  1. Well Nadroj's ship had a retro look to it, which i liked. I thought the design was pretty good and at par with his other stuff. If I had a son would just be glad to see him use snot techniques myself. How old is your son anyway? I might have voted for chuck but his superiority complex probably factored in on a subconcious level. :-D He was definately my third pick though.
  2. Poor Sir.N's moc seems to have been neglected, I think its the best myself followed very closely by 4j, who would have maybe been my top pick if he had come up with the basic design. (for those of you who are confused, he borrowed the design from a shefol)
  3. I agree with the guys above me. I mean its certainly more 'legal' than decapitating your minifigs and using their hands in MOC's. I thought you meant for the lego design team.
  4. got a question: what do you do if you're missing a bag? replacement parts or do you have to email them seperately explaining that a whole bag was missing?
  5. I always forget to post here on days when I do buy something so I'll just mention now that I recently bought the recycling truck and the container lifter. *wub*
  6. No2 FTW! I like the bull but the legs need work. and i ike the big horns.
  7. Brickfactory sometimes mis-names sets or puts them in the wrong theme too, which is annoying if you only know the set name or theme or you want to see all sets in a theme.
  8. is it just me or is Mrs.P looking fiiine! X-D
  9. why? Brickfactory is just the slow cousin of brickley's world. Peeron is good for quick references if you want to know what pieces are in the set.
  10. wow you guys are a little out there... *wacko*. but I joke. My confession is that I can't watch television or a movie or listen to radio while I build. It's not because I want the peace and quiet, its because media distracts me and ruins my ability to appreciate the model I'm building at the time. I pretty much have to associate the model with whatever radio program, tv show or movie was playing, so if I'm finishing a model I'll request my dad to turn down the volume on the radio, so I cant hear it in the loft or ask him not to watch TV up there. Ofcourse in no way do I demand these things but he often is glad to oblige. Another strange thing is that I've organized my lego in a seemingly abritrary manner, mainly by colour. I have boxes with junked moc's and a couple sets, sets in their own ziploc bags, a viking fortress box filled with whatever and a practically empty ATAT box from using the pieces for MOC's. But I get frustrated if pieces are accidentally transferred from one bag or box to another storage unit even though it really makes no difference.
  11. i checked today my TRU has been pretty stubborn and the best deal is 99$. Come on! I mean it's a really <insert that tiresome argument> set but at $40, id pick up atleast one.
  12. personally I think this is a neat theme. I mean there were some pretty slick cars in that show. and what's this nonsense about there not being any minifig scale sets in the racers theme? Here's one right now.
  13. This is very vague information provided by a person who cant even be trusted. I'll start to get excited when I see the pics ok...? edit: Nat, didnt you catch hinkleys sarcasm?
  14. indeed an excellent film
  15. well im not saying they dont sell stuff for over 50% off but to knock 80$ off the price. I wish we got deals like that here...
  16. apox on your house. X-D edit: I'll have to see what their going for at my TRU
  17. no way! thats over a 50% discount. I dont think so...
  18. I'm sorry but if there's one famous stand up act I hate, it's Demitri Martin's. It's just one liners delivered with a deadpan monotone voice. :-/
  19. Well no doubt about it, the guy's a genious and seinfeld is my favorite program and as far as I'm concerned it's up there with the works of Shakespear; I constantly make references to it that everyone scratches their heads over, but I never liked his stand up act that much.
  20. I guess Norm Macdonald. His act about being in the back seat of a car is hilarious. :-D Edit: Forgot about Frank Caliendo. Some of his jokes suck but his impressions are superb.

    City House

nice CAD work. The scene itself looks very retro.
  22. im just going to say this BFS, your creations are enough to make a guy like bionicle.
  23. wow, some really neat ideas 4j, especially the purification system. Just one thing, the engine cluster could be more detailed, are you planning on greebing it up? I also see a fenris wolf, some gold slopes and a crystal ball, what are they doing in there?
  24. Wait what was I saying?... I should be telling this kid to get off his lazy butt and help his mother out regardless of whether she says she'll buy it for him or not. I can't beleive the nerve of this guy. If his mom knew he made this topic I think she'd be ashamed. Well atleast he did it in the end. But next time, just clean it!
  25. whethe or not this is advice you want but I'll tell you what I do if I want to make expensive orders. I get a raincheck. My dad owes me $300 dollars by the time christmas rolls around and that along with $100-$130 will all go towards another big bricklink order. By then I'll have enough peices to order like most afols, supplements for a planned moc. So I would just get a raincheck and wait for christmas when I assume you would be able to get a $200 present and youll be able to get what you originally planned to buy. Patience is key.
