  1. I just want to build my own set-up. I am good with a solder gun and what not. but I needed to know what all I needed to buy
  2. but is there really anything else to talk about, regarding the new sets?
  3. now I'd like to see a replica of the 42042 crawler crane
  4. Is anyone going to the toy fair??
  5. Whoa, that is a lot of information. What is a diode going to do?? Do i need it. I just figured LED, resistor, switch, battery pack would be my set up. Do i need more??
  6. hmmm, seems like LAs are better. Not to mention then are more compact. with the pneumatics to be RC, you need a compressor somewhere on the model, which takes up more room. So I think that LAs would be a better choice
  7. Ok what should I do with this LED? http://www.radioshack.com/5mm-red-led/2760041.html#prefn1=productType&prefv1=4-7+mm+lens&start=6&tab=tab1
  8. awe c'mon, their has got to be someone else.... Why dont you explain to me y pneumatics are so much better then...
  9. I guess you are a pneumatics kinda guy
  10. I always knew they should make a 1L axle haha, anyway great idea!!
  11. Would anyone else rather the arcos be LAs instead of pneumatics? because I know I would rather longer LAs....
  12. wow what a difference between the two, nice work with making it more compact and more efficient
  13. I will probably get both, the crane and the acros. Build the truck and build the boom of the crane and combine. I just don't think the blue will go so well this the white and grey truck. something like this...
  14. I have to go to radioshack to see which LEDs fit inside of a pin hole in a LEGO beam. That is how im going to pick the LEDs I use. Thanks for the link to the article
  15. Hey guys, I want to make my own LED strips for my latest moc. I want to have a separate battery box (non-lego) and a switch (non-lego). It is going to be a fairly easy project, but I need help with resistors. I don't even know if I need any. If someone could please help me, that would be great. I have not bought anything so if you describe using something, I will probably just buy whatever you recommend. Thanks!!
  16. I don't usually follow GBCs, but I think I might have to look into them
  17. I too noticed that you could make a wheel if the track was inverted. But I never thought about literally making it a wheel. Great thought!!!
  18. looks good, but if I may give recommendation. Build the cab first, then the roll cage. It will look better trust me. Doing it this way will also allow you to build the cab more like the original truck. Happy building!
  19. haha, not even for the new parts? I am thinking the same thing as you. We were all expecting something much better
  20. ok, so just to check. does the picture on the box look similar to the replica? Also, I am just speaking from past experiences, but to me the tipper looks like it raises pretty high, which means that the lift angles is large. Now if this replica is correct, that means it will have trouble dumping a heavier load.
  21. Which blurry picture are you talking about?
  22. The LEGO designers basically have to do something like that. They need to do some Mercedes and they will want to use all the wheels that are in the A model. So a hook lift truck does seem reasonable, but I see one problem for you pneumatic guys, where will it all go.... With the hooklift truck, sure one or two cylinders will be used for the lift, but that is all that it will use. And the lift might not even be pneumatics, it could be LAs. No one knows (ok maybe one person does). So if this is the B model, then it might be a let down for some of us.
  23. I really like thus compared to the other one. It is more detailed. Lots of little parts.
  24. ok ok, it gives you idea of what it looks like. I was just a little excited to finally see a picture of what it could look like.
