I think we all know that the steering is a little odd... but my thought is, is that they used those parts because they needed them for the b-model. Just my thought

Well LEGO seems to like to do that to a lot of models. Especially when the function is steering. Sometimes the knob would be in the rear (like 42009) to steer, but not a lot of them. I mean sure it makes it look a little better, it is just the idea is spinning a light... idk

Ok, sorry but that is dumb that the lights on the top are a function... they could have just had the user spin a bevel gear to do the function, not spin the light....

What is your favorite part of the truck??

So what I can see: new gear rack pieces for the outriggers and the front side panels have more detail on them (I think that is new). One of my complaints is that the front at the wheels seems "see through" and the rear is very compact.

I like pneumatics would be the only way to go, with a lot of tubing reeled up like the string. you cant use PF, unless you put a battery box there(which NO) and another string might work, but it would need to have a lot of tension and think it would put the grapple up instead of opening it. Im sure someone will figure it out, someone much better than myself

OMG thank you so much!!!!! It looks pretty nice. BTW.. I dont think someone is going to be able to make a true ultimate model. How in the world would you power the grapple?!?!

It is definitely, And al of those crane can lift the weight of the crane it is lifting. CRAZY isnt it!
