Nagure, strike that vortex barrier, I do not think your weapon can hurt the undead. I will take the bride on the end. Nerwen's eyes narrow, she strikes Adept Eyrev with her wood staff from the front row I will be away from home over Christmas. I will have internet, but also lots of family to pay attention to. If I go 24hrs without posting, whatever Guts suggests Nerwen do, she does. -

To be fair, I had just spent the weekend playing Lego StarWars with my nephew. At least your puzzle wasn't on the wall with a pile of jittering pieces beneath. As for giving lifestealer up, I think the only way you'd get it is if Sonora flees with it embedded in her sternum.

It's a delicious way to so doubt and mistrust among the party... And I see what you're doing there, if its Guts who is frozen out of the battle it both closes the level gap slightly and makes it easier to balance enemies.

I hope I did not spoil anyone's fun. I think Endgame was only just behind me in picking it out also. We all have our roles to play, Seer. And if I bring balance and harmony, so much the better. I see you yourself have delved deeper into foul necromancy. I had accepted the resurrection of your General as a single action. But now that you have walked further down the path of despair, I have even fewer doubts about who is right and wrong here. Let us not waste time making bargains and threats, other than this. If you intend to flee, do so now. Otherwise, stay and see how impetuous Guts has become. Nerwen readies her weapon. thought I'd read everyone's inventories carefully enough. Mizuki does have a smoke bomb. As she prepares to administer the pheonix essence to Nagure, she notices he has fallen across the remains of the siege cart. She pushes the wheel and finds it still rolls. Putting the essence away, as it is no longer needed to save Nagure, Nerwen flees under cover of the smoke bomb Battle order(in case one is needed) Guts Mizuki throws smoke bomb (Maurice) (Nerwen) (Sorrow) (Nagure) Guts can have a turn at reaping more gold if you decide to grant Scubacarrot's special pleading that the attack on the riot cart was from the back row, despite his not specifying so. I agree. But I do not have a smoke bomb and I do not think Mizuki has either. If you do, then use it. Otherwise we must continue fighting. I am glad your messenger is standing watch. If we are to flee Nagure is too big to drag to safety, he will need to be revived. Nerwen uses phoenix essence on Nagure. -

The party has decided and I will abide. But I will say this. They are not our enemy. The Dark General is. What will happen to this town when we release it from his grasp? If all the guardsmen are gone, summilarly executed by you, who will protect those who are left? If we leave now, if we keep moving, we retain the advantage of surprise and can find the third amulet before he does. Be assured he will now be looking for it as his big booted inquisitor who fled has undoubtably reported our presence to him. You are thinking like a greedy man, not a sneaky one. I accept the guardsmen are not innocent. But if we killed everyone guilty of something we would need to kill everyone before turning the blade on ourselves. Their chance at freedom from the darkstar is not through our murdering them, but in us completing our task quickly. -

Nerwen spoke up. We should leave. The guardsmen are deceived, but they are not our enemy. We have a job to do and the longer we are distracted by others, the more prepared the dark general will be. I am all for moar XP+loot, but I'd like to progress the quest, last quest with Rumble the group fell apart distracted by Christmas. I really want to avoid that. -

Nerwen nods in satisfaction as the song of the scroll wraps around the machine, dimming the fire at its heart. Drawing her mace she steps forward to hit it. This contraption looks well built, it is a shame I cannot find a fragile point to strike. Nonetheless it will still do damage. She smiled quietly as the rogues bickered. Guts was never so much himself as when he was arguing. -

Nerwen could see the guardsmen reeling. But although the siege cart's operator was stunned, it was still a tough opponent. I will try sealing it again, we need to beware of its fire. Nerwen seals the cartagain, from the back row. In universe, if it's magic fire, its from a ruby. That doesn't mean the cart must drop a ruby. The battle could damage it or it might be imbued into a component that can't be quickly removed. But thanks, gems are always good drops! -

Nerwen looks at the contraption of red crystals. At its heart she could see a ruby, channeling ether into fire. Drawing a scroll from her bag she chants words to unbalance the flow, sealing the crystal's power. She hoped the power in the words would also prevent its driver from fixing the damage she hoped to do. I will seal the cart and driver. Someone will need to strike it to distract the driver and prevent a free hit. Thanga yassen Templa! Nerwen uses the scroll of sealing on the siege cart from the back row -

I will be at a (non-Lego :( ) conference for the next 5 days. I should still have access, but if I don't check-in in any given 24 hr period, Scubacarrot can nominate battle-actions for me. Ta! Watching Guts poke around was nothing new, but his random act of violence against the guardsman made her notice. The person she was speaking to ran out the door, shouting. Overhearing Gut's words to the cook, Nerwen understands what he was doing. Calling Nagure to help, she uses tables and chairs to barricade the door, sure that guardsmen would be here shortly. She wanted to delay them long enough for the party to find the amulet. -
