  1. Wary said that the spear Gofraid had was a gift from me, that Gofraid was not the town vig (as Hervi suggested) and that he was in fact the town vig. I clarified that it was unlikely my gift would be shown as a spear and that denying Gofraid was the town vig contradicted Hervi. (though Hervi was scum, and thereby likely spinning the truth for his own ends). However, the suggestion has already been made that the scum swap roles around? Scum-Wary may simply be taking credit for the actions of his team. But if that's the case, how did Snotra know for certain that Wary was Mr.Broadsword? Either Dragmall-scum can't swap actions and it would thereby be strange that Hervi-scum could, This contradicts Dagrun's testimony, and the experience of previous lives where scum could pass (at least the kill) roles around. OR Wary is a killer of some flavour with a fixed role and thereby unlikely to be Dragmall-scum. But if Wary is not Dragmall-scum, that pokes a big hole in the Dragmall-scum team theory.
  2. Battle order > Namyrra Light at Mephisto > Namyrra Light at Mephisto Benji attacks Mephisto (Demonic Scissors) Benji attacks Mephisto (Demonic Scissors) Hybros attacks Mephisto Hybros attacks Mephisto Guts throws Throwing Knife at Mephisto Guts attacks Lich Cinna attacks Lich (Healing Wand) Thothwick attacks Mephisto (Sabre) De'kra attacks Lich > William shoots Lichen Ravager > WIlliam shoots Skeleton Knight Sir Christopher attacks Skeleton Knight Nerwen attacks Mephisto (Torch Staff) > Sarick Lightning at Mephisto > Sarick Lightning at Mephisto Erik attacks Mephisto > Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lich Mizuki collects Slyph Shuriken (if thrown)/> Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lich(if not thrown) Sküld does nothing Dreyrugr does nothing > Thalion Fire at Lichen Ravager Raven Ashcroft protects Sküld Alexander protects Sküld And we're all in, except for Xarzan. I know Sarick favours Ice, but it would have no effect against an Icy foe.
  3. I think Petrus' plan almost works. It avoids all the issues town-Dragmall was talking about, ensures the death of scum-Petrus as well as inconviencing scum-Dragmall and vindicating town-Petrus. Some more randomised thoughts. Role stealing by scum? sounds like what Finn did. Perhaps that's why scum-dragmall was all freaky about that. And why Hervi-scum jumped on him (thinking he was Dragmall-scum) On the other hand, we have never seen anyone killed by spear. So... role stolen? perhaps not. Perhaps it's all a hypothesis based on pictures. Wary. What the Megablocks is he? Town Vig, Serial Killer, Other-scum killer? He has killed three scum at night. So one would think he's either neutral or town. But for Snotra's theory to fly, he has to be scum of a different flavour to the ones he has killed. I am surprised neither Snotra nor Petrus suggested lynching him to remove the dragmall-scum group's night kill... and dear ol' dad makes the obvious suggestion as I ponder my words...
  4. unvote:Dragmall(Dragonator) I cannot make there being five scum left add up. If Petrus is town and Dragmall not, it still won't be the end of the world. vote:petrus
  5. Hervi was frothing-mouth paranoid that there was a third faction. Perhaps he looked at the relatively low number of scum he knew and that formed the basis for his reasoning. Conversion apparently takes two nights. What if someone targeted Dragmall two nights running with an action that does not kill? Did anyone do that?
  6. Yes, but we can assume Wary will target Petrus tonight, and being the last scum, she'd have no one to block the kill. Even if the conversion finished tonight, I can't imagine the scum would immediately gain control of Wary's kill so, we simply lynch Wary tomorrow to end the game. It makes no difference in the long run. voting according to which is less risk is all there is to it. I know nothing for certain. Snotra's plan is plausible. It should be tested. And yes I have read all that has been said. From both 'sides'.
  7. Which of the quests are you referring to? If #44 it's no big deal, Mephisto eats heroes. That's scary! And IIRC sentinel does not protect against specials. It's all grist for the roleplay mill.
  8. If Dragmall is right, there is one scum left. Not lynching them today means a possible kill tonight, and another day to finish them off. If Snotra is right, there are three four or five scum left, Petrus is not one of them, lynching her and suffering a night kill by Wary means there are still three four or five scum left and tomorrow the last einherjar fight for their lives. There is nothing to lose by ignoring Dragmall's plan, and nothing to gain that cannot be gained tomorrow. There is seemingly everything to lose by ignoring Snotra. And everything to gain if he is right. unvote:Petrus(pandora) vote:Dragmall(dragonator)
  9. We only have the actions of the watcher to go. I am not fully sold on the 'converter' theory, but it is a possible explination for the apparently high number of scum so far. It is possible that Dagrun's talk of Petrus is simply a misdirect. However, assuming it is not, Petrus is a valid lynch target. vote:Petrus(pandora)
  10. Hybros is right. You wil be able to say afterwards you attacked an archdemon! Few can say that. Those who attack multiple enemies will take care of the others that remain. In the front row! Do not fear, Sir Daggerfall will protect you. With that said, Nerwen does so and swings her Torch staff at Mephisto from the front row Namyrra, Tell Sküld to heal one of us, if the Ravager falls before she gets to it, she could end up healing the demon! Battle order > Namyrra Light at Mephisto > Namyrra Light at Mephisto Benji Benji Hybros attacks Mephisto Hybros attacks Mephisto Guts throws Throwing Knife at Mephisto Guts attacks Lich Cinna Thothwick De'kra William WIlliam Sir Christopher Nerwen attacks Mephisto (torch staff) Sarick Sarick Erik > Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lich Mizuki collects Slyph Shuriken (if thrown)/> Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lich(if not thrown) Sküld heals Lichen Ravager Dreyrugr > Thalion Fire at Lichen Ravager Raven Ashcroft protects Sküld Alexander protects Sküld
  11. So Sveinn has an action which does not kill. If we postulate that Dragmall was indeed the scum's target last night. Then the lack of kill could be attributed to Sveinn's protection rather than Dragmall's block. This would entail that Dragmall's choice of block target cannot be used to infer the scum killer because of the lack of kill. This does not necessarily clear Petrus. But more information is needed.
  12. Fair enough. I spoke quickly. But I am wondering, if this is the last day, as people seem to believe (whether it's lynch one more scum and they're gone or lynch a townie and town loses at night), why aren't all the cards on the table? Surely the defence you give Wary, that he's been a good pet and we should keep him is sufficient? Why didn't he make that rather than persist with a claim that would obviously be tested hard? Ok. Let's here from everyone as to who was targeted when. This will shine light on the odd corners and seal somone's case. Of course, there are liars who want to keep their lies hidden... I have already had my targets laid bare, and the (occasional lack of) reasoning. I am happy to summarise again. Night one: Target Finn. Succesful. Finn has a one-shot bulletproof ability. Night two: Target Gofraid: Succesful, but Gofraid is now dead. Night three: Unsuccessful Night four: Target Dragmall Successful, but no effect. Night five: Target Dragmall Successful, Dragmall has one-shot role-block (ascetic) ability It is also worth remembering that all we can verify at the moment is a player's abiity to target, rather than their allegiance. Dragmall says that I cannot have been blocked night three since he blocked Finn and the scum must have blocked the protector, since the protector was protecting Bergulf who was killed that night. I pointed out that it is possible that Svienn did not in fact protect Begulf that night, and may not even be a protector. Dragmall stalled and said he would let me know everything tomorrow. Let's have it all...
  13. Oh dear. Want to try again, or be lynched as a liar? Perhaps that's a hint as to who we need to be looking at?
  14. Looks like Harald made it back in time to see the finale. Convienent. It seems I owe Mr. broadsword an apology for doubting. I look forward to the final revelation.
  15. Sorry Flare, somehow missed your post. fixed now, Sandy, is a petrified hero treated like a KO'd hero in regard to XP at end of battle? Or just like any other hero with an effect (ie the negative effect vanishes without penalty) I've chosen for Xarzan. If he posts before you run the round no sweat, otherwise we should be good to go. Battle order Benji attacks Pheles Rod (demonic scissors) Benji attacks Pheles Rod (demonic scissors) > Namyrra Light at Mephisto > Namyrra Light at Mephisto Guts attacks Revenant Nobility Guts attacks Zombie Peasant Hybros attacks Mephisto Hybros attacks Mephisto > Dreyrugr uses Potion on Erik Erik attacks Spectre Thothwick protects Sküld > De'kra attacks Lichen Warlord Sir Christopher attacks Skeleton Mage > Nerwen heals Lichen Ravager > Sarick Ice at Skeleton Knight > Sarick Ice at Skeleton Knight > Sküld arc-heals Skeleton Not a valid target. Skeleton is gone already > Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lichen Warlord Mizuki collects Slyph Shuriken (if thrown)/> Mizuki throws Sylph Shuriken at Lichen Warlord(if not thrown) > Cinna uses Pheonix essence > William attacks Spectre > WIlliam attacks Lichen Ravager Raven Ashcroft protects Sküld Alexander protects Sküld Thalion (Petrified) Benji should go first, so that if he takes out the Pheles Rod, our mages wil have a clear shot at all the enemies. Cinna should go as late in the order as possible, so that if anyone is knocked out before her, they too will be revived. Sküld, I am glad you are staying near Namyrra again, but you need to choose another target.
  16. Interesting as it is to read about how a heroica adaptation would work, the question needs to be asked, how would such an adaptation handle the parts that are derivative or otherwise blatant rip-offs? From Dastan, say, would the Pongcanis and Tethusai look different or would they be removed? Would the Rito be called something else? What about JB's the storm quest? Would it be obvious up front that it's Shakespeare repackaged or only in hindsight? Or the many lines of dialogue shamelessly stolenborrowed from movies? Because JKR got away with plundering classical mythology and throwing it in a blender, does that mean Sandy can? (no offence meant here, I love Sandy's work, my answer would be big yes) How much mythology should we expect the audience to know?
  17. Namyrra is using a Phoenix incense. It revives all KO'd heroes. Revived heroes can act normally in the round after being revived. In any case I suggest you do nothing. But you need to say.
  18. Nerwen sees Cinna going through the hand gestures she uses to summon lightning. But listening to her aura, there is no power there. Cinna! You have no ether left! Try something else! Looking at Sküld fiercely contemplating the pile of bones that used to be the skeleton, she says gently That one is no longer a threat, child. Focus on the skeleton over there with the helmet Turning to the others she said,Sarick, Benji, ninja-girl, who are you attacking? Nerwen also knew that William, rogue-boy and the guy who reminded her of Quigon, a master from home, would also get to attack after the Pheonix incense was burnt. Battle order > Namyrra Light at Mephisto > Namyrra uses Pheonix incense Guts attacks Revenant Nobility Guts attacks Zombie Peasant Hybros attacks Mephisto Hybros attacks Mephisto > Dreyrugr uses Potion on Erik Erik attacks Spectre Thothwick protects Sküld > De'kra attacks Lichen Warlord Sir Christopher attacks Skeleton Mage > Cinna Lightning at Lich You have no ether left! The Lich ate it all! > Sküld arc-heals Skeleton Not a valid target. Skeleton is gone already > Nerwen heals Lichen Ravager Thalion (Petrified) Still waiting on Mizuki & Mizuki Benji & Benji Sarick & Sarick William & WIlliam Raven Ashcroft Alexander
  19. Thanks for speaking up Dragmall. I would like to make it clear my vote on beorn was placed without knowing he was the role-cop that had been mentioned...
  20. I also would like the night three issue pursued. I am not lying (I have no good reason to insist I was blocked, I'm not going to be lynched over it, and could just say "my action failed") but I was blocked. So what happened to raise the other block claim? Let's have it. Oh, and until a better suspect comes along unvote:patrekr(palathadric) Oh wait. Perhaps a vote will motivate Beorn to speak up soon vote:beorn(bob)
  21. Now we have some context for your lobbing a conversion suspicion at me earlier. Though why couldn't Hervi have been completely honest about his role? A combo tracker-killer? Sounds useful to the scum. Plus it's another role that's a twist on a known role, and includes a random element. Maybe my role is not so unbelievable? You are right. I've got things out of sequence there. your comments on sheepishness came later. Fun as it would be to OMFGUS Snotra, Dragmall picks up on a suspicion I've had for a while, though without evidence. vote: Patrekr (Palathadric) sorry Dad. Dragmall may or may not be protecting a power role by not disclosing who he believes was blocked. I don't know for certain. However. if it was a power role who claims to have been blocked by scum, perhaps their power also has a twist and or a random element that they do not want to admit to. That would explain the failure of their action without the need for a blocker. The same reasoning also applies to me. I was not 100% certain I was blocked night three until last night , when I could compare the wording of a successful action with no effect report to an unsuccessful action.
  22. I am glad my fellow einherjar find truth compelling. However, the question still remaining is, if not me, then who? The day wears on. Is someone else going to speak up? Beorn? Dragmall? Rurik perhaps? How about you Snotra? Still set against me?
  23. Rhymes with poise doesn't it?
  24. Nerwen smiles gently. They are already dead. We need only break the magics that hold them from peace. But I was talking more to the money-grubbing rogues. I saw your powerful hits on the icy archdemon.
  25. No worries. I do need to pay closer attention to how I appear. I do know I work best when I have someone to bounce off. This game has been frustrarting for me. The two previous games I played as scum , I knew what was going on. This time I don't. And I don't like that. Plus trusting Hervi has burnt my fingers. It's weird that extending trust to someone is actually a reason for them to mistrust yourself. As for being accused as scum, that's to be expected, it's the lack of other suspects today that's troublesome.
