  1. Nerwen nods. The undead would face up to the power of the Gods. Nerwen heals the priestess Am I right in thinking row is not taken into account regarding healing? If not, back row.
  2. Nerwen watches Mizuki pick up the bow. She guestures lightly, indicating she has foregone her claim. Slowly lowering her staff from the Gut's forehead, she said in a tight voice. It would be surprising if Sonora was still there rather than having taken the amulet to the General. Even if she is, she will have made... preparations. But we will follow. Lead on. RP-wise I'm really glad Guts is along, especially after the end of the previous quest together. And I'm much more about RP than mechanics. Game mechanically I can see the stress. But I think you're doing a great job Rumble. Your choices are resulting in a great story!
  3. Better answer? I suggested to Mizuki that she use her compass to find the key. But the key was destroyed. Was there another opportunity to suggest something amongst all the running back and forth from the beach? Perhaps now you have had your fix we can return to finding out what made those tracks out of the sea?
  4. With a swift move, the tip of Nerwen's torch staff pushes on Guts' forehead, the ruby inside glowing a sullen, pulsing red. Greedy rogue! First your violence breaks things. Then in your addiction addled brain you think it right to just take without discussion. In our faces no less. Leading a party requires care for all, not simply yourself. You are making this quest more difficult than it needs to be. and in an OoC explanation, Rumble has already bemoaned the difficulty of balancing battles given the sheer amount of damage a buffed Guts does. I know that you built him to do that Scuba, and that in some senses it's not your problem, it's Rumble's. However, it's the rest of the party that gets squished, or worse, does not feel like we are contributing much to battles. And that breeds disconnected players, which is bad for the game as a whole. I'm not sure what I'm asking for here. Guts acted completely predictably (in-character). And, knowing you, Scuba, you put thought into that action rather than doing things heedlessly. I guess I wanted to point out a side you might not have thought over. Anyway, done is done.
  5. We are trying to summon the Kraken are we not?
  6. It is a shame Sarick is not here. I have seen him freeze a lock such that a small blow shattered it and opened such a chest. Mizuki, since you have that compass, perhaps it can point in the direction of the key. Nerwen checks the bow and arrows. If the can be moved, she picks them up, if not, she damages the bow and breaks the arrows so that it cannot be used.
  7. Nerwen picks up the shackles of war. I expect that we will come across the other inquisitors soon. It would be helpful if they were not able to run back to the General.
  8. After Mizuki gives the nod, Nerwen collects the weapons(except the sword grabbed by Guts) and brings them to the middle of the room for everyone to see. Using a small amount of ether she identifies the properties of each.
  9. Nerwen watched Mizuki dart in front of her aiming at the riot cart. With a bang the net closed over the ninja-girl carrying her backwards into Nerwen. Nerwen could not see or move. She could only hear. Footsteps and crunching sound. Then silence. A knife darted in, inches from her face, slicing the net open and freeing her. The roguish grin on Guts' face and the negligent way he twirled the knife that had freed her told Nerwen all she needed to know about the outcome of the battle. Turning her back she rolled her eyes and searched for Hlin's sword and other weapons.
  10. There are three. And do not forget, the one we saw fled, I would not count her as defeated. And we still need to find the third amulet. And hope that Sonora does not work out what the amulets do. Seeing that the guardsmen had their hands full with the rest of the party, Nerwen focussed on healing herself.
  11. Nerwen heals Hlin. Nagure! Be bold in your actions!
  12. Nerwen replies, Crush us? Have you been practicing your crushing? Perhaps you tried scrunching some paper, or smashing an insect? Although, I would be surprised if you managed either by yourself. Did you need help from the big hat to do it? Are you relying on power that is not your own? Nerwen aims her words to goad Arkyll to anger, opening him to a strike from her mace. Arkyll, back row, mace.
  13. Such a thing is not... impossible. There is much about magic and necromancy that I do not know, but know elements. Undead creations mirror their creators, but necromancers are often obsessed and violent. Their creatures are means to an end, not an end in themselves. Witness, Sonora and her sisterhood, how many do you think she would sustain if she is successful in her quest to end all other life? Nerwen shuddered, the thought of the cacophonous music of life being still clearly distressing her. Returning to her original thought she continued, You seem to be endowed with purpose, but what it is I can not say, nor can I read it from your form or state. Ether is a complex thing to manipulate, and there are as many ways to do it as there are people. Each ether-user has their own idosyncratic style... Her thought trailed off and she shrugged.
  14. Nerwen greeted Vres and Laxadaisi warmly. It is good to see you both whole. I feared, when I heard the Maginistra's words, that you would be hurt. Do not be downcast Vres, home and Jui wait for you. Thank you Laxadaisi for your generous offer. And yes, Sarick did use the brush. He looked most strange with a thick head of hair. But I believe it all fell out the next time he shed his skin, as Naga do. I wish you safety for the journey back, the Maginistra has provided a magic door in the trees to the south of the town. Nerwen swivelled to face the flamboyant swordsman. So Hlin, you took my advice and became a hero. But you have indeed been a fool. You ought to have sought us out. We would gladly have followed you, rather than you dragging these fine people across the sea to a cramped cell. No matter. We are here now. Share with us all you have discovered regarding the Dark General and we will draw blades and vanquish the foe together. Pausing for a moment, Nerwen spoke softly to Sorrow I am sorry that I was not able to heal you in battle. Perhaps it is because I am not quite sure what you are. Unfortunately now does not seem to be the time to hear your tale. But be assured, I do want to hear it.
  15. Perhaps they sharpen the infinite ammunition. It's the sharpening of musical instruments for the minstrel that is mind-boggling.
  16. Nerwen held up her hands placatingly I did not mean to cast doubt on your pain, which is clearly real. Just expressing my incredulity at such an event. It sounds more like the ending of one of Wigglepike's bad tragedies, where rocks fall and everyone dies. In any case, you are here and your torso now appears appropriately convex so you obviously were not left to rot. Plus, there are enemies before you to hit, friends at your side and free presents in your pockets, what better way to spend Grogmas?
  17. Thousands of ether cores? I do not believe it. And from no-where? Such a pile would be a huge concentration of frozen ether, it would distort power for miles around it. Not to mention it would be worth a fortune big enough to put even Guts to shame. Your story sounds like an hallucination of some sort. As for your gift, Grogmas is known for his sense of humour. But if you do not want your gift, I am sure that you would like the gold someone will give you in exchange for it. An ether core may be helpful in a future battle.
  18. I do not understand. Clearly none of those things has happened. The universe is still here, we are Heroica and it seems you received a gift from Grogmas, even though I deem it unlikely you follow many orcish customs. What then is the problem? Are you upset with your gift, which has come to you for free?
  19. Nerwen years the clatter of boar's hooves and the clunking of the iron bells of Father Grogmas's sleigh. Oh, I had not realised it was so late in the year. Happy Grogmas's Day! Nerwen watches as a bulky present for Nagure materialises before him and smiles as he pulls out a yeti coat. Guts, predictably has found more alcohol and sorrow... turning sharply at Sorrow's shouting and profanity she speaks loudly over his ranting Calm yourself assassin, what is the matter?
  20. I am not certain my power reaches to restoring one who has no life. But I will try. Nerwen heals Sorrow.
  21. Taking advantage of the distraction caused by Guts' dancing, Nerwen attacks Rais with her mace from the front row.
  22. Nerwen blinks and shudders. Coming out of a trance like state she finds herself in the prison. A large reptile before her. Despite her travels she had never seen it's like. Nagure seemed to be well disposed to it, however. Perhaps being eight foot and covered in hair made one less cautious around sharp toothed beasts. I'm back. And also, Costy, how do you pronounce Nagure's name, I asked before, but perhaps you missed the question. (Or I missed the answer)!
  23. Hearing that the rogues have decided upon a plan, Nerwen nods once. Then she turns her attention to the vortex barrier, hitting it with her mace, front row.
  24. Does a cleric's special guard have a half chance of blocking the effect of a special or only a chance of blocking effects applied to the cleric themselves. Did you roll for special guard rumble? Perhaps you should throw some of that gold at their heads, you would do more damage that way raider. Nerwen continues attacking Eyrev, from the back row this time.
  25. Nerwen strikes Eyrev again, front row
