  1. How did you do the movie posters? Do you have a file of the correct size somewhere? As far as building goes, I have been ordering more and more of the Medium Blue bricks so i can continue on it. I laid the ground work of the white bricks right now, and I am trying to figure out if I am going to have 2 small theaters like yours on one side, or do I want to have 1 on either side of the building with a small concession stand in the back. I am also debating if I want to make it 2 stories with the upstairs being the managers office and 2 small projection rooms to play the movies. (I am not to crazy on how they have them set up now.)
  2. I have never purchased or owned any train sets before, this year I am going to buy all 3 sets. They are soo nice.
  3. You know if they did a museum, imagine all the MOC's of different wings of the museum. (Think The Museum of Natural History/Smithsonian Museum's in Washington DC) You could have a solar system in one side, then dinosaurs, then civil war etc... That would be awesome and would wind up selling more sets! Personally, I am still hopping for a corner post office. All the town would need after that is a hospital, school and police station and everything else would be cake.
  4. How much did the parrots run you? When I was BLing my CC last year, they were to expensive to get the Dark Bluish Grey ones, (rather I wasn't paying the asking price for them), so I got the old Dark Grey birds for pennies. You really can't tell the difference. I would check to see if anyone is offering the part with the turnable plate already installed. I went this route and it was a lot cheaper for whatever reason. Maybe I was lucky. Also with the Dark Red slopes, I think the new Creator set is going to have them, so the price should go down. (This is all depending if the picture of the set indeed was them.)
  5. I don't know how I feel now that I have seen it.
  6. I actually like that train station!
  7. I love that couch! Great job!
  8. I wanted to bump this topic to the top, I know there is a lot of discussions going on across a few different modular threads. If we keep the general discussion here and the specific topic talk there, we can keep everything straight. Just a suggestion!
  9. I can't wait to see these things, more than likely I'll mod them to fit the mold of other modulars though. I just wish they made something different than a cafe or bike shop.
  10. Everyone please remember to post pictures of your brick linked Market Street's! We should get a club badge for having brick linked the modulars!
  11. I hope you don't mind, I was hopping to use some of your ideas for my own Town Plan Cinema. I have almost brick linked the entire thing and want to turn it into a modular such as yours.
  12. That bar, this build. Simply amazing! I have to echo the comment about the stairs to the attic. Any plans for it?
  13. Looks nice, now to start planning the interiors!
  14. Love the city! Any plans to add road plates?
  15. I was the same way when I built mine. I had to wait 2 weeks to finish certain parts when I was waiting on some of the parts from Europe. It's such a nice build.
  16. The houses look good where they are.
  17. I am looking to place a bricks and pieces order, do the sales reps mind if you call and ask for prices on parts? Sorry for the interruption, but I was curious as to the reaction everyone has gotten from their reps. Thanks!
  18. You got a great deal on the arches, when I bought mine last year, I got them on sale from a seller in Russia for 16 bucks each! Sigh.
  19. Looks great! You better get that bigger table soon!
  20. I'd pull the trigger now and get it. Some of the other modulars are going for 500-600 bucks nowadays. I am seriously thinking about getting another Grand Emporium to make it more grand.
  21. I think 75% of the fun is pricing everything out and searching for the best deals, when I did my 3, I didn't really know how to use Bricklink to it's potential.
  22. I don't think those are 1x2 cheese pieces, they look like 1x2 tiles. How did you make this?
  23. I know what you mean, I did GC, MS and CC all at the same time to save on costs, in total it took me about 9 months to complete all the purchases for the parts. I was limiting myself to about 100 bucks a month, this allowed my budget to be manageable and also to stay on top of all my parts orders. You will feel such a sense of accomplishment once you're finished building it. Out of the 3, the GC is by far the best.
  24. Thank you! I've always wanted a train, and looks like this year will be the year!
  25. Are you planning to do the other 2 modulars as well?
