  1. I doubt anyone looks at this thing and thinks "koi", but point taken. Brickset did do a feature on how this set would look with a more cohesive blue scheme, and it does look better. Plus, it really needs a big Technic figure to top it off.
  2. Nice to see you back, Sariel, even if it's just for a moment.
  3. It's not available from regular retailers in the UK either. The only place it's available is TLG Shop or sites like eBay. Often for a serious premium in the latter. Why has TLG done this?
  4. Brickset's review is in. Major negs are the colour scheme and the stickers being responsible for the look.
  5. This should be the attachment that comes with the set. Nice work.
  6. Apologies, I was thinking of this part! Doy.
  7. The parts in the top pic are Slizer discs and Roborider wheels along with gears and connectors from those sets. There's a couple of Bionicle masks as well. Also, there's a Znap wheel and a Rock Raiders drill. Nostalgia overload for me - I had loads of sets from all of these themes back in the day. Except for Znap. The white snowflake-like part is actually K'Nex. The large brick is a Spybotics hub - this one is from the Technojaw set.
  8. It's not exact, but the mining truck shares a lot of features with the truck from 42055 (especially the front stairs) and the colour scheme from 42035. Even the bed shape and tipping gear function are extremely similar, as is the chassis at the rear. And the excavator is too close for comfort. They've clearly taken "inspiration" from TLG's designs while changing just enough to avoid actual infringement. And it doesn't sit well with me.
  9. Plus the company (at least partially) copies TLG's designs. This is evident in the mining truck and excavator.
  10. The video is titled somewhat inaccurately, given that the first official Technic chainsaw appeared in 42080.
  11. The dump truck looks familiar... nah, maybe not... Oh, right.
  12. At the moment this does seem like a filler-type set, but hopefully the official images will surprise us.
  13. Which technically wasn't an excavator, but a waste handler. So yeah, it probably will be the same setup.
  14. Think I prefer the colour scheme on your version! But yes, the set is pretty great.
  15. Hi! You don't need to make a new thread for every question. Rather, you should raise these questions on your original thread. This prevents too many threads clogging up the forum.
  16. I'm aware of Uwe and Markus's trademarks; Milan uses the Czech registration OK- for some of his sets and other sets use his initials and birth year - MR80. Michael has MT/MJ and Olav has OK420. Other designers use similar conventions. And now we have "Taki" for Sam Tacchi.
  17. Guess that's where the "Taki" branding comes from. Dammit, it's never Soul Calibur...
  18. This is a seriously cool set! It's something that hasn't been done before either so it gets heavy points for that.
  19. It's only used on emergency vehicles in the City theme, so I doubt it's replacing regular yellow.
  20. Cool and innovative! Yes, technically speaking (the best kind of speaking ) there's no B-model, but since this is essentially two vehicles in one, I'm giving it a pass on that point. And as I've stated before, the arctic explorer side would go great with 42038. Plus, it's pretty clear from the orientation of the power hazard symbol that the arctic explorer side is the main body. Fight me.
  21. For some inscrutable reason the All-Terrain Vehicle isn't showing up in the 'Coming Soon' section on the Shop in the UK. Weird, as the other March sets do.
