  1. Wow fantastic landscaping! The snow and path are perfect! love the deer and what you did with the trees, I like that a lot. the titel of this piece describes the look and feel of the MOC nicely, great work!
  2. I like the way you made it on a round base, great border! colorscheme is lovely & those trees are very organic looking, superb job on that!
  3. I’m in love with those windows, excellent! great detailing and textures throughout the build, looking forward to see more!
  4. Pretty sweet, I like the composition and the dark red leaves, brings a nice atmosphere in the scene. also good job on the stone work and the colors ?
  5. Pretty tall, I didn’t know so I measured it. from the very bottom to the very top, the tower measures 64cm, that’s more or less 25 inches or 2ft ? thank you all for your good comments! Very appreciated ?
  6. Nice build, love the amount of detail and the reddish brown windows. the roof works well and brings a good bit of color in the scene ?
  7. Thank you very much, glad you like it ?
  8. A few miles away from the big outer city walls, next to a small river on a rock, a watch tower rises high above the trees. It was build to spot enemy troops from a distance, to ensure a defense could be prepared. This is my first Castle/Medieval themed MOC, also my first tower. Many great MOCs from other people inspired me to do this. I enjoyed this project a lot, it was a blast for me to create something totaly different from my usual activity. Making more MOCs within this theme is very likely! More on Flickr
  9. Hello, I’m Kevin, 32 years old from Willebroek, Belgium. I’m now building a Castle themed setting which is nearly finished. My latest MOC is this Custom truck, I finished this in late November 2017. The car is based on a 1930 Ford Model AA truck with custom chassis, RWD drivetrain, suspension and several other details. I tried to incorporate as many technical details as I could. Since it’s brick built, those technical details don’t work, they are esthetical except for steering.. More on Flickr
  10. Not much spare time on my hands but I've managed to redesign the rearaxle. Any input is very appreciated. Kevin SUV5.lxf
  11. Rearaxle update below ;) Hello all, I got interested in your fantastic Technic MOCs and wanted to learn how to do it. So I've started (in LDD) to build my first Technic MOC, well it's a motorised chassis with Model Team body. I'm trying to make it remote controlled driving and steering, I've opted for RWD as AWD might be a little to much for a starter. I'd like to know if I'm on the right track or completely failing. I've used 2 M motors, red for steering, green for driving. The batterybox probably will be placed on top of the rearaxle in the trunk aswell as the receiver. Sorry, no pictures but LDD file is attached. Any input is very welcome and appreciated. Kevin SUV3.lxf
  12. I've updated the area that holds the motors. The red motor (left) powers the steering while the green one (right) powers the rear wheels (LDD). I've started on the drivetrain taking your tips into account. Any input? LDD file attached Thanks Kevin SUV3.lxf
  13. Thank you very much for your input! 1. Will do that, I was thinking that aswell. Thanks 2. I tested the gearrack in real bricks a minute ago as I have those few parts in hand (except the motor) and apparently it does slide over the studs rather smoothly :) 3. Good you mention this, I've tried 5L beams in LDD but they won't attach as indeed they haven't the correct lenght hence the solution with the 3L axles.. I might redesign that part holding the motor to the chassis along the way. I'm not sure the current solution is good enough. Thanks again for your time and input ;) Kevin
  14. UPDATE BELOW 29/01 As the title says, I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to LEGO Technic. I actually only build Model Team but these fantastic Technic MOCs make me very interested in trying it out. I'm trying to create a Model Team SUV body but with Technic underpinnings as I want to make it remote controlled steering and driving (RWD as 4WD is to much for a starter). But with 0 experience it's not that simple therefor I'd like to reach out to you for input. Will this steering setup work? The top axle will connect the steering wheel. Hope I don't make a complete fool out of myself as I feel kinda stupid but I'm eager to learn! Any input is very appreiated! Kevin SUV.lxf
  15. Looks great! I've built the big LEGO set 2 years ago, it was a blast! Neat looking micro version, I like the cables and the actual opening bridge. Also looks perfect next to Big Ben ;) Kevin
  16. Thank you. Yes indeed the reartires don't really fit, I'm on the look out for other tires on BrickLink but I'm not sure which ones to order yet. Kevin
  17. Thank you, as for the ground clearance it's an absolute minimum.. Front is 1mm and rear 2-3mm.. It's driveable but front end scrapes ;) First version I've made rolled at least 3-4mm higher but looks were less therefor I chose to drop it further. Kevin Honestly the meshing isn't perfect, it skips from time to time.. It works best turning right ;) But if you add a little presure on top of the angled gears it works very smoothly tho. Unfortunatly there isn't enough pressure generated by the body ;) Kevin
  18. Brilliant! Perfectly back-engineerd model!
  19. Good day, It has been 5 years since I've built anything with LEGO but recently I've started on this. After designing the model in LDD the past 2 weeks it has now been built with real bricks. I really like the outcome. It has a working steering wheel and other details. I'm planning to redesign my older 2 rods using this new platform and steering technique followed by an entirely new car I'm allready working on in my head. Hope you like it too, any input is appreciated. Thank you. Kevin https://www.flickr.com/photos/46736604@N07/
  20. Thank you ;)
