2009 yet another fantastic year for LEGO
Perterz replied to Front's topic in General LEGO Discussion
€295,615,157.78 (I entered 2,2 billion DKK in xe.com) For the report: I like how LEGO shares that information, that's one serious growth! 1 Day everything will be built out off LEGO -
This has been posted before?! I can't find the link to the thread tho..
-
Well yeah, it's pretty much pointless to post any MOCs, nobody comments but a week later you see your stuff on somebody elses MOC and everybody is like 'wow original, never seen that done before'... [/rant] Anyway, I like them tho, they look very well build and in proportion. The different shades of gray (?) add to the realism somehow, or is this caused by lightning? Do you have a close-up picture from one of the Jeeps on the left in this picture? They look funky fresh.

Modifying your LDD
Perterz replied to Zerobricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've always wanted this!! But the link doesn't work for me apperantly. -
Thanks man! Yes I feel the same, front wheels are to wide. The day LEGO produces the wheel that would fit the best in Black is the day those wheels will be added to the MOC.. Sidenote: Did I post this in the wrong forum?! Kevin.

Good day all, After my first large scale car I've build a second one, another rod. There's not much to say about this creation, a rough 800 pieces found their way into this. The main experiment was to create some rusted bits and pieces through the bodywork and engine, I've tried to accomplish this goal by using Reddish Brown parts, I intented to use this color mixed with some Dark Orange but I had to scrap the last one since the parts I need do not exist in that color or were to expensive! I'm really happy with the result, I love Rat Rods and hope to build/drive one someday in my life. I hope you enjoy the MOC as much as I do, if I only could eliminate the dust O yeah note that the 2 yellow Technic connectors will be replaced by black ones, the 2 trans medium blue dishes I used as lights will be replaced by trans yellow ones. FLICKr Kevin

Lot is sold
-
Well there still is a possibility to have the luck as it isn't 100% sold yet! At the moment it is reserved actually. The buyer will let me know within the hour his final decision. If he doesn't take it within the hour, it's yours if you still want it! Kevin.
-
EDIT: SOLD I still have this beautiful lot containing 4 sets from the 2003 Orient Expedition range. It contains sets 7411 - 7415 - 7416 - 7418 All are in excellent condition and are 100% complete! Which means all parts, figures and playcards, for set 7418 also the playboards and dice are included. Also all instructions and boxes are included. Estimated weight of the lot is around 2kg, meaning shipping this lot can be expensive hence why I give a 10% discount on the lot on top off competitive prices if you check BrickLink. These sets feature great parts and colors, a few interesting figures and animals and lots off quality playtime for the whole family! Works for displaying purposes aswell offcourse If the lot isn't sold by the end off the week, these will end up in my own personal collection. It is sold via BrickLink only. view superlot on BL Kevin.

Anyone want pieces from Chromebricks.com?
Perterz replied to Dennimator's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
PM'ed you aswell -
You can list submodels or incomplete sets, even custom sets etc at BrickLink! You can sell anything on there as long as it is real LEGO... I've recently listed complete midlevels for Café Corner owners, I'm actually in the process to do that again! Kevin

Help! I am only 1 brick away.....
Perterz replied to legolandia's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have only 1 of those in Black and don't have a use for it. If a Black one is good & you pay shipping, I'll post it to you for free. You also could make shipping worthwile if I could add a couple more items you need? Kevin. -

Perterz replied to Dennimator's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Yes, I am interested to do this, I'm after 1 lot of 4 items that equals a little over 6 EUR -
Update 19.02.2010: I decided to move some parts rather quickly as I'm reorganising my store. Some parts are 25% or 75% off, most are 50% off for the whole lot! It's not much but all are at least priced as cheapest available in Europe, most are even cheapest available on Bricklink surtout! Also I'm putting together more lots to sell this way to be added almost daily. Open orders allowed as usual, no coupons for these please. Click here to see all items on sale! Click here to go to the store Thanks for looking/buying! Kevin.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Perterz replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
o O thank you LEGO I want them all -
I don't really buy sets for the sets but for the parts + I place a lot more BL orders for parts than I buy sets. But some sets are bought for display, as I collect AND build the modular houses. I have a couple sets I still want to have for the set, eg Taj Mahal, Fallingwater etc Those sets could be displayed but also could end up like this Winter Toy Shop I will not mix any of the complete sets I buy with the pile of loose parts I buy!

Great! Not a modder myself but I can see why other people do it and I enjoy it from time to time. These look pretty good! I've noticed the gold hips, never seen that before. The gold and chrome plating seems to be decent quality and looks awesome, well done! The last 2 weapons and last figure are just brilliant, which manufacturer are those shoulder pieces from? Welcome

Parts you have an unaccountable fondness for?
Perterz replied to Svelte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I also have a couple to add since I saw a couple more animals posted! Yeah I have a real soft spot for LEGO animals. -
I actually prefer a well balanced mix of both. I just love that shiny smooth tile finish but some texture or rough surfaces/effects look really good and recognizable/comfortable with stud finish. It just depends on a couple things I guess, like always.

I have a soft spot for these: also the 1x4 version! This one is pure for looks, started as a child seeing the 1x2's appear in Brown in Western sets. + other versions of curved slopes I do not know why exactly I love these bricks so much. Probably because of their possible uses. They tend to be the most ordered parts by me for MOCs aswell. + most animals get the flame inside going! -
Update 03.02.2010: Do you find your 10182 Café Corner to be too small? Have you always wanted to expand your 10182 with more midlevels? Now you have your chance to buy seperate midlevels as add-on! I have a few available soon at Brickpage! Thanks.

Hot Rod
Perterz replied to Perterz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks, it was the only piece I had lying around that fitted the colorsheme and looked good as ornament.
