  1. I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the link to that group, looking forward to join. Thanks for the few opinions!
  2. Thanks. Yes I made a mistake with those beams, they should be 2 holes shorter
  3. Hi, thanks for reading. My previous MOC only took 5 hours to build yet my newest took a lot longer. I've worked on this one for a couple months on and off. I took my time to create and finish it and found the project very challenging yet a pleasure to work on. A lot of 'first timers' for me on this one tho as it's the first time I've build a car on this scale, with turning wheels which are connected to the steeringwheel. Also a lot off SNOT techniques and Technic elements were used as I've never done that before but for others probably is basic. There probably are some bits and pieces that could be improved, as always; I'm very satisfied with the result at this moment. Please take a look at it and criticise the model, I would highly appreciate it to improve this model and future projects. The car is 12 wide excluding sidemirrors and wheels, build in 3 sections with removable V8 engine. Also the back opens up for easy acces to luggage. During the process I've asked for some help, mainly with the Technic aspect, thanks to all who contributed and helped me forward with constructive comments and advice! Flickr Thank you, Kevin.
  4. Are you saying you dream about a situation, a conversation and it happens exactly like you've dreamed it within the next weeks -> I do have this far to often. Sometimes I don't know anymore if reality is reality but that's another subject I guess.. About ghosts: I've never saw things like that myself but I know people who have. My sister who is 2 years older than me claims she sees my dead grandfather, but she doesn't like it, she's terrified by the appearance eventho all my grandfather did was looking at her with a smile and a thumbs up. There was a time she saw the appearance 2 times a week. I think I'm gonna ask her about it again since we both moved into our own places and don't live with our parents anymore. My ex girlfriend used to live in a big old mansion with her mother when she was a kid. As we both are interested in paranormal stuff we did talk a lot about the subject. She shared an experience with me: When she was a kid, as she went asleep she always got visits from 'doctors', figures in white overalls came to her and examined her. This happened ever night! At first she was scared as hell, but later she felt comfortable with the appearances of these 3 figures every night. Now over 10 years later she still misses them, she even went back to the place where it all happened but she found out the house is gone! About UFO's: I've not seen any ghosts yet but I did see a unexplainable thing in the sky, 3 times already. It's half off a circle with greenish lights, it turns around, becomes blue and is gone.. I was thinking about sattelites, space shuttles, space stations, I don't know really. What really freaked me out is seeing this light belt as I've seen it 3 times already with my own sober eyes in UFO footage on TV. Ever since I took those footages a bit more seriously eventho most of them are fakes.. Cheers. Kevin.
  5. Yeah a Lime one would be monumental The pedals are Light Bley as the original, haven't thought about changing them yet tho. Kevin.
  6. Voted for Café Corner earlier today, it's the set that brought me back into LEGO. I'm amazed by the detail and refreshing building techniques in those sets, I've learned some SNOT work while building the exclusives which really come in handy for my own MOC'ing, thanks! Lookijng through my current personal collection: Café Corner, Green Grocer, Emerald Night and Winter Toy Shop + Fire Brigade that's on the way + Grand Emporium comming soon; I can say I'm a fan of Jamie. I've noticed you visit the forums sometimes, that's unique and fantastic. TLG is deffinatly on huge progress towards adults, thank you!
  7. Wow this is amazing, so detailed! I'm really loving the graphic work, must have been a pain to create yet a challenge is always good :) Are you a Legoland designer? Your work always reminds me to my trip to Danmark past summer.
  8. Search results should all show up in USD, the other used currencies should be converted automatically by using xe.com through BrickLink. Those results are marked with ~ In my case by choosing EURO as base currency, I see everything in EURO. All non EURO currencies are converted and marked the same way. It is very cool! Therefor 25% discount on selected parts, there really are deals to grab! Click to enter store! Click to view a list off all items on sale! Kevin.
  9. 1 gear per axle in the back seems to work because of their oposite moves, I only need bigger gears :) I don't see why my first attempt didn't work like it should, why the belt didn't work makes sense now. Thanks for the help, Kevin.
  10. Thanks, Lime Green or Orange was an option I was thinking about but nearly impossible to complete since so many needed parts are not available in those colors..
  11. Hi all, I've always wanted to create larger scale cars as a kid but I've never had the pieces I needed to do so. Now after almost 10 years Dark Age I'm finaly doing what I wanted to do. It's a wip for over a month now and almost done, I'm very happy with what I have so far. Only 1 thing to do, getting the steering work.. I want the steering wheel functional but I haven't accomplished that goal yet. The axle goes through the engine from the front, in the back I want it to connect the steering wheel in the interior. I've tried with gears and belts, they work but the steering goes in opposite direction! This is were you come in, do you have some advice for me? Thanks! Kevin.
  12. Yes indeed, the sticker holds the 2 tiny slopes together which is 1 of the errors :) Actually it was more like figuring out I needed 2 of those 1x2x2/3 cheese slopes but they are rather hard to find and none of the 5 shops on BrickLink where I was shopping for this project had them. I needed a couple more white normal cheese slopes so I ordered 4 more to stand in for the 2 1x2x2/3's. While building I noticed there was a need for those 2 at the heads.. Well I restarted on an older MOC and I need parts for that so missing or error parts for the white Gallardo, like some more dark red and red parts to complete the interior, are put on that list to shop all at 1 time. Thanks for the input :) I'm with you here, I also don't understand why there aren't 1x2x2/3 cheese slopes in the Emerald Night but there probably is a good explenation for that. Kevin.
  13. Good day all, When this set became available I bought one out of interest, I loved it! After assembling and admiring the spider I had the idea to buy another one to build the coupe. Things got out of hand ever since, I was going to build a coupe but it had to be white! A couple off BrickLink orders later I was able to assemble this dream. Now several weeks after the build I decided to put on the stickers today and shot a couple pics. I also modded a rearwing and frontspoiler underneath the original kit. Only problem was getting this part in white (it doesn't exist so I MOC'ed another solution). Anyway here are the pics, this is how the build turned out and how it looks right now: Thanks to the stores on BrickLink who provided the needed parts, I still need to order a few more to complete some errors I made. Thanks for the interest! Kevin.
  14. Update 15.01.2010: Major update to start the new year! Our prices are now listed in EURO thanks to the new multi currency system on BrickLink. Payments accepted in EURO, USD and GBP, exchange rates by xe.com. All stock is up to date, also 5000+ new parts added! All coupons off previous customers have been deleted due to the currency change, those will be reissued in the next few days! http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Perterz Thanks! Kevin.
  15. BrickLink TOS requires sellers to respond after a period off 3 days anyway, by email or invoice. It all depends on several factors! Is the store a bussiness or hobbyist? Is the order big? What does the sellers splash page informs about respond time? Does the seller picks and packs the order first to weigh it in advance to get the most accurate shipping before invoicing? Does the seller invoices and requires payment first before he/she will start processing the order? What are the timezones you and the seller are in? How frequently is the seller online? etc You'll get respond, no doubt about that. 99% off transactions with feedback on BrickLink is positive aswell ;) Kevin.
  16. Yes actually a new post for every update feels a bit meh to myself aswell but it's the only way to get the update visible to readers. Thanks, distance ain't a problem, the shipping probably is the problem. I'm looking for/working on cheaper shipping and/or working out a shipping discount offer. New updates to start 2010 with: - Payment accepted in GBP via PayPal.com - Several items on 25% clearance sale - Several lots on 50% if you buy the whole lot There should be lots deals to grab, more inventory is on its way aswell. I'm growing to be a specialised shop by the end of the year. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Perterz Best wishes for 2010! Kevin.
  17. Update 27-12-2009: December Sales 10-75% discount! After a very good 5 weeks, my sales have entered their 6th and last one! More lots on sale, more discounts up to 75% off original price! 18. Update 19.12.2009: December Sales are still running with 25-50% discount on several items. Also during December and January new stock is uploaded almost daily. http://www.bricklink.com/storeDetail.asp?b...88&saleID=y
  19. At first I had no intrest in Prince Of Persia at all but by looking at the few images available, I can tell it's gonna hurt my wallet. The colors, figs and especially the animals look superb! I'm leaving Atlantis and Toy Story for what they are and I'll be going for Prince Of Persia! April 2010?! Damn, that explains the few images available BUT I've more time to collect the needed money..
  20. I was waiting to purchase the set because I wanted the Fire Brigade first but eventually they've switched places. Still haven't ordered any FB but Winter Toy Shop is travelling my direction. As soon as I heard they got sold out practically everywhere I found an auction on BrickLink, placed a bit but 10min later it was gone, by buy out! Luckely for me there came another online the day after, guess what I passed the bidding and bought it! I payed a little more for it but I'm glad I have it (well almost, it needs to arrive next week..) I'm so looking forward to build it, but I won't since it's a present for my girl who absolutely loves this set and she has no clue it is on its way. I'm planning to make a small diorama for it to display during the holidays, pictures when done!
  21. Update 04-12-2009: December Sales 10-50%discount! 10% on used sets 20% on new parts 50% on used parts Click here to go to my store Thanks for looking & orders! Kevin.
  22. 4 used sets Orient Expedition on auction, used parts 50% off! http://www.bricklink.com/auctionItem.asp?ID=15135980
  23. I loved the colors the most! Second place would be interesting parts, especially the barrels for unknown reason + the functions every set had were so damn clever and fun to play with! My childhood was all about Western and Pirates/Islanders.
  24. Used parts still 25% off original price :)
  25. I don't collect much, only Modular Houses (+ Market Street) and certain minifigs just because I like them :) 2 other sets slipped in my collection to stay: Medieval Market Village and the Gallardo You sure have a very nice minifig collection, I like the Fantasy Era and Batman collection the most, impressive!
