  1. I can sense ... a competition coming up ... with Lego Star Wars Brickmaster as price ... only the winner has to wait months before the price will be available. Anyway to get back on topic I suspect a couple of minifigures and instructions & bricks to build a number of minis will make sense.
  2. CommanderFox The Kmarts I rang around don't seem to have the RAS but there's this one on TM ==>RAS. I think Kmart had the RAS for a lower price but with 2010 fast approaching (40+ days to xmas ppl) I suspect these will be out of stock soon so you might have to grab it while you can. I made the same mistake with the Republic Attack Gunship last year thinking I pick it up early 2009 after I saved up a bit but that got sold out quick and no one restocked!! Ended up having to pay shipping from Shop@Home. But I'm not sure how much I trust the Kmart inventory system bcos I was told that the Botany branch don't have sold out of Endor but when I went over I found one ... YES!
  3. Very nice MOC. I like the mix of Asian into the MOC ... that is very Steam Punk. The smoke effect on the boat is good too.
  4. Very very nice. This is probably the best walker I seen yet. I like the patch together look ... very steam punk. Thanks for sharing.
  5. CommanderFox you had the AT-OT for a while too and its still 50% off RRP. Endor at $120 is a good deal. I better call around the Auckland Kmart and see who got some. I hope I don't have to go too far. It sounds like the larger 2009 Lego Star Wars set are causing Kmart some serious indigestion. I hope it won't scare them off in 2010 from bringing in the big sets for their Toy Sale. I'm just hoping it is not a case of short term joy for us only to get some long term pains as retailers react to the bath they are taking now.
  6. 20% off Lego at Kmart starting Thursday.
  7. My vote goes to Commander Flash's Commander Flash.
  8. Nice MOC CommanderFox. Looks sleek and I like the weapons mounted at the end of the wingtip. Very ARC-170. To me its like some kind of cross between a V Wing and ARC-170. I can't say I seen all the small starfighters in Star Wars but most of the one I seen seem to need an Astromech to assist with navigation and weapon control.
  9. Good effort but to me it looks too blocky. I'll prefer something sleeker but its a big universe out there so this definitely a possible design for some alien race but I can't quite see the Republic use a design like this. Doesn't fit in with any Republic starfighter we seen so far.
  10. Nice MOCs. I quite like the MOCs to the Gunship ... gives meaning to the term "armed to the teeth". Seppies often outnumber the Republic greatly so the Gunship can do with as much help as it can get.
  11. Signed. The timing for this is good for me because I recently looked into the Western theme and picked up an Indian Chief set second hand. Its great so I'll like to see a return of the Western theme.
  12. Nice review. My set is on its way. Now I just have to decide whether to open it up as soon as it arrives or open it the proper advent calendar way.
  13. Awesome MOC. Reminds me so much of one of those Battletech miniature that I love to stare at at my local hobby shop. The bullet holes in the wall and the smoke/contrail effect of that launching missle is really good. Those rocket droids are like flies annoying a Rhino or something. Zero damage caused but a pain in the backside that needs to be squashed. Only queston is do you think the legs look a little small to support so much weight and power?
  14. Wow. These are amazing custom minifigs really well done. Will you be making a Professor X?
  15. I took can't see the return of Adventurer with Indy and Prince of Persia because TLG won't want too many similar product lines canibalising on each other's sales. Personally I'll like to see a return because TLG will have more creative license to come up with interesting sets whereas with Indy and Prince of Persia they are limited by license agreement and all that. I think I'll go look for the Atlantis thread and post comments on these Atlantis sets there. First I seen of these photos and they look like fantastic sets.
  16. Nice review. You got some very nice angles to your photos that show the built set off quite well. This looks like a tidy little set and I'm kicking myself for not picking it up from Kmart when I had the chance. I find the cockpit canopy a little strange ... its the only part of the ship that don't look very sleek to me.
  17. Great MOC. Welcome to EB and I must say you have made your first post a very very high quality one. So much detail. I really like your MOC and to response to your comments at the start ... I definitely had pleasure looking at your MOC.
  18. With Str Wars excluded, I voted for Indy because there's some really nice minifigures/sets and of the remaining licensed theme I enjoyed the Indy movies more than Batman, HP etc etc.
  19. Very nice vineyard. I like the roof and the little scene created. That guy relaxing on the hill is great.
  20. Star Wars for me but it will be interesting to know the popularity of the different licensed theme and which is the most popular licensed theme. To be fair it might be best to limit it to themes that been released since any views we have on the new themes won't be based on personal experience with building them and playing with them. To my mind, it won't be comparing apples with apples?
  21. Got myself 4 of these today: This torso reminds me of the torso from Macross. Not sure what I'm going to do with it for now but I suspect a custom squad of elite stormtroopers or clone troopers.
  22. Very nice. I like all the bits and pieces tagged on but the best will have to be the bike. I'm just wondering whether the windows round the side and back need extra protection. Seem a bit "naked" for an APOC MOC.
  23. Thanks for the photos. The camels and ostrichs look fantastic. Much better than I imagined. Now I can't wait to get my hands on them.
  24. 3 out of 12 for me. Governor's daughter, Tan and brown maid and Market woman. Thanks for this thread. Wouldn't have realised there's only 12 variations at this point in time.
  25. This is a beautiful set. I'm not really into pirates set but this is a must buy for me. It will go very very nicely with the only other pirate set I have ... Blackbeard's bounty. 2010 is going to be another very very difficult year for my credit card.
