Anyone know whether Toyworld will be doing a 20% off sale for Waitangi weekend? The Toyworlds in Auckland usually have sale on over public holiday weekends.

We are starting to get off topic but I didn't realise that you need to be 18 to be a shareholder. I'm pretty sure some of my mates (in our younger days) had grandparent who bought them tiny share parcels in companies. Anyway, to get back on topic, Farmers' 20% off Toys sale is still going but I didn't find any Luke Landspeeders in the Farmers at Pakuranga and Botany. If anyone seen it at a Farmers within Auckland lately then let me know because I need that Stormtrooper!!

The warehouse is a listed company so maybe he is a shareholder? Anyway I decided I'll get it but will have to wait until the weekend before I can get out to a warehouse. Let's hope there's plenty out there.

Beautiful MOC. Thanks for sharing. I haven't kept up with fighter jets for a long long time now but the Tomcat is my favourite. You done a fantastic job ... wish I have the bricks to build one for my study. I think I'll go wikipedia the Tomcat. Didn't even know its not in service anymore.

And I hope you are also paying your tax. The IRD caught up with a relative of mine who was selling on TM and boy it was a hassle and expenisve to resolve. Selling stuff for under $20 must be ok for some because there's plenty of people doing that and I'll like people to sell stuff for under $20 to allow me to get some small pieces or minifigures.

I found the Tie Defender at Toyworld Sylvia Park. Its $110 ... the box is big but it sounds quite empty inside so I suspect we're paying for a fair bit of Billund air. Its one set I really want but I can wait for the price to come down. I suspect/hope it being an EU set that it may not be as popular and will be discounted heavily at some stage.

Great review and I like your sense of humour. After reading your review I'm sure I will be getting more Billund air as soon as this is available on sale. I don't like the wheels because my experience with other things been bad where they added wheels to simulate hover. Its worse when the wheels are able to turn. I might leave the wheels out and use some transparent pieces to simulate the hover effect.

I think Farmers is doing a 10% off sale this weekend. I better go check out my local Farmers to see whether I can pickup Luke's Landspeeder. Thanks for the headsup Roncanator.

Where did you get Luke's landspeeder? I got the BPs today. I really like the White speeder bike ... actually prefer the white colour scheme to the Endor brown.

Thanks for the good review and I like the little dialogue you got there. Definitely going to get this set for the minifigs. Nothing special about the speeder. Can't wait for it to hit the shops in NZ.

Kmart NZ may bypass Lego NZ by importing directly from Aust. I suspect Kmart Aust has much more buying power & can get them cheap from Lego Aust & then ship to NZ. That might explain why Kmart NZ price differently from Farmers, WHS, TW etc. Just my theory.

You been lucky. I had a Cafe Corner set that was badly crushed when it got to me. Lego was really good in sending me a replacement but I had to send the crushed set back to them but luckily there's a NZ address to send it to. I'm just thinking if I use a service like ShipTo and had the same issue then I might get a US address to send the crushed set to because Lego will see me as a US customer? The product return form that comes with the set probably will have a US address to send stuff back.

Will there be problems with Lego if there's something wrong with the set and you need to deal with Lego to get replacements/refunds etc? By using ShipTo, does it mean that Lego will be expecting a US customers and providing you with a US address to send the set back to base?

Just got back from my local Kmart and saw plenty of Rebel BP for $22. The Imperial BP is $22 too but didn't see any on the shelf but I did see the pricing label. The Army Men Toy Story set is $22 and Buzz Lightyear is $45. Can't wait for the sale to pick up a couple of BPs ... I hope they will have the Imperial BP on the shelf at the sale.

Me neither. I was going to get both the Advent Calendar and Peril in Peru ... now there's only the City Calendar left ... that probably will be gone overnight too at this rate. I learnt my lesson this time.

You are right about selling fast. Got up this morning and found that Peril in Peru is gone!!! That's crazy!!

ColdBricks I'm keen. Just had a look at what's on sale ... not much Star Wars stuff other than the V-19 and keyrings butI'll like to get the Peril in Peru set since I missed out on it. The advent calendars should be good too. I'm not sure why stuff that's sold out is being listed. I have a question on how the shipping is shared. Is it evenly per buyer, by value or by item purchased? I don't know how you do it but free shipping within NZ is really good for an Aucklander like me. I'll have a better look at what else is on sale (there's more than 100 items) and will PM you a list.

Never say never. Like you said earlier there may be an importer or retailer that ended up with a large quantity of an unpopular Lego line (midi scale Falcon? Some racer?) that they want to flick off quick and that site is one way to do it.

CommanderFox not sure if Toyworld Onehunga is too far for you but they are doing 30% off toys and there's about 5 Echo Base there this morning when I was there. Whoops! Please ignore my comment above. My wife just told me that the sale was today only. Sorry.

Nice review of a nice set. I like these Creator house. The back of the house looks weird. Needs a window or two.
