Good effort but can't help thinking there's a big smiley face on the torso. Maybe you can try adding some vertical curvy lines to the torso to simulate hair? I wonder if a Chewbacca head will work better? I'm on the waiting list at my local library for Unseen Academicals. Let's hope I get it just before xmas and then I can read it over xmas. That will be fantastic.

Thanks for the headups on the Emerald Night and the promo minifigures. I'm going to check out my local Toyworld for the Emerald Night. I think the $190 for Home One is WHS' normal price because that's the price when I bought mine earlier in the year and with 20% off I ended up only paying $150 odd. That's pretty good. I saw a number of the Imperial Dropship BP and heaps of AT-AP at the WHS at Botany (in Auckland) last weekend. Always cool to see older sets reappearing on the shelves at RRP.

Very nice MOC. Great idea. I do agree that Han and that Snowtrooper in front of him may need their position changed slightly. Han looks far too "gay". Han better keep this photo away from Princess Leia.

The Sylvia Park Warehouse has about 20 AT-AP selling for $80 each and the Toyworld at Sylvia Park has the Agent Aerial Defence Unit 8971 at 50% off for $75. Shame I'm not into Agent or else that set is at a pretty good price.

Fantastic review. Thank you very much. The only pirate set I got is Blackbeard's Bounty. This will go very nicely with it and I'm definitely going to get this. The "mixup" with the dress was very interesting to read about.

Cad Bane and GG in the same set won't surprise me. We seen it before that logic is a not a big requirement in deciding minifigs complement for a set. Just look at Obi-wan's Jedi Starfighter with the Hyperdrive Ring. Not sure about the logic of KF being in that set. I'll just be glad to get a Cad Bane. Which set he comes in isn't that important to me.

I hope you win Lotto and get to realise your dream then. The Kmart flyer I got yesterday has a Buy 1 Toy and get 60% off a Second starting tomorrow (Thurs)!! Shame that when I was at my local Kmart in the weekends the Lego shelves look really bare. Nothing I'm interested in on the shelves but I'll go have a look in the weekend again just in case they restock the shelves.

Thanks for an excellent review. This is a good looking set and I plan to get it. I wasn't a big fan of the Aquaraider series but this Atlantis one is capturing my imagination much better.

This is amazing. I like the use of parts from IJ ... gives it the right atmosphere/era. That Indian fella with the Turban is a great minifigure. I suspect Lego's version will be finalised but if not they should just buy your concept off you and run with it. I'll love to have this Department Store in my modular street.

Great news. I'm really looking forward to photos. I think I'll park my purchase of the Fire Brigade for now. I like the idea of an Emporium more than the Fire Brigade so I might give this a priority for my 2010 lego budget. Thanks for sharing this news.

I also picked up the Pirates & Space Police 3 impulse sets from Whitcoulls. I also added a couple of BPs to make it a $50 purchase to get that a $10 voucher so tomorrow I'm popping in to use the $10 voucher to get my very first Power Miner set for $3 (a $13 set really but with the $10 voucher it'll be $3). I spotted Squidman's Pitshop at the WHS for $76. Tempted to get it with the 20% off Lego but don't have the $$$ for it. I'm supposed to be saving for the Winter Toy Shop and the Fire Brigade but I keep seeing these lower value sets that I want. CommanderFox I think your only chance will be if Kmart lowers the price on the RAS like what they did to Endor & the AT-OT. Otherwise I you'll struggle to find a MISB RAS for $80.

Nice review. In my book it is a shame that Exo-force is no more. I preferred the earlier sets (like this one) to some of the latter ones. Don't know why but I just prefer the looks of the earlier sets.
