The catalogue for Kmart's Toy Sale is up on the Kmart webiste. Tantive IV for $259! Maybe its just me but this year's selection and discounts seem weak compared to last year.

Thanks for the pics whung. Like many other members, I think the Shuttle looks pretty good and will be on my want list. Not so sure about the AT-AT. The SD is probably a "no thanks" for me although if it ends up like the Falcon (ie sitting on the shelves for ages and then get discounted heavily) then I might pick one up. There's always a price point where a Lego set is a buy irrespective of how bad the set is.

Nice review. I think I'll pick this up when it comes to NZ. Not so sure about that cone/nose piece in front of the ship tho. Might just leave it out in my build.

The Manukau branch of Toyworld has the Lego Truck, all the new TS3, Pop, Fire Station, Grand Emporium and Imperial Flagship along with the minifigures for $5.99 each.
-
Totally understand about not paying full price. I avoided paying full price for any Lego set so far (other than discountinued stuff that I didn't have the $$$ for at the time). I think each Toyworld store operates differently so you might find yours will include the Flagship & Emprorium in the sale. The rules seem to change from sale to sale. I remember a mate got the Green Grocer a couple of years back on 20% at Toyworld.

Let's hope the sale will exclude too many items (like the Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium if available). Last time I was looking to get the MMV and Emerald Nights but those 2 were specifically excluded from the sale.

Thanks for the pics and review. I'm going to get this set. The Wampa is better than I expected and Luke is great. Not sure about the snowspeeder. In a way its annoying that there's so many version out there. Looks weird when you park them together but I'm sure we can explain that away.

That special announcement from Lego turned out to be a bit of a non-event for me. Free delivery on orders over $110 and a free Lego Star Wars sticker sheet. Hopefully someone will get some mileage out of that.
-
Thanks CommanderFox for that. I'm going to get the ARC-170. Glad I didn't picked it up from the Warehouse a whilte back when it was $110 or something like that.

Very nice MOC. Very accurate and nicely done. I like the Reminded me of the Tamiya model I had years ago.

Prince of Persia sets up on Shop@Home now. Finally we get some indication of prices for us kiwi. Looks pretty standard to me for a licensed set. There's a few new pieces that I'm keen on but there's nothing there at these kind of prices to make me want to get them at RRP. I'm hoping these sets will go the Indiana Jones way ... discounted heavily later in the year.

Great MOC. Very clever and innovative. Reminds me of Akira too.

20% off Lego at Warehouse over Easter. Here's your chance for the Swamp Speeder CommanderFox.
-
I got a flyer from Toyworld with 50% off the Pirate Set Solder's Fort ... $49.99. I need to have a closer look at the set to see if the parts are worth $49.99 since I'm not into the Pirates theme.

Nice review of a nice set. I agree with your blind loyalty comment. The brand is not as important as substance in my book. If only I can find some in NZ. I'll be happy to get some. I'm a big fan of Three Kingdom/Dynasty Warrior ... not of WeiYan but I'm sure all the other more popular characters will be available.
-
Doubt it. With these things the second set usually have to be of the same value or cheaper but I might be wrong.
-
You can't get the Swamp Speeder at Farmers because it is exclusive to WHS. Personally I'll wait since 20% off a second set isn't that great. You're only getting 10% off even if you buy 2 sets of the same value. Easter is just around the corner. WHS might do a better sale then.

Good review. Very easy to read and follow. This is a nice set. Can't wait for it to appear on the shelves in NZ.

Got my Lego Club magazine today. Says that the City Helicopter & Limo set is exclusive to Farmers and will be in store March. What's more interesting is that for the school holidays (2 - 18 Apr) the first 15 customers each day to Kelly Tarlton who presents the voucher found in the Lego Club magazine will receive an Atlantis gift bag with an exclusive Atlantis Mini Sub, Poster and a Key Chain. Better check out what the admissions to Kelly Tarlton is these days and see if those freebies will be worth it ... probably need to go as soon as they open in the morning too.

Very clever and nice MOC. I like it. Reminds me of the Borgs off Star Trek and also something that you see at your local Warhammer shop.
-
Looks like Atlantis sets will be at Kmart too. Flyer says: Wreck Raider for $12 Monster Crab Crash for $10 Seabed Scavenger for $22 Typhoon Turbo Sub for $32

I'm mainly into Star Wars and with that theme I aim to get every set but I do tend to hold out for sales/clearance. In NZ we seem to get a 20% off sale once a month but mind you our prices are a bit higher than many other places in the world to start with.

Great MOC. I like the contrast with the City Corner. You can see the similarities but also the differences. Very nice.
-
Nice MOC. I like it. Looks sleek. Have you got photos of the rear?

This is one great MOC. Love it. Very clever of you to find a Ninja equivalent to everything including the ninja glider/helicopter!! Thanks for sharing.
