  1. This is soooooo cool. Can't even tell its built with Lego bricks until the photo with the paddle wheel. The hull looks really good. Well executed. Like Mr Lupin said ... it is lacking in the punk department.
  2. This is a bit annoying. The Republic Attack Gunship is now available on Shop@Home but the chrome stormtrooper has disappeared off the list completely. Not even an indication of when it will be available!! What's happening? I was hopping to tag a couple of chrome stormtrooper to my order to maximise the postage plus however many chrome stormtrooper others want.
  3. Privateer ... keep those Letter of Marques coming.
  4. Its available at the Warehouse in Downtown Auckland too. Looks like Warehouse definitely got it. Has it been spotted at any other retailers (Kmart, Farmers)? I think if Coldbrick's Toyworld insider is correct then the Pirate Tank may be a Warehouse exclusive. I picked up a box to have a look see. Its the same size as the midi scale Falcon/Sep Shuttle etc but it feels heavier to me than the Falcon or Sep Shuttle.
  5. Well ... there's no set with my member number whether it is backward or forward. Let's hope they release a cool Star Wars set using my member number in the future.
  6. This is very very nice. I like the green colour scheme too and the lighting in the photo.
  7. A second seller with Home One and cheaper too ==> http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=234502406 It must be out at the shops now or very very close if trademe sellers are starting to list them.
  8. Hope its Kmart rather than Warehouse. Warehouse hasn't been the greatest when it comes to sale on Lego.
  9. I don't think there's anything that great about the Home One listing other than she is the only person selling Home One and it is available now. When it hits the shelves generally then you'll be able to pick it up for $200 anyway when Toyworld or Farmers do a 20% off toys. Kmart might go even better. Only thing is I thought I read somewhere that it might be a Warehouse exclusive. Also I don't think there's a big rush because she seem to have multiple of everything she sells so I suspect if you miss this one then she'll have another you can pick up.
  10. I think that's a good price for the ARC-170 ... even at $120 buy now. I almost bought one on trademe a year ago for $120 but someone beat me to it so to find one now still for that price is pretty good. If only I didn't end up getting one on ebay!
  11. Sounds like we kind of established that some of the Endor Rebel helmet fits fine while others don't. For what it is worth, mine fit fine and don't have the "slide up" problem.
  12. This is very very nice. Great details and execution. I know those before me said it but its worth repeating because it is great ... I love the Coke sign. Only question there is whether that particular version matches the gangster era because I thought that particualr design is a bit more recent. I'm no Coke expert. Thanks for sharing this with us.
  13. I wonder if Kiwis are being made to wait for Home One and the Pirate Tank because we got all the other sets so much earlier than anyone else.
  14. Not clear whether you meant there's more adult fans or kids fans but I suspect there's more adult fans. Kid fans grow into adult fans and you are an adult for a lot longer than you're a kid. Unless we are starting to get metaphorical and talking about some adults are still "kids" at heart and things like that.
  15. Very cool MOC. We seem to be getting lots of walker MOCs lately. I'm not complaining because I'm loving it. I'm a big anime fan in addition to being a Lego and Star Wars fan so I'm more than happy to see lots of walkers (some seem to be influenced by anime). Maybe we need a Star Wars walker index or something to keep track of them.
  16. And she also put up the AAT to $70. Well done those who picked up the AAT for $65 and Endor for $160. Seem like there's no good sale or Pirate Tank/Home One sightings in NZ at the moment.
  17. Very very nice ... actually its awesome! I'm going to try to build one for my own army. I think it won't be too much if you pack one or two of the rocket lauchers from the AT-AW to this. It can be an optional weapon pack if you anticipate trouble on the mission.
  18. Its hard to say too much for sure based on a 1 second segment but those Cold Assault Troopers might be in a cave on some cold world fighting some creatures ... for all we know they might be using the flamethrowers to roast their dinner or to dry out a damp cave. As for the lightsaber on the Mando ... it might be something as simple as Obi Wan dropped his lightsaber somewhere at the start of the episode and the Mando guy found it and hang on to it for Obi Wan to somehow meet him/her later in the episode and get it back. The same way Dooku got Anakin's lightsaber and then loose it to the pirates and then only for Anakin to get it back from the pirates later. All speculation but at least it is giving the creative brains cells some exercise.
  19. I was meaning income tax rather than sales tax (whether VAT or GST). Anyway I'm only speculating here based on some other businesses I seen.
  20. I suspect it might have something to do with tax. I think if they ship it from a local warehouse then they may have to pay local tax on the profit. If they ship from Denmark then they pay Denmark tax. You often find that businesses prefer to pay tax in their home country rather than in the other country.
  21. Hahaha. That's funny. Actually if you get some really dark colour water (probably not coffee or coke since that I suspect that will really damage your minifig) and freeze that in a block with Han in it ... we might get the effect we want. That will beat the printed brick that we have to live with currently. Using this technique I think we can create an awesome Wampa Cave scene.
  22. I think to expect no Jar Jar will be asking for too much. Maybe we'll be lucky and he'll appear in just one episode and in a fairly minor role. I am really looking forward to Season 2 after watching the trailer. There's so much stuff there to fuel many waves of Lego Star Wars ... can't wait to find out what we will get.
  23. Very nice and innovative. Do let us know if you find any damage to the Lego. I suspect heat will be a bigger worry than cold? Going slightly off topic but I wonder what the temperature range for Lego pieces are.
  24. Endor gone by time I looked. You got to be quick! Just a quick update for those still interested in the Chrome Stormtroopers. The available date has now been pushed out to 27 August. Don't know why the date keep getting moved back. Production problem? Big demand from other markets?
  25. Very nice. I like the way you built the repeating laser turrets. If you have 20 troopers then I'll like to see them all on board.
