I think he meant Lego Sandtroopers are rare.

Nice MOC. The expression on that guy's face is perfect.

Thanks for the link CommanderFox. I might just order one to get another STAP and some SBD. I got more than enough Battle Droids.

Totally agree with you simonjedi that the TIE Defender will be great and I'll love to see Thrawn and Mara Jade one day. As for whether the ARC-170 will be in the Season 2 and whether the timeline is right for it ... I'm sure if the ARC-170 in Season 2 will help sell Lego, DVDs and merchandise then they will put it in and come up with an explanation later. We are dealing with fantasy/fiction here so anything is possible (just like when I first found out that the evil Darth Vader is Luke's father all those years ago).

Amazing MOCs. Its hard to choose between the Drow and Wood elves but if I must then I think the Drow is marginally better than the Wood elves but there are all great. I need to find out how to do create and apply these custom decals because I'll love to have the Drow in my collection. Only question is aren't Drow's complexion suppose to be shades of grey? Doesn't matter since all fantasy series seem to have their own definition/take on fantasy creatures. Great Work!! Oh! Maybe someon can add a poll to this thread so that we can keep track of which elf got the most vote.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Fumoffu replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
That's a cool cover for the DVD/Blu-Ray. I'm keen to get the DVD. I'm not sure about Blue-Ray. Not really into the video formats much so I'm not sure what it is other than it is suppose to be much better than DVD? I agree about the CW movie. Its really just a double/triple episode. Can't wait for Season 2 to get to NZ which probably won't until 6 months after its US release. -
Great Moc and excellent photography. I didn't really like the original Speeder and now you given me something to do with my Speeders. Thanks for sharing.

Review 7656 General Grievous´ Starfighter
Fumoffu replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good review and I totally agree with you about the lack of s cape. I can live with just Grievious in this set. Its a tidy set ... that is quite valuable now. Destroydacre that MISB set you got will be worth a fair bit more than this set's RRP now. -
For your sake I hope my friend is wrong ... actually for my sake too since I'll prefer it if Kmart and Toyworld will get them since they tend to have sales. Kmart especially since they always price a little below RRP. In the case of Home One, Warehouse price of $190 is $60 less than RRP ... wonder how long it will stay that way. Even if my friend is right ... Auckland is only an hour away. On a diff subject, anyone spotted Space Police anywhere?

Um ... maybe "role" isn't quite the right word then. How about "screentime"?

Welcome VMLN8R to EB. Its good to see the Kiwi contingent growing. Roncanator a friend working at Warehouse reckons the Pirate Tank and Home One are exclusive to the Warehouse so we'll have to wait for a sale there. I don't recall Warehouse having as many Lego sale as Kmart or Toyworld. Might be a long wait for us! CommanderFox it looks like Kmart is putting up the prices on their mispriced sets. Lucky I got my RAS at $85 last time they had a 15% off sale. The Clone Walker and Assassin Droid BP is now $24 instead of $22. Still less than RRP but as good as before. I hope this means that Kmart will start doing 20% off Lego instead of 15%. I'm keen on Cmdr Cody too. There's probably a whole bunch of people out there interested too. May the Force me with you ... I suspect in this case you need the $$$ to be with you rather than the Force.

Its very nice. I like the way you used those red transparent pieces to simulate the blaster bolts. I haven't seen that before.

I think how big a role Bantha had in the movies is not a key factor. The key factor is whether we are willing to pay enough to make it worth Lego's while to release one for us. I'm sure if their market research tells them that Bantha will sell like hotcakes at a very very good price then it will be released. End of the day, Lego is neither a fan club nor a charity. Its a business. Sure you might be a good corporate citizen and all that but making a profit is key.

Guys!! The Chrome Stormtrooper is now available!! ==> http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=472&d=322

I agree that if this set is going to have that many minfigures (especially main characters) then the price will be closer to the Pirate Tank or Sep Shuttle than Echo Base. Can I just check something with people who knows more? The list (even if it is correct) can only represent the first wave of sets, right? I'm sure for the last few years we get more sets than that in a year. So for those of us who didn't get our wishes for future sets then there's still chance (even if a small chance) that we'll get it in the second wave?

Great review. Lots of photos are good because it gives people a better idea of the set than just the box art. I found the built to be fun and quick. I like the fact that there's a few discreet parts to be built so you can build them seperately. While you're working on the next part you can see the part you already built. Kind of add to the fun of the built. I think its a great set. The RRP is a bit high but since I picked it up on sale its great. Thanks for the review and I agree that the Rebel to Imperials ratio seem to be totally opposite to what we saw in the movie.
-
Nice review. This set came out before I seriously got into Lego Star Wars. I think the newer versions of these (Vader's Tie and Tie Fighter) looks better but I'll get it without hesitation had I been into Lego Star Wars back in those days.
-
Thanks for the links. Its a very good read. That clarified it all. Your MOC is now even better. I think its amazing what you managed to achieved. At first glance it doesn't even look like its built with Lego bricks.
-
That's a really really nice tank you built. Yours is the first tank MOC I seen. Now I'm enlightened about the possibilities and have to try something myself. I need to look for some photos of the actual tank but just looking at your MOC it looks to me like the tank may be a little tall?

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Fumoffu replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Its not a defect from a good guy perspective but from Darth Sidious' and his master plan's perspective it is a fundamental defect since null clones may not exectuve Order 66 the way Cody did. -
Wow! This is a cool MOC. Its so busy with so much to look at. I don't think the photos fully allow us to appreciate this MOC. Seeing it live will be best but we'll have to put up with photos for now. You have a great imagination to arrange all the little scenes/stories within the larger MOC scene.

Thanks for the great review. Bought back fond childhood lego memories for me too. Also made me regret not keeping better care of my lego in my younger days because I lost so many sets/pieces from those days.
-
WOW! What else can you say? This is just amazing. The rigging and sails are very well done. I second the calls for this to go on the frontpage ASAP. Must have taken you a long long time and a lot of focus but looking the end product it must be very satisfying for you. Thanks for sharing this ... and again WOW!!

Welcome to EB Callum. I'm going to get the Republic Attack Gunship from Shop@Home at some stage but I want to tag an order for the Chrome Stormtrooper. You're welcomed to tag an order onto mine so that we can share the shipping cost. I'm just waiting for the Chrome Stormtrooper to become available. As for the forum, you should check out huck to flat's forum to make sure there's no double up. For my $0.02 worth, I think EB works pretty well so we probably don't need more forum but a fan site that has other content may be useful. Depends on what its about and the users really.

The amazing time traveling flying shed
Fumoffu replied to ProducePrincess's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like it. I can just imagine something like that in the air in a Final Fantasy movie. A house that our hero lives in or maybe where the ecentric wise old Sage lives. Maybe you should try to aim for another hangover soon and we'll see more strange but wonderful creation out of you . Well done?
