Its a nice scene. The colours on the lava is fantastic. I do feel that the lava can be made to look better if the surface isn't as smooth. Some bumps in the lava will make this perfect.

I'm planning to buy Endor in the weekend from Kmart but if I can get it $8 cheaper at the Warehouse with the voucher then that's fantastic! I assume it is ok to forward that email around? You probably find that Lego has some complex spreadsheet or costing system that tells them how much it brick will cost them to make and when they added them up for these two sets ... the prices just came out this way. Maybe it is something as simple as propellers costing more than a new hairpiece. Not trying to defend Lego in anyway but just trying to poke at the mystery a little to see if there's a logic hidden deep in there somewhere.

Went to the Kmart at Botany this morning. There's about 10 AT-OT on the shelves but no Death Star. When I asked they told me that the DS is locked up in the back and that if I want one then they'll go get it. Its an expensive set and they don't want it on the shelves anymore. Apparently there's been one set that someone broke into. They will have to discount it to sell. Hopefully I get to have a look at the discounted set. Depending on the discount and what's missing ... it may be a good deal. I saw someone buying one. Didn't get to see the set itself because its packed up in a brown Lego carton. Someone will be playing with their Death Star soon. I picked up a Republic Attack Shuttle too. $85 is difficult to resist. I'll definitely get Endor this weekend and probably the AT-OT before the sale ends. Still thinking hard on the Death Star. Like others ... will have to layby if I want it. Anyone knows Kmart's layby terms?

I played all three Fallouts and really like the setting. I definitely preferred the first two over 3. I think for me I just prefer the style of gameplay in the first two. I'm not saying 3 is bad but I just find it average compared to the first two. I definitely had more fun playing the first two. But this thread so far demonstrates that everyone has their preferences and you can most probably find people who will argue both sides of the argument for any one game. That's the interesting part. FYI ... I played on the PC.

This is very well done. I love it. You created in Lego form one of my favourite ships from Star Wars. I agree with your comments about not using white pieces. The weathered look is much much better.

Anyone know whether the Death Star and AT-OT will be like the Falcon like year? Only a very limited numbers at each store? Has Kmart given up on 20% off Lego this year? Anyway for sets selling at RRP, there's always the Toyworld 20% off sale. Also, Lego online is giving away a golden minifigure with purchases of $150 or more in July.

There seem to be more and more exclusive sets these days. Meant we have to go around a bit before we can get all the sets we want. Warehouse don't discount their Lego all that much so it might be a bit of a wait before Home One will be discounted if it really is exclusive to Warehouse. We can only hope that there will be a special when they release it initially. The Sales and Deals section of the Lego website has some new items on sale if you're interested in Bionicles, Duplos or last year's Indiana Jones.

Very nice and well done. Light grey will look more like what you see in the movie but there's nothing wrong with a different colour. You can build a story around why its a different colour. If my memory serves me right then there's a Star Destroyer that got painted red in the expanded universe Star Wars novel series.

From looking at the Aust version of the Kmart toy sale flyer ... if we get the same (and we been getting the same so far) then its 20% off Lego. I think Kmart won't want to have the sale and no stock on the shelves. That will be a very bad look so it won't surprise me if they are holding their stock back for the sale. Actually, Kmart being Aust probably has a 30 June year end so they must be going thru stock take and all that so that might be why they don't stock the shelves.

From what I've seen I think Farmers been the best when it comes to the second wave of Lego. They're pretty much got the second wave of Star Wars set first and I still haven't still any retailers other than Farmers with the new Indiana Jones set. Plus that 30% sale they had a while back meant I picked up a number of sets at some very sharp prices. Kmart was pretty good but seem to have fallen off the pace. Most of the Kmarts I been to had fairly empty shelves in the Lego dept. Maybe they are saving it all up for their mid year toy sale?

That's pretty cool. Wonder how soon it will be. Is it exclusive to Warehouse? I saw the Midi Scale Falcon today but found the $69 price a bit steep. I like the set but just found the price too high. I'll just have to wait for it to go on sale.

Thanks for the review. Always good to see some photos apart from the box because you get a better idea of what the set looks like. I like the set and hope there'll be more midi scale sets in the future. Its very swooshable is what I like about it (imagine trying to swoosh the UCS Falcon ... arhhh my back!!). The lack of a minifigure is ok with me because you just have to price it accordingly and that's where I feel that Lego got it wrong. This set is far too expensive but that's been a moan about Lego Star Wars for a long long time but I feel that this set may be setting a new benchmark.
