I'm pretty sure I got permission to buy a Republic Assault Gunship on S@H and was going to get a chrome stormie too but it says the chrome stormie won't be available until 21 August and you can't actually order one which suits me because the Gunship is on backorder and will not ship until 18 August. If you're keen then I can include you in my order ... maybe contribute $2 to the overall postage or something? Its a shame its not available now because I'll get a gold minifigure if I can get it in July!!

Too late CommanderFox, someone got it. You know its a bargain when it disappears so quickly. Anyway I just want to report that I just got back from Toyworld and no Pirate Tank. Went today instead because I can't tomorrow. I picked up a Dooku's Solar Sailor for $96. Bit pricey but its the last one in store and I want Dooku and a Magnaguard droid.

huck to flat There's another AAT for $65. Have you talked your parent round to getting it for you? Those guys who picked up the AT-OT for $250 will be feeling even better now. Well Done CommanderFox. I don't tend to get non-Star Wars stuff but Blackbeard's Bounty is looking pretty good.

Just got back Whitcoulls. It is 25% off toys and games but its only till this Sun (19th). The shelves look really bare. Everyone must have got there before me.
-
Noooooooo ... I hope its not because they got the price wrong and is going to change it!!

Its great and I like it. I need to get myself a Rincewind and Archchancellor Ridcully too. Thanks for bringing to life in Lego form so much of Discworld. Like Star Wars Lego this is combining two of my favourite things.

I suppose its their business so they can do what they want but that's not the way to get loyal happy customers. I haven't seen it myself but I just got told that Whitcoulls has 25% off toys and games for the month of July. Anyone able to confirm that? I might need to go check out the Whitcoulls at Botany then because they usually have a good selection of Lego (compared to other Whitcoulls). I used to have a loyalty card where you get 1 point for each $1 you spend and when you get 100 points they give you a $5 off voucher. Better dig that out too.

Looks like there's still good deals to be had on trademe. Good luck Ravi with the Tank Droid. Its a tidy little set. Toyworld sale ending this weekend and no Pirate Tank yet!! I'm going to try to get to a Toyworld Sunday afternoon and hope I'm lucky.

Very nicely done. I like the weapon rack, especially the weapons cabinet. I must say there's a bit of a disjoint between the serene scene outside the house and such a large weapons collection intside. Makes me think a paranoia hermit running away from a violent past lives in it.

My situation isn't exactly the same as yours but it might help. I bought a set and it came with an incorrect part. TLG sent me the correct part for free when I told them about it. At least I think its free. I did get a letter that had a price for the part but there's no demand for payment or invoice or anything.

We're speculating here and there's probably a pefectly valid reason for why she has so much Lego to sell and is willing to accept such big discounts on RRP. We probably shouldn't speculate much further since its not really our business and we may be damaging her reputation unfairly. Just hate to think that there's people speculating about something I'm doing on a forum somewhere without me knowing it. Anyway, to head back more onto topic I think it will really hurt if you buy Home One and the Pirate Tank from S@H only to find them in the shops not long after. They will get to NZ so its just a matter of finding other things to keep yourself amused while you wait.

Didn't see this threat when it first came out but there's some awesome creations in there. That Venator hangar ... drool. Love to have one at my place but the best photo for me will be the snowboarding chrome stormtrooper. A very nice touch and sense of humour.

Its a while now since I read the ROTS novel but the novel has a lot more insights into why Anakin wasn't granted the rank of Master. My fuzzy memory seem to recall its more to do with the fact that the Jedi Council itself don't fully trust Anakin because of his close relationship with Palpatine. He was appointed to the Council as a rep for Palpatine not as a Jedi Master hence he didn't get given the title. The novel also paint a slightly different picture of Anakin. The main reason he is desperate to be a Master is so that he can access some Jedi archives to try find a way to save Padme.

Yeah ... those S@H shipping costs are real killers. The only way it can be worthwhile is if you buy a whole lot and spread the shipping costs like I did a while back when I combine with some mates for one big order. Everyone ended up paying about 10% of what they bought for shipping I think.

Today is the last day but from what I heard about how much stock is still sitting around then I won't surprise if you can pick up the DS and AT-OT cheap later unless they pull the stock to fill the layby orders. Harmacy I thought with the layby you can't pickup until Dec?

Sorry huck to flat. My bad.

Very nice moc and I'll like to say that I'll buy it too if its an actual set. I just wonder whether the tank itself should be just a bit taller?

Thanks guys for clearing up my confusion on NXT. Can't say I know too much about it and robotics. I went to Kmart at Botany yesterday and found that they are all out of the AT-OT so I wasn't able to check whether my friend was right about it being $299. Plenty of Star Wars, IJ and City sets around. The Crawler Crane been reduced to $85 and I'm tempted to get one. Nice Cloud City battle scene Roncanator.
-
Pardon my ignorance but which set is NXT? For what its worth, the brother story can stack up if the brother owns a toyshop or sth like that. Maybe the brother is one of the regular trademe seller?

Congratulation on the citizenship. Very nice and funny vig. I like Vader holding the coffee mug best ... he almost looks casual in so far as Vader can look casual.

Noticed that I'm on 99 posts so I might as well make the 100th post in the same thread as my 1st. Anyway I just noticed that the ATST is on special at Lego Shop@Home. Down to $130 from $180. Wonder if that means the set will start to be discounted in the shops too? So far I seen it at Toyworld and Warehouse.
-
Thanks CommanderFox for the update. Sounds like its all legit then and that she will be listing more sets. Better keep an eye out for them. Let's hope she has another AAT for those who missed out. Its sad to hear her brother died but he sure has one massive Lego collection. I heard from a friend (who isn't a Lego or Star Wars fan) that the AT-OT may be down to $299 at Kmart as of yesterday at least. Anyone able to confirm? Also, anyone spotted the Pirate Tank yet?

Thank you for this index. Being new to this forum I missed pretty much all of these MOC. Its great to have this index so I can now catch up on MOCs based on one of my favourite novel series. Thanks heaps!!

I can't comment on the US or Bricklink but in New Zealand what you are planning to do will work. The NZ equivalent to ebay is Trademe and there's people selling MISB sets there all the time and you can usually find older sets going for more than their RRP. I saw someone pay NZ$70+ for the Sep Spider Droid set when that set retails for NZ$50 when it was available in the shops ... and it only got sold out in the shops since Christmas. Anyway I'll like to thank you for your post otherwise I wouldn't know about Nannan's article. Its a very good read. Cheers.

Very nice mecha. I like it. Shame that Lego discontinued Exoforce as mechas are one of my favourite theme.
