  1. These are amazings ... especially when you see that they can go into all three modes!!! Wow! Do you have plans for more Macross/Robotech MOCs?
  2. Nice MOC. Might need to move the driver back a stud because he looks really uncomfortable leaning back that way. Photo looks ok. Did you edit out the rest of the background? You can try taking the photo under more natural light during the day or something ... that might get rid of the orange tint.
  3. Very very nice. I love your Igor and Nobby minigures. I think I'll read the City Watch series again as soon as I finish my current book.
  4. Very Nice. Looks like something that will fit in perfectly into Mad Max. Personally I'll probably try a brown colour scheme that will fit with the sand theme better. The green might make it stand out and an easier target?
  5. Must be a very very slow day. Its not public yet.
  6. I'm really looking forward to the reopening of the gallery. Just that one updated photo is hinting at the potential of how some photographic techniques can add to the MOC.
  7. Definitely don't have the same "knock them off their seat" wow factor as Moria but its still a good MOC. I like the way you create the ruin look and feel. Maybe a photo with less light might add to the atmosphere of the set. "I built most of it using pieces from my Moria MOC." ... NooooOOooooooo ...
  8. Check out this aution for a partial Endor ==> Link I wonder how it ended up this way.
  9. Very nice MOC Lars. More photos in due course will be great. Reminds me of the ship out of Dune for some reason. Nice MOC too fenris. Now we have a landing craft that can carry a meaningful squad of Stormtroopers.
  10. Nice review. I find this to be a nice set with an good build. Just a bit pricey. The nose section is probably also a bit short compared to the real thing but those photos you took front on looks great because it made the nose looks longer than it really is.
  11. Anyone knows whether this is just Toyworld Cranford or its all Toyworld? Maybe I should find some time to go check my local Toyworld out. That's plenty for Cmdr Cody. He's rare but I'm not sure whether he is worth that much ... especially a second hand one.
  12. This is a very good MOC. And my appreciation for it just increased after reading your update giving us some history/background of the basis for the MOC. I really like the way you created the cracks in the war. Very clever and the effect is fantastic.
  13. You might be right with PT but there's materials from CW that can be the basis of bankable sets for TLC and with Season 2 coming out the scope for bankable sets must be increasing. Its just funny how out of all the main characters Padme featured so little in Lego sets.
  14. Thanks for the good review. Seeing this sure brings back memory. Sadly I lost my set when we moved to New Zealand. Its good to see the photos of the new and old sets. It will be nice if Lego will do an update of this classic.
  15. The auction is for $60 and postage within the North Island is $7.50 so the $67.50 is the final price. Definitely cheaper than the Red Shed. In your case Roncanator you can get it for $60 because that trader will deliver for free within Hamilton. AoNZ I won't bother bidding more than $60. I had that auction on my watchlist for a while now and I always get an offer for $60 so I think the trader has a large number and will offer it at $60 to any watchers.
  16. I'm keen to hear other's solutions to this problem because its mine too. I pretty much keep most of my sets unbuilt and just keep 2 to 3 built on display. I tend cycle them around so once a month I might built a set that I haven't built for a while and put it on display and retire an existing set back into its box (yes I keep the boxes too and that causes another set of problem).
  17. Its $76 at the Warehouse. If they do a 20% off toys then it'll be $61. That's what I'm hoping for but the red shed don't seem to discount Lego much. Can only hope. Are you looking at the auction on trademe?
  18. Here's a link to a thread about potential sets if Lego was ever to get the LOTR license. Link There should be plenty of ideas there for another LoTR MOC. I'm looking forward to what you come up with. If this MOC is anything to go by then it should be another great MOC.
  19. Great MOC. Its classic. I'm sure many of us guys can understand that expression. You found the perfect expression for it.
  20. Nice. Good to see some EU characters. I like the google on Jars' head. Haven't seen that before. Very clever.
  21. Very nice. I like it that you didn't just give us a whole lot of pictures but you also strung them together with captions to give us a short story. I think as long as it works then the platform is great.
  22. Cool steampunk guy. I think I suit ammo belt combo means that after he kills you ... he'll give you a decent burial in addition to the apology. One question is do you think the shield improves his chances in a gunfight or will it make him less mobile and worse off?
  23. I agree. The sets we been getting this year been great and helps drive sales even in a recession. As long as the consumer sees value in a product then they will buy it regardless of the price. Its good to see Lego doing well. Last thing you want is for them to struggle and do silly desperate things to response. Now I know that all those $$$ I spent this year on Lego has contributed to the bottomline.
  24. Agree with you totally there. Vader's Tie is still $59.
  25. Let me think about it. Funny thing is that I got this set as a consolation prize for missing out on the Mobile Crane earlier. 15% off toys at Kmart starting Thursday. I was hoping for 20% seeing how they put up their prices on all those Star Wars set.
