  1. Apparently the new train sets aren't showing either. I checked and you are right Talos, the police sets from last year aren't there. Here I thought they had fixed the website...
  2. Amazing work! You did such a great job. Can't wait to see the interior pics.
  3. Great job! This would be a dream come true to make. I can't believe how huge and detailed it is. Was this a project done by yourself or an LUG? I can only imagine how much this cost to make.
  4. I concur.
  5. This looks so cool! Please add some more photos so we can get a better look at all the details.
  6. Can't say these were badly misprinted. They are subtly off centred. I once got two classic heads where the eyes were drooped because of the way the printing machine connected to the minifigure head but it was quite noticeable. Usually Customer Service will in good faith replace the parts but when it comes to licensed themes things get dicey. TLG won't ever sell Star Wars minifigs for instance without 'bricks' in the set. I really wish I could actually read the licensing agreements to find out why.
  7. I like the first image you posted of the New York precinct Faefrost. It's colour scheme is pretty sharp and could be done as a modular quite easily. I looked at bunch of various police stations in North America and Europe. They are quite different comparatively. Actually my monotone colour scheme was in emulation of the previous police stations TLG has produced. I wanted consistency and I do like the tone change from dark grey to white. Monotones also make it much easier to ascent with colours. You are correct though, all too often we as people just gloss over a building without truly looking at it. The human mind tends to edit out things. It makes it easier for the mind to assimilate, categorize and comprehend what's around us. Aside from my modular gas station this was the first actual modular building I created from scratch into reality. I'm pretty happy with my final product as are my elite police for having a home now. At this moment I have gained 167 supporters in the past two days. I really want to reach 10000. I think it can get there as long as I continue to gain support.
  8. Loving your take on these updated classics L@go. Have you thought about taking the concept further and redesigning them completely?
  9. First time I saw this part was in the fire brigade from 2009. It uses two of them on the garage door. I'm excited for these sets.
  10. Hi everyone, I took the suggestion and placed my modular on lego ideas. It was approved for publishing as of today. Please support my project as I know we could take this to the review stage! Aside from the modular museum I know of no other modular building to make it. I posted new photos as well of my creation. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/90855
  11. 10. 6kyubi6 - 1 14. Parks and Wrecked Creation - 1 23. CM4Sci - 1 27. Bayou - 1 33. StevenV - 1
  12. I'm envisioning that they would do the echo base hanger door with the power generator and shield and include an imperial search droid. TLG have not done these things yet. I'm excited for this set as I missed out on the first Hoth set.
  13. Actually Ondra that is the bus from the Town Square released in 2013.
  14. Same for Canada, says 'coming soon' with no option to buy
  15. I read that thread as well. not sure what the 'Metro' is but it could be something smaller than we think. It's fun just to imagine what it could be.
  16. Pretty cool Wookiee! I do like the arches. Did you design anything to hold the modulars in place? Was this costly to build?
  17. Very much an understatement, the movie will be huge. The marketing for Star Wars merchandise will be kicking off next month and throughout the year to get the buzz going. Having said that, the business meeting the other gentlemen was talking about is one of many marketing meetings with companies and their distributors to show off what's new and prepare for releases. A UCS AT-AT from Lego Ideas could yet happen if their department has a separate budget. Personally I'm inclined to agree that after the UCS TIE in May we will get an AT-AT. I'd love to have a UCS Millenium Falcon an I believe we will get either a system re-release or a new one based on Episode 7. The Falcon has just sold out completely on Lego S@H. I've been checking all this week and it seemed all was well until today. I'm guessing it will now be retired as other summer wave sets have also 'sold out' with price cuts. This is usually what Lego S@H does to clear out inventory for new sets to be released. I think it's only a matter of time for a re-release of a UCS MF as it will be one of the pivotal ships in the movie. Logic would dictate this as a sensible move for the the Lego Group.
  18. Hi Elleana, I haven't personally made any of these designs at the moment. I thought that I would eventually do something like this when I have the space and need to (ie subway). I would also like to do a cost assessment once the BnP prices are back up. Right now I'm working on my quarry for miners area design.
  19. You may want to field that question with the Lego Historian.
  20. I agree with you Hawkman. After seeing the list I'm fairly pumped and eager for the releases. In fact I now can plan for costs as well. It's cool to see the rumour mill wasn't off base either. The Lego Group's competitors are no where near the level of their products nor have I ever seen anything resembling what they produce. (Except maybe play-mobile but they are not a building toy). Chinese knockoffs are just that and I doubt they impact Lego's market.
  21. Those prices aren't that bad compared to how Canadians get gouged. It's $19.99 for a 48x48 baseplate, same for pack of two road plates. The tan and green base plates will be about $9.99. Wal-mart used to sell the green in Canada for 7.26 then up'em to 8.26. I don't like where the trend is heading. Why are we paying more? I've been trying to assess what the justification is? Now blue base plates are being discontinued too...
  22. There are a few seasonal sets from last year that may help but if I were you I would just create your own! Much more fun that way. I am imagining a minifigure that would transition between each season. For example a fig with an umbrella walking from spring into summer? Or something along those lines. Will be interested in seeing what you come up with.
  23. Thank you for pointing this out Talos. I wouldn't have realized they added some stability parts to this set otherwise. I own two of them and felt that the back was rather unsupported. Makes me wonder what other sets have been adjusted?
  24. The one colour I noticed the most difference with are red bricks. I rebuilt my fire brigade modular and the red pieces are exactly the consistency they should be. However the recent Lego City fire sets from 2013-2014 are awfully translucent.
  25. That's correct TheLegoDr. To answer your question Prince Manic. This time of year they do close the service down for the holidays. TLG usually do this simply because they have too many orders to fill out and each order from BnP is hand picked (Including PAB). BnP comes from the facilities in Denmark whereas PAB is from their facilities in Poland. I suspect the facilities in Denmark doesn't handle as much capacity as the one in Poland which is why they usually want customers to order from that site. It also allows them time to restock their inventories and add new parts. When a new part becomes available in a set it takes a few months before the factory makes enough parts to stock the BnP service. This is why after a new set is released you cannot order the part right away. It sucks to be sure to have to wait till February. Thankfully I ordered my remaining parts for my police modular on the 13th December...I totally forgot the service was closed till January. The one sticky point is with the service down I can't view the prices of the parts I would like to order to estimate costs on future projects.
