Jabba's Palace was controversial because of its resemblance to the Mosque in Istanbul.

Fantastic Beasts 2018 - Speculation & Future Set Discussion
Tariq j replied to Ookami's topic in LEGO Licensed
This upcoming movie is the first of a trilogy so we know there's at least two more movies coming besides this one. I agree in hoping that this trilogy will act as a catalyst for more HP sets from the first 7 books. I would quite like to see perhaps a UCS Ford Angela done in the style of The Tumbler/ MINI Cooper. Yes! A wolf head would make a fine addition to the current minifigure. -
Fantastic Beasts 2018 - Speculation & Future Set Discussion

I think there are a couple of minifigures which I wouldn't mind seeing in any upcoming sets: Cornelius Fudge, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Tariq j replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In no particular order: Boba Fett (UCS and Original): As others have said the UCS variant is great in every way and compliments Slave I very well alongside it. The original however, I will always like a bit better because it has that classic, nostalgic feel to it which I don't think you can ever take away figure like that, no matter how good it's current variant is. Hoth Pilots (Current Variants): I'm a lover of all things Hoth! And I think the spectacular detailing on the torso and legs really sell the minifigure for me. Darth Vader (Both Variants): Again like Boba Fett, I love the extra detail in the latest variant, but the original is just as good, and even though the helmet isn't perfect I think it's still a great figure. Grand Moff Tarkin (Original): I think there's always a figure in everyone's collection which they like but can exactly pinpoint why, and for me it's Tarkin. Bith: Love these guys, and I think their Lego counterparts are fantastic. Special Notice should also go to Kit Fisto, Palpatine and The Grand Inquisitor. -

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I think what you should do is speak to someone at Lego's Customer Service department whether that be by phone or email. They will understand the problem and get you what you need without getting flagged. -

Very nice story and build! I like the chair you've created for the officer. -
[MOD] [MOC] [WIP] Carbon Freezing Chamber
Tariq j replied to Richpepperell's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow. This is an excellent MOD, an one hell of a lot better of what Lego gave us. Good job and I look forward to seeing the finished claw section -
Very good work I like the way you've integrated features from 75093 into this MOC.

I like the Planets sets, and I miss them, even if I'm the only one
Tariq j replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Your certainly weren't alone. I'm still not too sure why so much criticism stemmed out of all the sets. The Planets line gave us Lobot, who, at the time, was the closest thing we ever got to Cloud City. -

I'd say I'm an X-Wing fan. -

I'm trying to decide between two UCS sets, 10240 X Wing, or the 75095 TIE Fighter, which one do people think is better? -
I'm going to guess WarHorse

Parisian Restaurant came out earlier (2014), so I'd get that one first as it's more likely to retire sooner.
-
Amazing work! I like the way you've displayed the models around the room.
-
Possibly, the Imperial Navy Trooper.
-
The interior of the AT-TE is a fine addition . Given the interiors of some ships have been a bit of a shambles in the past it's good to see Lego are improving.
-
Well not entirely... In ANH and Rebels Vader wears his inner cape over his shoulders covering the sides of his chest plate. So this new variant is meant to reflect that.
-
The new AT-AT looks excellent, I quite like Vader's new torso.
-
The Minifigure range is stunning. Aside from Han Solo and the Snowtroopers all of the others are unique. I think if you haven't got any Hoth sets yet, this would serve as a good "starter" set... The price is a big ask but I do like the modular design aspect of it.

Kingdoms Mafia - Confirmation & Discussion
Tariq j replied to Dragonfire's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for having me Dragonfire! I rather liked my death scene... Rather grisly! -
The Astomech droid appears to be R3-A2, which means another translucent dome piece! It will be interesting to see what Luke's "injured" face will look like.
