Announcement! Classic-Pirates.com has a position!
martinsuper replied to Zorro's topic in LEGO Pirates
So how is this position to be chose? Are we to post some sort of resume or will it be based on what we have publicly done? I regret I am unable to post MOCs as I wish I could, but my after work time is mostly spoken for, which is why I have time to be on the forum. All I'm saying is that we are given a chance to give some more information about ourselves for this position other than what is known about us. Because I don't think I will have much of a chance to win this spot known only as the guy who yells at LEGO corp. -martinsuper -
I love this. 1. It has the look of an actual LEGO set, but a little better. I enjoy this much more than some of the more intricate ships out there. Now don't get me wrong and quote me as saying this is better than some of the "masterpieces" I have seen on here. All I'm saying is that I enjoy it more. 2. I like that you kept the style of BSB and added your own twist. I have BSB as a redcoat ship in my fleets so I like the usage. 3. I didn't notice the dirty pieces, but some builders on here (my ole' buddy Hornbricker) use dirty pieces to their advantage. Don't forget that tactic. -martinsuper

Soldiers Arsenal on Clearance in the Lego Store
martinsuper replied to Dr. Steve's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yeah, I bought over twenty last year at an average of $10 each and I thought that was a deal. Some were ven damaged so I had to make sure to use them in a very careful way to hide the damage; such as under a dock or something similiar. I don't know if I'm going to pick up more, but I am going to take apart my port, so maybe.... -martinsuper -
Haha! Wow! VERY COOL! I have two clippers and I think this is a REAL nice one! -martinsuper

I am planning on building a replica of the Brig Niagara. Here are some pics. As you can see, the Cannonade is on the main deck. Hope this helps. -martinsuper

Master eBay Auctions thread - post noteworthy auctions here

Keep up the good work with the great deals for us! I know a good deal of my income this year went to these threads. Too bad LEGOs are not tax deductible! -martinsuper -

I'm interested in this. I often find a lot of time during the day where I could write about LEGO matters. I think the only thing I would look for is a little more direction in the position, but I would like to get more involved. -martinsuper -

Sad, funny, exciting, and disappointing all in one post? Congrats, Im sure thats a first. -Martin -
Very cool. I am tearing apart my fort and harbor shortly and starting anew. My biggest problem is that I am so short of space. I think rather than a huge undertaking like this, I am going to build a series of smaller more detailed forts. This way, if I wanted to bring them to brickworld it will be easier as well. A very nice mini-fig scale fort you have! Congrats! -martinsuper p.s. As much as I hate you, you are still my favorite redcoat!

I use them every time I am building something and I need an idea or inspiration. I am currently working on my first MOC with a turret in it, so some of the pics in the index have been very helpful.

Dont know if this has been said; but this reminds me of Monty Python.

If you are going to spend the time doing this, why not upgrade it to a "Super" Bounty and also change the colors? There have been many Bounty upgrades already on this forum. Here is the most recent I could find. Catch my drift? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36742 -martinsuper

Oh I know I know I know! I just wanted it to be legible. You do realize it says "Black Sheep" under the name, right? Stop being such a tyrant! Get it, Napolean? Tyrant? -martinsuper No I just have to wait until it comes out. But I don't have time to build it until then anyways. -

Hmmmm, looks like someone went to town with Cannon Battles....

I thought it was named after my ex-girlfriend who was also winchy and ruthless.... But oh well! I really LOVE how you showed the underwater part of this. It looks REALLY cool. I really like it. Its tons of fun to look at. Too bad you didn't put this into PTV II! I think you could have won something with it! -martinsuper

Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
martinsuper replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Can we get a hull front that is more pointed and less rounded? This would be nice for making some medium sized brigs, etc... Also, can SAH release 75 degree inverted corners? Also make 75 degree regular corners available in all colors on SAH? This would allow the building of 75 degree walled forts in any direction. -martinsuper -
Words cannot describe how cool this is to me. -martinsuper

You know, I have said that sometime the MOCs that are built on this forum are "too good". We often (not me but the more talented builders), make these works of art but forget that LEGOs are really toys and should be playable. This is such a cool MOC and to me could almost be a set! I love so much about this. I like the pirate cleaning the shark, the stairs, hidden cannon and the overall look is very cool! A+ -martinsuper

Pillage the Village II - VOTING - Large Category
martinsuper replied to Erdbeereis's topic in Pirate MOCs
Again, a very difficult voting contest indeed. I scream Clone_____________________1 Infomaniac________________________2 Maydayartist_______________________1 kris kelvin_________________________2 Derfel Cadarn______________________1 Everyone did an amazing job! TOP RATE! -martinsuper -
If I had to choose, like you fiends made me do, I have to choose the old ones. But for my ships, and my two fleets, I like the use the old "hard" flags as the main flag off the back of the ship. I then use the soft flags for the mast tops. For the red coats this is easily done. For the blue coats I use the soft armada flag on top with the old blue coat hard flag on the bottom. -Super

I LOVE THE COLORS! Also, for some reason, I also love the use of the brown epaulettes. I think this looks great. I have been very impressed by the ships that have been built lately, but I think we spend WAY too much time worrying about 110% historical accuracy when really LEGO is there to have fun, like this particular build. VERY VERY VERY cool! -martinsuper
