  1. WOW! Never have I heard the pot call the kettle blacker than now!
  2. VERY SWEET! I look forward to the release of these. It will make some special forces groups a lot more fun. Such as marines, riflemen, etc... -martinsuper
  3. Really cool! I love it! It looks just like what I would imagine a ship of that time would look like. You did not overdo it, and yet still covered all of the bases. Any plans to make it a reality? -martinsuper
  4. I know I know I know! I appreciate your work on this and look forward to the possibilities! The concave 75 degree slope would really open up a whole lot more possibilities! I'm just not a fan of the "lean to" way of making 75 slope walls forts and would rather just use the brick the way it was supposed to be used! -martinsuper
  5. We have 75 degree convex. We need 75 concave. Any chance this actually might become a reality Mister Phes? It would really expand my style of fort building to make a 360 firing "Cross" fort. Also, any chance of making the convex ones again in dark gray, light gray, and white for fort builders? -martinsuper
  6. You really need to set yourself a price limit and keep bidding until you win. I have every ship, and of some doubles, but I do not have Skulls Eye Schooner because I have not won one yet. I got my BSB with box and instructions and some extra parts for about $90 US dollar. Granted the lady had it listed as "LEGOLAND 6285", instead of "LEGO 6285 Black Sea Barracuda Pirate Ship", or even "LEGO pirate ship" which would have got more hits. Have you tried just searching 6285? You don't know what will pop up! But like everyone else says, PATIENCE!!! -martinsuper
  7. I have to say that as impressed I am as the size, detail, and overall quality of this ship, I am more impressed by the fact that people are getting away from the pre-fab hulls and making ships that look great without them. I think that this is the next gen of LEGO ship and I am also excited by some of the better builders such as yourself starting to tackle smaller ships without pre-fab hulls. Maybe one day we have a ship building contest and have classes based on lenght and width and the one rule is no pre-fab hulls? That would be a fun contest. -martinsuper
  8. I would lower the top deck a little to make the over all hull sit lower in the water. Other than that, it looks good. Just needs some mod and final touches. Good Job and welcome! You will find this site to be a resource like non other. As long as you continue to post and use the critic people give you, you will become an expert in no time. Consider this a LEGO school. Don't be afraid to ask for help from guys like Zuloo, Ratshot, Owl (whichever he happens to be at the time, I like NightOwl from the Watchmen the best), or Zorro for help. They are GREAT resources. -martinsuper
  9. As a person who has built a lot of forts, I can probably say that forts are the one thing I can talk about and at least pretend that I have some expierence in them. I have taken note of a lot of forts coming out lately and I find that the latest and best building technique with this type of fort is to build as much of it with 1x2 brick as possible. This will make the fort look more like it was made out of brick, and it will enhance your exposed red better. It will look more natural and the wall texture will look more realistic. I have since demolished Fort St. Kendra I and Frt St. Kendra II and began work on hopefully the final design for III. I have found that building with the 1x2 is very enjoyable. It will require some 1x1 and some corner pieces but I think you will REALLY enjoy the final result. As much as I hate SNOT (studs not on top) have you considered putting in a tile floor in the barracks section? It might really make it look a lot better and you could make some sort of design in the center of the floor to really make the open space stand out? Have you also considered instead of having the bed being foot to foot, putting them on opposite sides and filling the space more? You could then out the table and some chairs in the middle and your room space would look fuller. I don't mind the gray walls, but you will need to do something to break them up a bit. Unless te fort is amazin by its sheer size, I have found that solid walls simply are not eye appealing. Maybe mix in some dark gray 1x2s into the wall design and make it look weathered like the main fort? I hope you find my suggestions useful. -martinsuper
  10. Basically what the new Imperial Flagship is SORELY missing.
  11. Can we get a profile shot from both sides? I really can't simply see the ship. Wierd angles and closeups mess me up.
  12. Ok, we have outside corners for 75 degree slopes. http://www.bricklink.com/PL/3685.gif?0 But the problem is they are all old parts and they cost between 3 and 10 dollars for each brick! So I would like to see those get made again. Second, how about the inverted? (Concave instead of convex as Bricklink would say) http://www.bricklink.com/PL/3046a.jpg?1 (Above except in 75 degree) If you want to make an inside corner and you need a 75 degree slope, this brick is essential. So far, it doesn't exist. It does for every other slope, just not this one. Know what I mean? Us Fort builders would die for some of these. Thanks for your time. -martinsuper
  13. Dude, bottom line is, I LOVE IT. I love the crossed sword and hammer. Right way I think, Blacksmith! -martinsuper
  14. I have to be honest when I say that I would marry this ship kinda like PeeWee Herman married his salad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs81piYG2G8 -martinsuper
  15. I'm already building another one or five. -martinsuper
  16. Guy in a barrel... I have seen that before somewhere....
  17. I think its simply amazing. I like the way you made the rock face look smother than most who try to do this effect. Also, I have noticed that many are using the dark gray for rock, so it is refreshing to see light gray being used. Your tree and vegetation is simple yet gets the job done. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE docks and this is a very cool design that has inspired me to try some new techniques! The path from the water to the building is yet again simple but fits in perfect with the rest of the MOC. I like that you realized there was no need to make sand complex! I am also very impressed with the interior of your building! I am rather new to this modular building technique so every time I see one I think I learn something new. My only work of critique would be that I can't quite see that minfig up there. Whats that guy up to?! He seems to have something going on? -martinsuper
  18. Those are meant to be Chimneys, if you look inside, there is a wood stove. I can't show it too well with those pics I took. I appreciate the feedback, but it really doesn't matter because I've been told it will not be accepted in the community build. So much for trying to take part, eh? I guess it's back to the drawing board, but honestly I'm more discouraged than motivated. -martinsuper
  19. I love the multiple layers! I really enjoy how you showed the underground and still followed the rules of having four walls. Very neat, very original, and very nice to look at. Also, your road looks fantastic, it fits the MOC PERFECT! -martinsuper
  20. I hope all the unassigned MOCs make it into the build. I see a lot of new people coming out and I think part of that is that we are not competing but rather working together? BTW, great little MOC here! -martinsuper
  21. I like it. It really has the feel of an original set.
  22. I just saw this on the forum. I submitted a ship hull house today. Just when you think you have a new idea, someone always beats you to the punch! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37720 I like your take on it. Hopefully the both of us will be included on the community build. Good luck to you! -martinsuper
  23. Alright Joey, I'll add that to "The sun never sets on the British Empire"... Oh wait....
  24. -martinsuper
