So my general theme was to make the house look like it was built entirely of left over ship parts. I hope you all enjoy. -martinsuper

I just reread my the earlier posts. I'll just build a little house. -martinsuper

Thank you for making something that is very detailed and yet not overly busy looking. This looks like and actual building, not something that had to be overdone to win a competetion, and for that, I enjoy it MORE THAN ANYTHING! -martinsuper

Help with colour choice + name + bow spirit
martinsuper replied to Aquila D'oro's topic in Pirate MOCs
AH HAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE THIS BOAT! How cool is this thing? A totally original design if I may say so! very few ships make me laugh with joy, but this one has for sure. I can only imagine if I was a kid and you showed this to me! Heart attack at the least most likely. First off, I LOVE how you have crosswalks but still have the bottom deck open. very original, VERY cool. I love the original blue and white color. All in all, another cool blue coat fighting ship for our fleet! I would name her the BLUE THUNDER! -martinsuper P.S. Why not get one of the new BLUE rowboats and replace the one you have? Or use a brown one? -
I'm glad you said this, because now Im not the least popular person on this particular thread! -martinsuper

I would suggest as others have, to put her together as is and enjoy your "weathered" looking clipper. By now she is an old gal indeed, and maybe the aged look suits her fine? I will be honest and say I have two very new looking clippers and wouldnt mind a faided one, ESPECIALLY at the price you got it for!!! If you need any other clipper help, please don't hesitate to contact me for anything. It's one of my favorite ships, and after I striggled to buy the first one, the second one came in a package deal for me. Good luck ole blue coat buddy! -martinsuper

Well, I would suggest we all use our fancy dancy link to help the forum and just buy our ships NIB from EBay? This is a win/win for everyone! The forum gets some bucks and we all get our ships for the good ole cheap American prices! Perhaps a certain Spanish swordsman could find a few on ebay and link them for us?! -martinsuper

Well, better than anything I have built! Very cool my man! Keep it up!

I dont know how I missed this, but this is very very cool! I enjoy the small detail you used throughout the ship without it looking gaudy. I am very impressed! Keep up the good work! -martinsuper

You know, I really like this! its not too extravagent, and is enjoyable to the eye. I really like the fact that you have found a good use for that blue and white hull. All in all, I grade this a solid "A"! I see you are one to give the officers red and the enlisted gold? I'm the other way around. Matter of preference I guess. I like your attention to small detail. I only ask why blue coats operate this ship with a red coat flag on the ship? Are we going to see pics with sails? -martinsuper

Currently I have some bluecoats using it, but it may soon become unaligned or target practice for one of my Imperial Flagships. One built, another on the way. -martinsuper P.S. I had to buy two, the balance of power between my red coats and blue coats was becoming alarming.

Zuloo, if I didn't look up to you so much I would possibily get mad, but you know what I meant! You can get a ship that is missing some plates and other common items and still have the essesntials for CHEAP. They are REALLY cheap if they are dust covered and you dont mind doing some cleaning. -martinsuper

I plan on making some ship battle pics here soon. I think I need to buy another one of these for my bluecoats, but good lord did it take some time to put together.

I hate to not sympathize with you, but welcome to what it feels like to be an American for a change. When I went on my honeymoon in Italy this last year, I had to pay $6 US Dollars for a coca-cola. Usually its the other way around and now you know how it feels! Now, even though the US Dollar is "weaker" that the Euro, the purchasing power of the US dollar in America is much stronger. For instance, food and drink in the states are much cheaper, as are clothes and other items. Well one thing that is cheaper is LEGO. I want to feel bad for you, but this is one time I cannot. I reccomend you buy this item off of EBAY for the US price and pay a little more for shipping. You can use paypal quite easily. -martinsuper

I am going home right now to build it! YAY!!!! -martinsuper

There are a lot of good strategies. One I would HIGHLY reccomend is o buy old sets off of ebay that are missing a few parts. I don't know why, but if you buy a ship that is missing 10% of the parts, it is often 60% cheaper or more. This is a really good way to get the foundation of a custom ship. The other place to go is BrickLink! -martinsuper

I think you are tripping over a dollar to save a dime. Just pay the shipping and be done with it.

I really like this set. Nice blue baseplate. Good mini-fig, a boat, and GREEN DOORS! Everyone loves those green doors! -martinsuper

My very first pirate set. Still holds a place in my heart.

Out of all my ships, I like this one the least. I think I'm going to turn it into a unarmed merchant man or something to that effect. -martinsuper P.S. The review was good, even though I'm not fond of the ship!

Announcement! Classic-Pirates.com has a position!

Hey hey hey, find one I didn't resize since you sent your Imperial Guard against me. -
Renegade runner is the only original ship I don't own. I don't know why, but I haven't been ina hurry to get one either. So I was one of like two people who voted for clipper. One main reason is because you can buy clippers ALL DAY LONG on ebay for next to nothing. Runners are getting rather expensive. -martinsuper

As everyone has said before, and as you can see from the pictures I posted; the reason the cannon needs to be on the top deck is because there is simply no other place to put them. The Niagara has so little hull above water where else could they go? -martinsuper
-
Mine is on its way FINALLY! Thank God! I can't wait to have it built and post some pics of the ship battle I'm going to conduct. VERY EXCITING! -martinsuper

Simply fantastic. I cannot say more than what has already been said. -martinsuper
