    UCS Sets

No. An interior in 10179 would compromise the strength of the build. On the contrary, an interior in 10221 does compromise the spirit of the UCS line.

    No thanks.

    UCS Sets

An instruction for a UCS Anakin's podracer does exist. And one day, an instruction for UCS Sebulba's podracer will maybe exist too.

I'm glad you like it. If one day I become a Lego product designer, be sure I will do my best to offer great UCS models to the community.
  5. Would be too blocky to be an official model. Current Lego Bricks do not enable to make a perfect UCS Slave 1. Would be way too big. Thus, the model would cost too much compared to how much people could spend regarding the value of the product. Note : in my sentence, "value" does not mean money. It is more like a feeling. That would be a nice UCS indeed. If not totally based on fan models, if you see what I mean.
  6. Very true. Same when the model sold is very dusty. Cleaning parts or buying parts on Bricklink is not a big deal. And it can save a lot of money, especially for the big sets (those which are generally sold about 200€ when in "good condition").
  7. No, it is not an old diff, but something similar. From the photo, I guess it is a 24t gear, with 2 2L liftarms, or something like that _ _ |O| |O| |O| |O| IIIIIIIII
  8. It cant. Cause on the pic, it actually works with a 12t bevel. So, it is indeed a new turntable. Thanks for the pics ! ;)
  9. I've been thinking several times to how to build a UCS RGS. My conclusion : it would not be very different from 7676. The UCS RGS we can find on the Internet have the same problem. They are basically a bit bigger than 7676, but they do not have more detail. So, I think that RGS is not viable to be correctly UCS-ised (correctly = regarding the way TLG design its models)
  10. To say something politically correct, I would say that Lego really lacks imagination... http://www.brothers-brick.com/2011/03/26/modular-minis/ http://www.brothers-brick.com/2007/05/05/micro-10182-cafe-corner-by-mumu/ http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/92349 C'mon !
  11. Interesting thread. The picture you show is a good example that most of the new parts do not bring new possibility but make current possibilities easier. Only parts like LA's, frames, IR receivers etc bring new possibilities.

  13. But a good TT does not have any other function.
  14. A 180€/$ rock crawler ? I doubt it. Actually, it would be some kind of TT. A TT need 4 wheels, 1 XL motor, 1 M motor, 1 BB, 1 IR receiver, and about 1000 parts. These parts can not make a 180€/$ set, IMO. o_O
  15. SeTechnician powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!
  16. The instruction is available on the Lego website.
  17. Well, I think TLG will produce that part in black. :) Calling Lego Direct will be the best way to get this part, then. Cause I'm more or less convinced that BLers will speculate again with that little black part. Btw, this thread is not pinned yet ?
  18. The noze of the X-Wing is 3L wide, while the 6212 was 2L wide. This is an improvement. Indeed, the starfighter looks better that way (causse a little bit more stubby). I hope the "stair effect" will not be too visible, because of half stud everywhere. Well, studful construction with odd number sounds very interesting.
  19. W00t !?! I didn't post a message in that thread to say that the mark given to this model (basically 9/10) are about 3 or 4 times higher than what the model deserves ??? Unless I didn't get that the reviewer chose a sarcastic review to turn this model into something fun ?

    MOC AT-TE UCS

Unfortunately, I have to second that. The way Reto built the middle legs is way too weak whereas these 2 middle legs are supposed to support more weight than the 4 other legs. So, the model collapses on the ground, just with his weight. I did a much stronger design. For example, my model can stand on 4 legs. But Reto did a great job on the chassis (dark bluish gray part).

Thanks. @Boosta : there is no instruction. @wokajablocka : it is not to heavy. It has no support anymore.
  22. Not necessarily on the top. Look at the greebs of many models : 10030, 10179, 7191, 10019 and probably many playsets. There are 3 parts. W00t ? Death Star, bigger ? @_O
  23. Precisely not, sorry. Not well detailed, at least. Compare it to other UCS sets, not to a "Technic" SW models.
  24. No critical eye spotted ! The only thing which is Ultimate on this model is the price. But what is paradoxal is that the price himself is pretty normal for a 3152 part set of that size. PPP : 0,1269 € or $ (depending on your country). It is similar to other SW sets. The thing is that when a 400€ or $ has nothing of what a UCS model is supposed to have, then people feel ripped off. Indeed, the details are very poor. I laugh when I look at the greebs on the top, and I cry when I see the greebs the absence of greebs on the back. As for the finitions, it is definitely miserable with huge gaps everywhere. So, at 400€/$, it is definitely a no go for me and for many other people. I expect it to be on sale, sooner or later. You can quote. :o I still can not understand how TLG succeeded to design something worse than the 10143 DS. Lego, it is maybe time to remind you of your motto : Only the best is should be good enough.
  25. 113 cm long. 54 cm wide.
