  1. Looks good ! However (extracted from the frontpage) : "He invented this building style for ships and seems to be the only one using it, though probably not for long!" I doubt it. Technically speaking, using studless beams to build the hull does not make much sense. Using regular bricks and inverted slopes would be much more logical here.
  2. You are the first person to report that. I guess it comes from your model or your magnets. When I put a lower wing just 1cm beneath the magnets, it "flies" immediatly to stick to the magnets.
  3. Seriously, you need ideas to prevent yourself from buying a lego model ? Oo You should rather look for ideas in order to create interesting threads.
  4. You didn't count the number of thread about 41999, did you ?
  5. I have been asked to do a real UCS sticker for the RBR 10019. Feel free to print it and display it with your model.
  6. Pretty common for the brickshow !
  7. A new instruction with the modifications will be done. But I can not afford to re-provide this new instruction to all those who bought it, otherwise my server will totally burn out. Keep in mind it is a 700Mb instruction. I am sure that with some good softs, you can rebuild the pdf yourself. ;) (GIMP to extract the images, and then, a pdf builder) In the bottom right hand corner, you have the number of each page. Look at these numbers : from page 6 to 11, ignore the instruction. And take into accound the images I posted. Inventory : some parts are removed, 2 plates 1x4 DBG are added. Sorry, but I can NOT be more specific.
  8. Thank you. Yes, for each of my MOCs. But it takes a lot of time... :(
  9. "Will Technic flagship models keep getting bigger?" I hope not. The best part range to have the best compromises is about 1600 part imo (playability, price, mechanism, efficiency, etc). It can be seen pretty easily that in the last years flagships, TLG faces the limit of the system.
  10. Fine budy, do whatever you want and built the model with the 1x4 Technic bricks and the 4x4 plate. Of course, when you are done, do not hesitate to send me a photo. I would be glad to see how you did it ! ...Or how you failed ;)
  11. Ofc. What else do you want them to be ?
  12. I am not sure what you mean. Just do what is shown on the new pages. And then go to the old version, page 12.
  13. Refer to the shots above. ;)
  14. As said some time ago, here are the corrections for those who bought the instructions. The pages 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 have to be replaced by these 3 pages : I hope it is clear enough. :)
  15. Roadgraders, garbage truck, these are 2 vehicles that we used as a theme on a TechLUG contest. And these 2 contests are among those with the most entries. So yes, I think Lego fans would love to see these 2 vehicles turned into official sets.
  16. It is very similar to 9398 : the sides are attached with pins on the red parts, and the body is hinged at the back. I think TLG would not mind if I copy the BI. However, photographing or scanning each page would take ages. T_T
  17. W00t ?!? It will require tons of photos if you want to reproduce it exactly. Actually, I would have to do a building instruction with photos Oo I really think that you should wait the pdf instruction is available on the Lego website to achieve a 41999 LDD file. ;)
  18. I published my review if you want to read it (by using a translater) or see the pics : http://www.techlug.f...us-kossman-2013
  19. I'm French. However, I found it strange too. When I've been upbroad, I have indeed seen that many small items were written "Made in France" for tourists to think that they were luxury items. ^^ The building experience is basically the same as 9398. In fact, the winch does not change much the building experience. The center of gravity is a bit higher due to more parts. So, the model may fall over the ground easier than 9398. But it still works very well and performs as good as 9398.
  20. Curious, I have only one printed tile. It is "EK #### of 20000". But I do not have "EK 41999".
  21. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8110-1 => Extra items.
  22. I think they did take the first box for RM8. However, they can not know what is the number of the tile inside the box. When the parts are bagged, the 20000 printed tiles are all together. It would be a pain to bag the printed tile in the right order. I think Lego picked our models at the same time. And I have number 1791. So you see...
  23. In what universe Technic is just a model that use Technic parts ? Then a City model is a model that use City parts ?
