You could use that piece as a brake, as I tried out just now --> http://www.bricklink...167&colorID=115 Tryout: Frankly it isn't available in black, but maybe gold would fit for your red version (although this may look a little too much gold). But I think if you just leave it uncovered, you won't see it very much and it will certainly look better, than with that covering, at least in my opinion.

In my opinion the cab entry is one stud too small and the front of the cab as well, maybe it's only me though, but maybe that's why the engine looks to long as too?! Could you show us some pictures of the inside, e.g. how the motor works, and how you covered it? Edit: I've also looked up some other Lego models of this engine, including mine, and they all have the cab as long as I suggested.

Although I don't usually like grey houses, this one however appeals to me. The interior is done nicely as well, especially the 1st floor!

I have seen that building technique for rolling stock, but not for houses, nice idea!

I really like these engines - that's a nice touch, that the dark red one uses golden bars. Just one question: are the bricks between the wheels of any importance, e.g. to cover the battery box, because that makes them look a little bit boxy-shaped. I think the length is no problem, just the cab seems to be a little to small, and the dark red looks a little bit to light on the bictures, despite that they look very nicely, especially that you managed to fit pf in there

No, it's the same as the one from the green cargo train in 2006, just in blue.
-
The train station looks like a goods and passenger station, the nose of the high speed train looks similar to the 2006 train, but not as long, and it looks much better. The freight train is an American styled blue diesel engine, seems to be very promising. In one of the two sets there seems to be a small level crossing (8 studs) included.

That's nice, looks like a suburb house. I like the color as well, and you found a new use for the WV truck

I like the train and the tanks, the track setup/ layout looks nice too! -
You created two times the same thread, nevertheless the loco looks very true to the original and is very detailed! Hope to see it built in reality and that the dark tan isn't to expensive !

They could have a burning tank wagon in the fire brigade sub theme, and a box car with a robbery for the police sub theme !

I just watched the trailer of The Lego Movie and realized some interesting building techniques and details. I'll show you some pictures: Here you can see the garbage truck from set 70805 and multiple 10185 Green Grocers. I think the Chinese style house in the front looks interesting too. Here it's nice to see that they used cheerleader balls ( sorry if this term is wrong ) as small bushes as I did already a year ago for my Maithwaite station: I wonder where they got the idea from Here I like the way they made the coffee machines and the cup pile. Also the plant on the left is well designed. What seems interesting as well is that there is a monorail. Any connection to the "Mystery of the Monorail" advert of the Palace theater? But it's more interesting that they based the design of the monorail off the tram they made for 8404 as you can see in the next picture at the top left, lazy designers ??? Here a view at the monorail station. And at last a design for a house: I think it will be interesting to see the movie, and some will probably design some creations based off some of the buildings from here . At least I think it will be interesting to see the whole movie and rebuild some buildings/cars ..... Please post it if you find other interesting stuff too, and let me know what do you think!

I think Rick means the camel and cow outside the area, not the minifigs, awesome creation though

I really like that style, at first you can't really see what's going on with the facade because it's the same color, but then it gets interesting!

One really great moc, love all the different cars around, and the insight at the back Keep up the good work

Thanks, I changed it now.

I think the next Expert train will be either an American or a German steam train. Maybe this time a Tank engine, something like a x-6-4 so the last bogie could be powered by a PF motor!? As Lego likes to choose (rare) colors, I would suggest a German Henschel-Wegmann train: That (as one of the few) German steam engine isn't colored black, also there would be enough space for a pf receiver and battery box. What I like about the British steam engines is, that they have some nice colors (and they are mostly rare Lego ones as well ), which makes them more appealing to me.

So many small details! The candles, the radiator, but what I like the best is the "curvy" snow on the roof Well done!

Well, welcome to the forum. I agree: Do you have some more pictures (e.g. from the side)? You could upload some on brickshelf or flickr, that way you can insert more pictures in your post. Besides that it looks like a nice train, I see the lights are working as well . P.S.: Nice to have somebody else from Austria on EB!

Again great detail and nice use of parts! I also like how you made the bogies .
