Pillage the Village Contest: Out for Blood Edition
Dannylonglegs replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanks Captain Dee and Phred! I have a limited (and disorganized ) collection, and a full schedule this month, so I likely won't be able to build anything truly massive, but I do have a cool idea I want to try, so I'm glad to know that the first winner was only 48-48. if I get the time to build this, the "sanity-questioning levels of demented acts" should be no issue whatsoever... Never built a village scene before! ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 144 replies

You don't agree? That was the original idea behind the mech (can't swim. ) just count it as one then. I don't mind much which you think is most accurate. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Planet: E11 Tags: Science, Spaceship, Land Vehicle In an undisclosed location in MANTIS space.... Big Sal: "Ah! Accountant Long is driving me up the wall! I can't believe her last assignment!" Dave from accounting: "Well what'd she ask you to do?" Big Sal: "She tasked me with building a scientific spy satellite." Dave: "That doesn't sound too bad." Big Sal: "It wasn't challenging at all! We have kits of those things! She wouldn't even let me add a death ray to it! That's hardly scientific." Dave: "That doesn't sound too bad." Big Sal: "Well, instead of a death ray, I added a huge honking rear engine and an array of grabber arms and some other hidden defensive and offensive capabilities!" Dave: "Cool." Big Sal: "I call it the Gunless Noiseless Asteroid Tacker, or GNAT!" ................................. Later, in the asteroid fields of E11..... Big Sal: "Alright... GNAT is nearing target..." Big Sal: "What the blazes?! Is that a giant space Panda holding a Vacuum?!" ........................................ "Log date 433, This is Dr. Danielle Long checking in from aboard my Personal Asteroid Navigation Defense Armour, or O-AN1PMAc555D. I've been informed that there's supposed to be an acronym in the vessel's name, but Acronym's are hardly scientific, and unauthorized use of acronyms can easily result in miscommunication and a subsequent drop in efficiency and work-place harmony, and therefore are subject to a rigorous approval process. I don't believe I approved an acronym for the AN1PMAc555D. Semantics aside, I am currently among the asteroids of E11, planting the Metal Eater bacterium on a host asteroid. I mean to test the viability of E11's asteroids as a growth medium for the Axle's gene-manipulation Labs' newest product. We've developed this fascinating organism, the Metal Eater Bacterium, to be a safe and nutritious source of Biomass for our valued employees. Once I have seeded this asteroid, we will track it and examine the growth habits of the bacterium natural void conditions. Almost done now. Dr. Long signing off." As usual, better pictures pending. I'm back in the saddle, baby! To be clear, the Mech can freely fly in space, but can also crawl/walk on larger asteroids, and therefor counts as both a land vehicle, and a space vehicle. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Pillage the Village Contest: Out for Blood Edition
Dannylonglegs replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
Any insight into how competitive a 36-36 build would be in the large category? Should I expect to be competing against highly detailed 100-100+ builds? I could scale my plan down to 16-16, but I think it'd be easier to make a bit larger than that so it doesn't look cramped. ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 144 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Damn, you beat me to it! I would not expect to see a Tiger Lily minifigure, or a figure of any of the "Indians" from Peter Pan. I Wouldn't be surprised to see a Peter Pan minifigure though. That'd be cool. Can't wait for actual rumours! This could be a great theme! ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 4,155 replies

Lego Ninjago 2016

Well, I for one hope they bring the old palm tree piece back. I miss that darn thing. :sad_cry: But as far as replacements for the piece go, the tentacle piece sounds great! I hope it gets released in cheaper sets (and many of them) so that I can amass enough to actually have a palm tree forest. I love that they're using the bush piece upside down. It looks like they're taking cues from moccers! ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Blacktron Mafia: Conclusion, Tranquility
Dannylonglegs replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I thought it was a hilarious coincidence that you pegged Dave correctly, but then went back and saw that MT had played perfectly into "knowing too much" if events had transpired differently, I wonder if after Dave was killed or lynched, if MT wouldn't have been the next lynch. In regards to player analysis, tomorrow :tm: should work for me. ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 155 replies

I think this is a castle theme. It has castles. But. But it is not at all a historic theme, and therefor does not belong here. It's not even a medeival fantasy theme. Just straight up action/sci-fi, like Ninjago. Just my 2 cents. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
