Do you know which set? I didn't see any in the Jestro set which is where I most expected to see them. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

And the Necronomicon is a towtal New Yawkah'." (Or is that a Boston accent? I get them confused some times. Unparalleled H4x0rz. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Jestro-like

Aren't there only 2? And they only appear in one set? They do look great though, in a goofy way. seriously funny looking. They are perfect for traditional devil creatures though. Satan's army will be well stocked! I hope they come in a cheap set so I can get at least 1. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I think the general concensus is that they'll go in the "action" forum, but it's a bit Taboo to say so in-thread. I highly doubt it'll end up here, since the combination of Castle and Sci-fi puts it squarely in the middle, much as was the case with Chima and Ninjago. It may, though. this is just baseless speculation! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Oh yeah, and all of these shield parts are great. I'd love to see them as stained glass windows, or the like. And man, the sea serpent one and the dragon one? Mmmm. Very nice. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

A man, the armour decals are actually holes? Hate to disagree, but that makes them so much more reusable! just pick a flat colour, or another character's torso, or find one that matches the torso in some other interesting way! That's pretty cool, IMO. It looks like black magma dude comes in the crushy set with the Green knight. Looks to be cheaper than the chariot set. I'm hopefully guessing maybe 20-25 $. Probably more though. Also, gotta chime in and say the horse head on the mechahorse in the Jestro-set is just beautiful. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Oh Yeah, as I said before, "Lava Ultron" is definitely the best figure. The guy beside him is great too. Honestly, all of the villain figures are top notch, and most are readily reusable. I really want the black magma dude. I don't love the set he's in, but if the rest of the year is light on my wallet, I may get a chance to pick him up. doubt it though, I still have to buy many a set from this year/last year. Next knights should actually alleviate a lot of my financial burdens if I play my cards right! I'd love to see Lavaria, though. She sounds badass. Who's the giant in the TV show with the devil head that shows up beside the Jestro-cart-carrier guy? Does he appear in any sets? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Oooh! The Queen looks lovely! I know she's getting some shade for her simplicity, but that's actually one of my favorite parts of the minifigure! She could easily be a nursewife or noblewoman this way as opposed to "Queen." Very useful minifigure! The kind doesn't look too bad. I don't like his armour to be frank. I always dislike armour printings when a novel clothing print could have taken its place. I would much rather have seen his tunic. Also the armour is just too busy and tech-y. but whatever. If he and the Queen come in a set small enough to fit in my price range, I'll grab 'em. The kids are great! I wonder what the female kid's torso looks like! And the hair is great, of course. Interested to see what she's holding... library card anyone? And the baby blue knights... oh yeah. Definitely army building. at least the 2 seen. If I can get more easily, then I will. I guess that means I'm for sure buying the 2 cheapest sets in the wave! they look like they could easily be space crusader types, along the lines of WH4K's space marines. Or they might even find a place in a more traditional castle setting. Can anyone make out their armour decal? In relations to the theme's goofiness. Yeah, it's there. This is another Big Bang so it's 100% expected. I'm not even a bit sour like I was with Ninjago (come on! Can we please get an actual historic ninja theme again? Or anything non-western? :hmf: ) I don't really care what the story is, these sets have some great parts for space (those Trans pieces are the bomb, and the new "door" panel pieces are really really really nice. I'm definitely not getting the castle tank, but wow. They look good) and plenty of pieces for castle too, honestly. This pyramid parts? You're out of your mind if you don't think those are useful! But yeah, I'd like to see the theme less tron-y and more castly, or even darker and edgier with less "pee your knight suit" jokes, but, eh, I'm a cynical, jaded, bitter adult with no imagination and a dead heart devoid of fun or love. Bring on the dark edginess and historical realism! Huh. I really love Fright Knights. Gimmicks aside, I think it filled that kinda Eastern European Gothic niche that had previously not been dealt with by Lego. Although to be fair, bats are my favorite animal, so it could just have been the heavy focus on Bats that made me so enamored with the theme. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I agree. He looks good too! Probably a very expensive set... ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Ooh! Vitruvious' beard in gold! I really want to see a physical minifigure of the wizard now! I hope he's in the library set! With this new book piece, I can't imagine missing out on a library set! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Oh yeah, I would love a new Crook piece for a staff. Looking at it now though I am worried that It may just be a recolor of the Ninjago snake piece. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

He may be villain for more than one year, imo, but after he's gone a year or 2 as villain Lego will switch it up. Maybe we'll get the evil villain who made the book, for instance. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

If this story does go on long enough, I'm positive he'll get a redemption story arch. In my mind it's 100%. Cragger turned good (although he was never really evil), Garmadon turned good, even Lord Business turned good. It's a thing for children's shows in general, and Lego in particular. Also it's set up that he's clearly corrupted by the book. So, there's that too. Now, whether we'll get a pre-vil version of him at that point, or just a good-guy version is another story. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
I am not super surprised about this. I imagine he'll show up next wave in a cheaper set. In the meantime, children have to buy the big set to get the figure they all so desire. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
Yeah, I'd love to have that turquoise/aqua and purple jester hat! Maybe he'll be redeemed like Garmadon and we'll see his good form. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

A lot of the new heads are great. I'll have to try and grab as many as I can. I really like the green guy's head. I love that Jestro seems to have a double sided head. They all do, I think. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I'm looking forward to seeing what the ultimate sets have that I can buy for cheaper than the regular sets so that I don't have to buy them! Hope the (very New-Yorker sounding) Legonomicon comes in an ultimate set! I forget, does Macy have an Ultimate set? Also really want to see that Library. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
I am too. Every female must be a princess. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
Does Macy only appear in the pacman chariot set? I'm kinda disappointed about that. I thought the green character was female too. Guess you can't have more than one female in a theme, though. I don't know if I'll get Macy if she only comes in that big set. Love the black and molten lave villain though. Genuinely scary looking. The goofy face on the mohawk villain is a bit disappointing, but not a deal breaker. I'll definitely get a few of him (although perhaps not intentionally) Still want to see the generic soldier figures. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Do I smell a new crook shaped staff piece for the wizard? I think I do.... ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Sorry to double post, but I have a few rulesy questions. Question 1: would a Hardsuit count as a vehicle? Question 2: hypothetically, if I built a giant bug-like vehicle with legs for land walking and wings for flight (like real bugs) would this only count as one type of vehicle? I am not planning to build one of these (for a while at least) but this is more related to my Panda mech. If something is designed for two purposes, how can one show these two purposes so that they are both counted? Or will a vehicle only be counted as having 2 purposes if it changes in some way to achieve them? Keep in mind I'm not trying to game the system or anything, I just want to know for future builds. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Honestly I'm really really happy it comes in so many sets. I need those badboys all the time, and I really don't want to break my nails as often as I do while building! so seriously, thank you Lego! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
