LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, I'm not a huge mythology buff, but I thought there might have been a distinction therenot but I really didn't know for sure either. Thanks for the info! In modern usage though there really is no difference. Maybe Lego will make both! ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Illuminati Confirmed. But yeah probably. I likely won't get that set as it doesn't sound inticing. For the most part I can only see myself using these sets as parts packs. Lots of good Sci if parts and colours. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
True, I was just sort of thinking "out loud" as to whether that design's hair might feature later as maybe another satyr if this one turns out to be a faun. I would love to see that leg piece get multiple uses. Ooh! Maybe we'll see an evil faun with black fur legs and a wicked face with hair like seen above! And then we could get a (totally not-true-to-mythology) female faun! I really like those legs. Note: I'm using "faun" and "satyr" as if they were different things for the purposes of reselling the piece and concept in multiple minifigures. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

This is exactly what I want. pan piece! Goat/horse legs! Yes yes yes! The hair doesn't look like the gargoyle piece though, so I'd be interested to see how they go about that. This hair piece actually looks a lot like Farran's from "Elves"... if only that gorgeous hairpiece appeared in yellow. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

Hourglass piece could help make it unique. I don't know why they'd make a reaper though. It's very obviously related to death. new scythe piece would be meh. They're always making new sword pieces these days. Black robes are ubiquitous, and I don't see them making a winged death. Too angelic, methinks, and therefor too religious. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Lego Minifigures Series 15 Guessing Game

1. Satyr* 2. Shark man* 3. Tribal woman* 4. Terra Cotta soldier 5. Dark Elf (maybe bley or purple skinned, with either a new hairpiece, or a recolor of the LotR ones. Hopefully spider-rific, but if that's too trademarked by wizards of the coast, then at least dark and edgy looking. Could be male or female. Hopefully we'd see the other in a later wave. 6. Space Police officer (sp 2) (dark or medium green space armour. Updated torso. Stuffy and official looking. Talks about space donuts in bio.) 7. Plague doctor (don't know if they would do this, but it is totally needed!) 8. Bicyclist (new bike helmet, maybe a tire pump? Or a cup of wine (a la Tour du France) or bottle of water. Maybe a metal otherwise. 9. Ballerina (froofy tutu piece.) 10. teacher (older woman, maybe with an exam or a text book. Maybe an apple and mug that says "I <3 math" or something.) 11. Snowman. I can't believe they haven't already, and it t'will be the season. 12.Shepherd. with crook. Maybe sheep please. 13. Female Cyborg. Maybe a bond-villain style character? 14. Sultan or Arabian prince. 15. Flight attendant 16. Real boy (like pinnoccio) Marie Antoinette rip off. Dress piece has been referenced... Violinist. May change some of these if I feel like it. I don't think I've done one of these before. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

AG - Introduction and Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
Where? I never got more than one when it was in stores (because I was miffed that it seemed to be a bad reboot of the Insectoids theme) but I definitely missed out, in hindsight, on some awesome figures and parts. Great choice! Yeah, I'm not huge on rebels either (and the TFA sets are just too expensive for me. Just wow. ) so I likely won't get the set myself, but if you're looking for a parts pack, it's apparatus discounted on amazon. I'm sure we could think of other good sets too if we put our minds to it. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Zeppelin does use the panels, I was asking about another hot air balloon in a different set, which apparently does not use the panels. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
AG - Introduction and Discussion

I'd say that definitely depends on your choice of Corporation. Octan uses a lot of white, so sets with high number of white pieces are helpful. And every Corp uses a lot of grey and dark grey, so star wars sets come with a lot of those. in fact, star wars sets come with a lot of useful pieces for any corp, with many sets including great numbers of white, dark red, and black. Recently, in Octan's private discussion board, Mediumsnowman pointed out that "Ghost" from Rebels was a good Octan piece pack, and that it was on sale on Amazon. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Agreed. A grim reaper is easily doable with current Lego parts, as opposed to many of the CMFs which have previously never been done, or have not been done in such nice detail. I just think a reaper would not be unique enough, and also, the whole point of the reaper is a little too dark for the scope of CMFs. Lego likes to skirt around such topics as death, as seen with the flavor text of the banshee. "The Reaper" just isn't very subtle. Also, the ghost figure from this line that was just released fills a similar niche to be quite honest. In other news I now have 10 fly figures, and one of all of the rest except for the cheerleader and maybe one or two others. But 10 flies, though. so good! ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Oh, someone who's seen the sets, are the hot air balloon parts used in the zeppelin the same colour as those on the big island fortress thing set? Both orange? And is this orange the same as the Arctic theme? Or is it yellowish orange? ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
You know what? I was thinking the same thing. I've seen chalk that looks like a rock like that. You are right though-I'd rather see a white lipstick part used for that function instead. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
