Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Both Vindi and Lok Durd were already captured by the Republic so it's highly improbable that they'll be back. Unless, Filoni and his team does the 'impossible' and miraculously revives them... But Adm. Trench is a good possibility, I actually liked his character and it's a shame he was 'forced to diassappear' after only one episode. But I hope he'll do an Aurra-comback. -
Darth Aiklimacz would like to challenge Parama Jandu for a duel. cralegoboy, let's duel!

Now those plain happy smiling fleshie heads certainly won't fit well with the pacifist Death Watch Mandos, so that's highly improbable. Nice observation. It's actually the Mando's short speeder that is a bit out of the norms, since the BARC speeder is pretty consistent with other long speeder bikes in the SW universe.

Very well done 501st Commando! I see you've created a quite wonderful hangar for your equally impressive HLC Mk.1. The whole build is so 'Republic-y' with the grey color scheme with highlights of dark red. The details are just perfect, not overly done and just right on the money. Great work!

Thanks R5! Merci!

Don't worry, I completely understand. What I said was actually not to criticize your wonderful MOC, but just me voicing out the difference I observed between the 300 Spartans and the lego Spartans. Read in another way, it's just wishful thinking on my part hoping that someday TLG will create a Spartan-type theme with a variety of Spartan warrior gears.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand of the rules is the main goal is not to create the perfect Cosplay custom minifig but to create an imperfect but realistic Cosplayer minifig, right? By 'imperfect' means the Cosplayer should have like an amateurish costume, not very well done make-up, hair, and the like?

Oh my... That's is one hell of a great Japanese temple MOC lego-maniac! You pretty much nailed the Japanese architecture of the temple perfectly! I also like the modified legs of your minifigs, especially the kneeling samurai. I love this, really love this.

Great recreation of the scene from 300 mifody! The rock formations are very well done, as well as the secret passage. The only thing I noticed is that the Spartans in the movie are shirtless, compared to the armoured lego Spartans. Also, Leonidas was the only one with the crested helmet. But that's something that is kinda difficult to do, and your creation is still fantastic noneheless.

It's quite obvious that I am an EB-addict isn't it?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Yeah you're right about that, but those were movies, and were pretty acceptable, compared to these short 20-minute episodes. Makes me wonder Filoni and his team might be running out of new stuff to show the audience. They keep 'recycling' characters, locations, and story plots in these prequels that they could've just put these stories together with the orginal episodes. Anyway, enough of this rant. As D-Sion said, as long as the episodes are good then there's no problem. -
This is a fantastic modification of the Police HQ metalgearsolid! Looks nothing like the original, this one looks like a brand new Police HQ set that is waaay better than the 7744. It's nice to see the fusion of the modular-style main building and the new modern wing. Truly impressive work Madam!

I think we should all know better by now that BP vehicles are not to be expected to be very accurate models, simply because the designers have limited number of parts to work with and the fact that the main selling point of BPs are the minifigs and the vehicles are just add-ons.

What's up with these prequels lately? I really don't get the point of "jumping around" the storyline as Filoni said in the article. I'd rather have a chronological flow of the storyline than prequels of past episodes. I bet kids, or even some adult fans, will get confused with this. -
Without seeing the clear pics yet and just the blurry prelims, I still think TLG's version would be blocky. Believe me I've studied 'numerous' photos, screenshots, and videos of BARCs and I've always seen them as "slim" long speeders, and not at all blocky. Maybe the other peeps share the same sentiment. I know it could be done, as proven by other BARC MOCers, and that's why most fans are a bit disappointed with the 'blockiness'.

Looks good, but I'm not really feelin' the side railings beside the cockpit, it looks kinda out-of-place there. Nice Blacktron-ish clor scheme, but it could use a lot more details and less huge pieces.

Welcome to Eurobricks MPLSmidget! Hope you enjoy your stay here. See you around!

Unfortunately, Tervlor already removed the photos. But maybe other members who were able to grab the photos care to share them?

Thanks for battling me for my first duel, Minxter. This is trully a humbling experience. Thanks also JB, it's an honor being adjucated by the "Chosen One". ...Aiklimacz walks away from the battle, her body defeated but not her spirit, her vengeful heart eagerly awaits another time to duel and exact revenge to the jedi...

Ahhhh zombie clone
XimenaPaulina replied to Eurobricks fan's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ouch! Seeing a purposedly-damaged minifig is painful in my eyes. The damaged effect is good, but I'm not really a fan of this one. -
That's what I think too. This is pretty consistent with the other crappy BP vehicles, so this ain't much of a surprise. To give TLG the benefit of the doubt and not to undermine their designers' skills, I'd think they just did this on purpose to 'encourage' modding skills of the fans, especially the young ones. But however crappy the BARC speeder is, I'm still getting loads of this BP since what I'm after are the ARF troopers.
-
Dammit! I wasn't able to see it... But I was already expecting the BARC speeder to be blocky, it looks that way in the first blurry pics that we saw. It's just a shame that TLG once again passed up the opportunity to finally correct and come up with the right BARC speeder design. Well, I guess it's up to us MOCers/MODers to once again improve this failed BP vehicle.
