I actually expect that there will only be one type of Mando in the BP, the only variation will be two will have jetpacks while the other two have none. It perfectly makes sense since there is no variation on the Death Watch Mandos (they all freakin' look the same) that we saw in the CW series. Regarding the plain blue torso, maybe they blue printed Mando torso are still in the works when those prelims were made (much like Saesee's clone head and Vos' Boba head).

Yay! More clear pics! I was almost right about the 10 BDs in the Naboo Battle set (I counted 9 on the previous blurry pics). It's also good to know that TLG corrected some of the wrong info on the prelims, like Clone Commander instead of Clone Commando, and removing the Cato helmet off Sugi. Now all we need is to see are the final versions of Saesee, Shaak, and Vos, as the jedi trio still look preliminary.

Haha, this is just a hilarious follow-up to your K-9 Walker, Leo-J! What a great way to pick-up lightningtiger's suggestion. As always, very creative on the build. Keep up with this very innovative, radical, and quite funny MOCs!

Very interesting and unique slim design, the overall shape of the ship does resemble a barracuda. The fine details and greebles are just perfect for this amazing creation. Great work Stefan!

Great Pizza bar MOC Soundmanred! Kudos to you and your daughter for a job well done. The interiors are very nice with just enough details perfect for a pizza bar.

Very impressive UCS TIE Collection! (one for each TIE)

Lots of great entries! By my votes go to: 1) Rufus for his Skier Entry #9 2) Diidy for his Jungle Explorer Entry #11 and 3) Darkblane for his Vampire Entry #23 Good luck to you guys! Best of luck in the contest! -
Impressive review as usual Oky! I especially loved the comparison photos of the old and new Grievous and the starfighters. I definitely think the new starfighter is better than the old one, and the new-look highly-detailed (Megablocky?) Grievous is really a must-have minifig for any LSW fans. Though I never realized the new GG's neck was that long! Even if this is not on my must-get list, I'd still say this is an above average set. BTW, shouldn't this be already a final review and not WIP (as stated in the title)?

Custom Clone trooper camouflage
XimenaPaulina replied to brickplace custom's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very impressive work brickplace custom! The camo prints are professional-looking and very well-applied. The only suggestion I could make is that you should've used sand green body and legs so that the camo prints will blend in seamlessly. Unlike in this one where there is a noticeable white outline on the torso and legs, unless that is the way it's intended to be. But still, that's a great custom that I could only dream of making. -
Me neither, it looks good to me. Though I think I'll just get one set of this, a couple max, since I really have no use for an army of blue Mandos. The Clone BP looks certainly will be a fan-favorite among clone army builders, I could easily see myself getting at least four of those.

Ahh, I think I'm becoming more and more of a lego HP fan (lego, not the books/movies) the more I see these reviews of the upcoming HP sets. The details of the minifigs in this set are just astounding and very impressive. The Ginny fig is simply gorgeous. The various elements of the house are also well-designed and would definitely be useful for non-HP MOCs as well. Thanks for sharing this wonderful review Clone O' Patra. CLASSIC!

I'm lovin' this action-packed duel. DS for Round 3 sent!

Nah, I think it's ok to talk about the prelims, it's the source of the 90+ pages of this thread anyways. Let's just be all mature in the way we discuss things (tone down a bit on the complaints, always take into account that prelims can change, and definitely no wishful thinking off-topic discussions).
-
You hate the Mando BP but you love the figs and you'll even get three?!? Now that's confusing and funny at the same time. Anyway, I agree with you that BPs are really intended for minifig army building and the vehicles are just add-ons.
-
Yes the leaked pics are still prelims, maybe the prints of the MFs will probably change, but I highly doubt there will hardly be any changes in the final design of the vehicles. I hope I'm wrong, and TLG decides to create an appropriate air intake piece for the BARC, but that's just wishful thinking on my part.
-
Very nice concept of an amphibious plane, you really did well capturing the looks of both an aerial vehicle (airplane) and a water-based one (stingray). Good job as usual Fires-storm!
-
Brickforge's guitar and violin is perfectly suited for this Mariachi band! Those two goes along well with the clown's trumpet and the maraccas. Great job 'organizing' this band fred67!
-
Interesting custom headgears, they look really well-done. Is that a custom sword too? (though it looks like TLG's version)
-
You really have some amazing custom parts brciktw, based on the collections that you've posted. Though I'm not really into the Oriental dynasty theme, these customs look perfect for those who'd want to recreate the the ancient history of China's dynasties.

Looks great! Perfect minifig version of Asterix, couldn't have done it any better.

Finally, just saw the clear prelim pics, thanks for sharing Skafte. The BARC looks pretty decent for a BP vehicle, yeah it might be a bit blocky but this speeder has always been a very tricky one to do, especially the front part since there doesn't exist a decent piece to approximate the front air intake part thingy. But it could always be modded to become more accurate to the real thing. Another thing I observed is the ARF trooper helmet, the 'eye opening' is printed!?!. I would've wanted it to be like the the biker scout trooper helmet with the cut-out eye opening and a black head. Even if I doubt it'll still be changed, I might have to compare this with Arealight's upcoming version. If the latter has the cut-out eye openings, I might have to pass up TLG's ARF. It really depends on how you look at it. I view it as white, it just looks grey because off its dirty-white battle-damaged finish. Just compare the white trooper armor with the BARC's color, so it should really be white and not grey.

I certainly agree with you Skafte, 101%! This is probably one of the gravest injustices in the history of lego star wars. I personally can't understand what TLG has against the honorable senator from Naboo that they haven't released any Padme fig yet. Heck, even the most sophisticated droid in the SW universe won't find the logic behind this anomaly.
