  1. Shouldn't there be a pinned contest entry subtopic where the entries can be posted? Just like in the other themes' contests? Or it's just ok to post in down there (regular topics)?
  2. Very nice tricycle! And Von Nebula really looks a very mean badass villain. Great job on these Siegfried! Though the trike kinda looks too childish for Von, but I like the 'contrast'. As usual, the last photo is oh so fun! We had Tonberry before, now we have Lotso! Really perked me up! So who's next, Hello Kitty? Pikachu?
  3. Your 6-car train looks great! And you've got quite an impressive collection there, though the town layout can still be improved.
  4. Very impressive creation SavaTheAggie! The architecture of the church is just amazing. Truly a very nice scene to look at.
  5. Probably, since Rep. Commando squads are described as "tightly-knit" 4-man squads. But Wookieepedia says they are still "technically inferior" to the ARCs. Anyway, just wanted to clarify that up. It doesn't really matter since they are on the same side. Let's just hope that the series will present the Rep. Commndos better than they did the ARCs.
  6. Sadly TLG let the opportunity pass of appropriately pairing Bly with Aayla in the CTT set. Now they might have to throw him 'randomly' in another set (like Fox in the Spider droid set). The Mygeeto bridge set looks like a good idea. This will include a UT-AT + Ki-Adi + Bacarra + a couple of those sweeit looking dark red 21st Nova Corps Galactic Marines, and will be similar in size with the 7675 AT-TE set.
  7. Wow, this just means that you, Oky Wan Kenobi, is now more popular than Obi Wan Kenobi. Congrats! Yeah I agree with you. It was kinda disappointing to see the inferior performance of the ARC Troopers in that episode. As a fan, I look up to these elite troopers with high respect, and they just showed Colt beaten helplessly by a female Sith acolyte. I would've wanted them to be as badass as Fordo's troops in the cartoon series. Well, I just hope they don't do the same with the upcoming Commandos. BTW, now that you mentioned it, I'm now confused on who's the best clone troopers around. Senate Commandos? ARC Troopers? Republic Commandos? The way I see it: ARC Troopers > Republic Commandos > Senate Commandos. Just correct me if I'm wrong since I'm not all that familiara with the Republic Commandos' skills.
  8. Great trucks Selander! Like what they've said, the "long nose" hood is the winner in this one. Kudos to you and to P. Normandin for that clever design.
  9. Sorry I was actually thinking about Bly when I said Neyo. So I'd say Gree, Bly, and Thire have good possibilities that we'll see them in lego form in the near future, due to their appearance in the CW series. We could do without Neyo and Bacarra, Arealight will do that for us (the helmets).
  10. Great MOC 74louloute! Very impressive for your first military MOC, just a testament of your building expertise. I love the plane's smooth SNOT finish, and the Japanese red circle on the wings. The base is fantastic in itself, with the rising sun symbol a very clever well-executed detail. I'm so lovin' this creation.
  11. No prob. JB, as long as there are results I'm ok with that. DS for round 2 sent. cralegoboy, you're up.
  12. That's a pretty good build Andeh. I am not at all familiar with Halo, but after a quick browse at google, I must say you got the basic shape of the real ODST Drop Pod, but it could still do a few more improvements. Hope to see some of your Halo creations here soon.
  13. Ooh, very interesting topic, thanks for coming up with this brilliant idea Cutlass Iz, I see this going on for years. I'm pretty sure many will post here their favorite celebrities in lego form. I better start doing mine. BTW, I love that grayscale photoshot!
  14. First, you could view it as Cham fighting for his people, it just so happened that the Republic helped them (though not full-force help). Would he refuse the help of the Republic when it comes to protecting the lives of his people? Secondly, the way I view it, Mace was actually trying to get back the support of the disappointed Cham to fight the Separatists for the liberation of Ryloth. It was not established if there was a real negotiation between Cham and the Republic during the first time they fought together in Supply Lines. Out of curiosity I rewatched the Liberty on Ryloth episode, Cham Syndulla said in that episode (not the exact words): "When the Separatists tried to invade Ryloth, the Republic wasn't able to help us and we were forced to evacuate." Maybe by what Cham said as "the Republic wasn't able to help us", was meant to be "the Republic wasn't able to help us in time", which is what happened in Supply Lines. I still stand by my understanding of the storyline I stated above.
  15. But that linked topic is about "How you got out of the Dark Ages". This is one is specifically about "How you got into Lego Star Wars". The first post might not be that well-constructed, but the title says it all. So this topic might be valid, unless there has been a similar topic before. Just to give my 2 cents, being a SW fan like all of us here, I started when LSW was first introduced circa 1999. My first set was the Lightsaber Duel (Qui-gon vs. Maul). And the rest, as they say is history.
  16. I count nine BDs at the prelim pic. = 7 regular BDs + 2 pilot droids (blue). If you try to zoom in the photo, you could see: - 2 reg. BDs + 1 pilot droid on the ground - 1 reg. BD + 1 pilot droid in front of the BD Carrier - and 4 reg. BDs at the racks TOTAL: 9 BDs
  17. Happy Birthday Stash! Wishing you a wonderful celebration and many more years to come! Happy birthday also to other celebrants as well.
  18. Very nice alternate model for the 6743, Legostein! It seems you've been having fun with these alternate models of creator sets eh?
  19. Without any knowledge of the rumors and just reading the topic title, the first one that popped out of my mind is the Sydney Opera House. I think it is one of the most iconic structures in the world, together in the league of the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, and the Tower Bridge. Another one that crosses my mind is the Pyramids of Egypt (Giza), but that would be a very boring and redundant build. In terms of the buildings of the Old World, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Colloseum are also great ideas.
  20. Very nice review, thanks for sharing KristofBD! I love the small details of this set - the light bricked-fireplace, the owls, and even the printed mushrooms.
  21. Oh no, I have no problems with the roof, it looks perfectly fine to me. That studded-roof comment was for actually for 'the self-proclaimed studded-roof hater', ThatGuyWithTheBricks. And that's already a masterpiece by my standards.
  22. Who would've thought that this simple creator set can be transformed into a mini-Naboo N1 Starfighter? This is truly ingenuity and creativity at its best that only the Master of Minis could pull-off. Impressive work as usual Legostein!
  23. Oh my... this is one lovely Gothic Cathedral creation... The glass mosaic detail in the interiors are just fantastic! Superb work on this masterpiece Nuju Metru! How about the studded roof?
  24. Interesting... though I'm not much of a Wii guy, this looks a good accessory for lego-Wii fans.
  25. Haha, I just love that Nazi poster! Lovely details overall - the wagon, cannon, bike, posts with broken lines - all perfectly suited for a WWII vignette. Great job Ezechielle!
