  1. If what Tinn-man suggested does not work, I would just go to LEGO Customer Service and describe that the minfigs are missing (there's a place to do that after you type in the set number - there's some fine text under the bricks that says "If part you need is not shown then click here"). I recall that someone else on EB said that he was missing a whole bag from a set, and he requested for all of them (about 100 pieces) on LEGO Customer Service with no questions asked.
  2. You're right! Don't go trying to sell them though - they're worth less than 10 cents. EDIT: Beaten by three minutes! I hate it when my family members watch what I'm doing on my computer/download things.
  3. Only about ten minutes until 2010, so I've decided to post now to be sure that this post was made while it's 2009. I wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with LEGO!
  4. This is hilarious! Phineas and Ferb is a funny show, and I always love seeing the parts with Perry in it. I was thinking about requesting for that a while ago!
  5. Thanks for the wonderfully detailed review Inky! It's a shame that this set didn't include Fred or George, but they wouldn't be able to fit in the car anyways. However, it's odd how they were never made in minifigure form when they're such important characters in the whole Harry Potter series. This makes me want the LEGO Harry Potter theme to come back even more!
  6. WhiteFang, I just noticed that the review for 8058 Guardian of the Deep links to a review of 8057 Wreck Raider. Here's the link to the actual 8058 Guardian of the Deep review: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35417
  7. Visited the LEGO Store in Valley Fair, CA today and purchased both of the 2010 Star Wars battle packs! They also had all six Ben 10 sets, two or three Toy Story sets, all Atlantis sets (except for the impulses, which I wanted), and a couple of other Star Wars sets (you had to ask an employee to get them from the back, though).
  8. 190 items are on sale on shop.LEGO.com for the US! http://shop.lego.com/SalesAndDeals/Default.aspx?va=1 EDIT: Over half of the sets are already sold out, though.
  9. I purchased an Ambush in Cairo at Target today with my gift card that I got for Christmas. The minifigs are very detailed, but my Marion had a smudged upper lip (hooray for LEGO customer service!). There were lots of new parts to add to my collection, including the green apples, reddish brown baskets, tommy gun, pistol, Castle sword, huge tan barrel, metallic gold dish, and purple roof.
  10. I spotted a single copy of 7591 Construct-a-Zurg at Walmart today: There was also one copy of Army Men on Patrol, one of Construct-a-Buzz, one of Buzz's Star Command Spaceship, and a couple of 'Woody's Roundup!'s. I also checked another Walmart, but they had none of the 2010 sets.
  11. whung found lots of upcoming Atlantis accessories on LEGO.com's cache: Enjoy!
  12. Here's what I got: LEGO the PAB box you get for free with a $75 purchase at LEGO Stores ($8 USD value) 7801 Rally Racer ($3 USD) 8028 Mini Tie-Fighter ($4 USD) 10199 Winter Toy Shop ($54 USD - 10% off) 30008 Snowman ($3.50 USD) 30009 Christmas Tree ($3.50 USD) Other $20 Target gift card two movie tickets History workbook (not really a Christmas present but my History teacher said it was so what the heck ) I might also get some money from my aunts and uncles! Merry Christmas everyone!
  13. Even though it was tedious to set up all these lights I believe that the overall result looks right Now all these lights can shine very bright and now they make a very fine sight No need to fright, try as you might Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
  14. Has anyone seen this picture yet (from Eurobricks member Gerjan Lennips)? It's called 3862 Hogwarts Challenge, which means that it's a Harry Potter board game! This surely must also mean a revival of the LEGO Harry Potter theme! http://www.flickr.com/photos/gerjanlennips...57623063161082/
  15. Thanks for this very detailed review Oky Wan! There's not much to this set, but I still like it very much. The overall ship just looks good to me. The Zurg minifig is amazing! Sure, he could use some printing on his legs slope, but it's Zurg! I also like the double-colored cape that he has. Why couldn't they have done that with the Winter Toy Shop caroler, though? And by the way, do you think you can get a size comparison shot with another $30 set (like the Separatist Shuttle)? I'd like to see how large it is. 8038 The Battle of Endor uses that technique too.
  16. The guys at Mostly Bricks found Luke's Landspeeder at a Walmart in Houston, Texas! Luke and Obi-Wan do have new face prints with pupils, as you can see in their zoomed in pic of the box art. Also, it looks like the sandtrooper uses the same curved pauldron design as Palpatine in the Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser set (goodbye to the old one!). They'll be posting a review on their site on Christmas Eve - I can't wait!
  17. Aww, I didn't win. Oh well, better luck next year! Hopefully the prizes will be even better! *hint* *hint* And congratulations to the 72 winners! I can't wait to see the prizes! EDIT: Changed the word to 'prizes' to prevent any spoliers
  18. Thanks for this detailed review _Shaddow_! For a $25 set, this set looks pretty good! It makes a great action figure for kids, and would go well with Construct-a-Zurg. I don't really like how the elbow section is an L shape instead of being straight, but that's fine. It's spectacular how TLG is listening to our feedback by finally printing some parts again! They could easily have just made stickers for the slopes and tile, but they decided to step it up a notch! I just love the claw grabber alien minifig! It looks too cute with the three eyes! It's unfortunate how his head is made and printed in China, though. I have a Squidman and a Sulfurix (both made in China), and some printing has scratched off one of their eyes (Squidman) and on the rock printing on the body (Sulfurix). Oh, and Chris (Reasonably Clever) has a hilarious picture involving this set:
  19. By browser he means the program you use to browse the internet. Some examples of a web browser are Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox. Also, Windows and Macintosh are operating systems. I'm one and a half years younger than you but I know this stuff (I'm not an expert either)!
  20. The quality of the plastic for the minifigs isn't extremely horrible, but still pretty bad when compared to normal minifigs. Usually the minifig head and torso print have a dull finish to them, the capes are thinner, and the joints are a bit stiff. However, the flaws of the plastic aren't only just what I listed. My silver stormtrooper magnet set has a very loose hip-torso connection (the hip and legs assembly separates from the torso very easily), loose helmet, and there is a dull shine to the minifig head. I also have a Count Dooku from a magnet set with a torso print that is very low on his torso (the flesh print is about 1/16 of an inch below the top of the torso, but it's very noticable). EDIT: One more thing - my Mace Windu (from the same magnet set as Count Dooku) has a neck pole that is a bit large for the head, so the head is very hard to turn/pull off and has stress marks on the lower section.
  21. Wow, these sets are looking good! 7569 This looks like another non-Star Wars themed battle pack! Unfortunately it looks like one of the minifigures is just a skeleton, but the cool new parts/colors (tan bush, minifig claw pieces) and minifigs make up for it. 7570 This set doesn't look that large, but the ostriches make up for that. And is it just me, or is there a new brown accessory on the weapons rack to the right? 7571 This looks to be the most interesting out of all the four sets (in my opinion). The minifigs look great, especially the one with the gold armor and helmet. The camel looks much better than the preliminary models, and I like how it can hold two crates on the saddle! Also, it looks like there's a red cloth piece for the awning (usually we get brick-built ones instead)! 7572 Not sure what to say about this set, since it's not that interesting to me. However, the minifigs do look very detailed, especially the guy holding the dagger. Although I know nothing about PoP, I can't wait for these to be released! Maybe the skeleton was an assassin when he was still alive.
  22. Thanks for the find mutley! All the sets look (from what we can see) fantastic! I can't wait to see more pictures/videos. Actually, that's a chair that Grievous sits on (in the TV series) to get repaired by his droid, not the droid itself.
  23. You can see a larger picture of the mini Neptune Carrier set on Unknown User2596's Flickr photostream. Looks awesome for a mini set! It'll go well alongside the actual set.
  24. Thanks for the review Matn! I thought that this was going to be an overpriced set because of the piece count, but after reading this, it looks like a great deal! The shark minifig is perfect (I love the printing ) and the underwater pirate diver has a useful head print. The sticker on this set look very good! I like the vents with bubbles coming out. The flick-fire harpoons also make the set look much better, along with those new black turbine/propeller pieces. Hopefully I'll have enough leftover from my budget to get this set - the shark minifig is too good to pass up (If there was a manta warrior minifig instead, I wouldn't get this)!
  25. Thanks for this review KimT! This set is spectacular! The dual-sided Anakin head prints are awesome, and it's great to get a new facial expression. I also like how he has a printed insignia on his hood and his torso! Thi-Sen looks great! There's lots of detail on him! The actual vehicle looks very accurate to what it's modeled after, and the stickers do add to the set. I don't like how the sides have STAMPs (stickers across multiple pieces), though. I was hoping that TLG would stop doing that. I'll definitely be getting this set. It's a great deal for $25 USD!
