    City 2010

3211 LEGO Truck looks very interesting. Pretty cool how TLG decided to provide us with a truck that delivers minifigure scaled brick bucket sets to minifigs!
  2. Wow, the Portal of Atlantis (or, as the box says, "US Productnam" ) looks amazing! Lots of cool stuff like the gigantic shark's head, stone shark statues, and the Aqua Raider diver skeleton (hooray for hints to past themes )! I'll definitely have to get this if it ever goes on sale. Svelte already linked to them in the previous page.
  3. Yay, clear preliminary pictures! I don't have much to comment on the Clone Turbo Tank, Slave I, Plo Koon's Starfighter, and Hoth Wampa Cave, but the CTT looks a bit colorful on the inside and Boba Fett and Bossk both look spectacular! General Grievous' Starfighter looks very large with 454 pieces! I love the look of Nahdar Vebb, but will wait for closer pics of Grievous before commenting on him. I'm not so sure about EV-A4-D, though. It looks like he has a new torso piece that has a "neck pole", but he looks pretty inaccurate. Also, if his face isn't printed, it would be horrible! I like Darth Vader's torso print, it really makes it look like he was badly burned. I don't really like the overall look of Palpatine's Shuttle though. The medical droid looks very cool, but the ship itself seems a bit colorful with the mix of white, both shades of bley, dark red, and dark tan. Also, it's great to get piece counts on the boxes so we know the approximate price of each set. Now I really can't wait for even closer pics than these and videos showing the features of each set at the New York Toy Fair!
  4. Oops, I almost forgot! Happy birthday to our favorite Sith moderator! Hope you get increased force powers and LEGO! And there's still about three hours left of your birthday over here, so I'm not late!
  5. Go the exclusives section of the site or click here. For some reason searching for the set or looking in the Creator theme doesn't yield any results...
  6. Wow, the middle floor looks great! Also, a quote from LEGO Shop: Seven minifigs! So apparently the ground floor is a clothing department, the second floor is a housewares department, and the top floor is the toy department (complete with toy house and push scooter)!
  7. Thanks KimT! Now I have accumulated three tags in a period of just one month!
  8. The most difficult LEGO set I've ever build has got to be the Technic Hailfire Droid. You build one section of the wheels, then you turn the page and it shows "2x"! Each wheel build very lengthy, so it's really frustrating that you have to make two exact copies of the same thing.
  9. Today I bought: 852748 Pirates Coin Bank for $10, normally $20 (stay tuned for a review!) 6193 Castle Building Set for $5 USD, normally $10 (there might be a review of this in the future) 7567 Traveler for $3.50 8072 Sea Jet for $3.50 8073 Manta Warrior for $3.50
  10. KimT, can I get my tag? Today's my one year anniversary on Eurobricks! 1700 posts (now it's 1701 ) one year membership as of today 31% of posts are in the LEGO Star Wars forum
  11. My brother has a Transformers Risk board game that he got from a cousin. I can take a picture of the board if you need some inspiration. There's a couple of sliding and rotating pieces that are on the board, too. You should try putting features like that into your board to make it more interesting (by using pieces like bricks with grooves and turntables). Good luck on your endeavor!
  12. That looks very intimidating! I like the usage of purple parts from current sets (Ambush in Cairo, Smash 'n' Grab, Construct-a-Zurg), and it complements your Okymobile very well. I also like how you got Zurg to fit in without removing his capes or anything!
  13. Wow! I love the progress on your city. The interior of the house is very detailed, and you put lots of foliage all over the city! My favorite part has got to be your LEGO Store. You even got the signature giant 2 x 4 red brick! I'll have to make an accurate LEGO Store of my own some day!
  14. Huw from Brickset has another tidbit of info from the UK Toy Fair: Interesting. It'll be great to get a vampire, and I wonder what the pattern on the maracas look like - yet another awesome accessory! Can't wait for the revealing of the other 14 minifigs!
  15. Check cagri's post for price estimations. Oops. I meant to say that we might finally get the other Weasleys.
  16. I agree! If Quidditch Lesson includes 5-6 minifigs, that'll be phenomenal (since it's rumored that the set will be $11 USD)! Dobby's Release sounds interesting, especially since Huw says that we'll be getting a flesh version of Dobby! Also, The Burrow sounds very good! I always like asymmetrical things, and this probably won't disappoint! Also, we might finally get some of the other Weasleys! Can't wait for the Toy Fair! EDIT: Oops, I messed up one of my sentences.
  17. Wow, really? Which store did you find it at? Target?
  18. I'm not completely sure, but one way may be through PAB grab bags in LEGO Stores (different than the PAB walls). They're $8 USD bags that weigh exactly one pound, and usually have parts from some sets and some random pieces. I saw one with an almost complete Tiny Turbo racer (just no wheels), which is worth $5 alone! Also, if you look in this Flickr discussion, someone found the parts to a whole Winter Toy Shop distributed in between three bags - that's $24 for a $60 set! EDIT: Forgot the link!
  19. Thanks for this detailed review def! I'm not a fan of Technic sets, mostly because of how complicated they are. They also hurt your fingers when disassembling them! However, your review has made this set look very interesting. I just love the push-to-unfold nose, very cool. And that alternate model speeder bike is amazing! Too bad we don't get alternates anymore (in non-Creator or Technic sets). For a 2000 set, this looks awesome!
  20. When I read the title of this topic, I thought of cheese slopes in an instant. They're used in almost every set, and are just too cool! I also get very happy whenever I find that a set that I just purchased includes a couple of cheese slopes. I rarely feel this way for any other common building piece (not accessories).
  21. Well, since you said that you can't upload pictures, why not click the tutorial with the words "how to upload images" (then check this tutorial on how to deeplink photos)? Always make sure that you resize the pics before uploading them, though.
  22. This is progressing very nicely! I love the use of 1 x 2 plates for the side wall! The color inconsistency and gaps between the pieces makes it look realistic. The building is looking accurate to its real life counterpart, and those dark red fire trucks are spectacular! Very pleasing to the eye. Lots of small details scattered around (I already mentioned this on Flickr ), but my favorite has to be the chrome bumpers! Chrome pieces always look great on everything, though. Looking forward to the next update! EDIT: Changed it's to its.
  23. That happens all the time, probably a monthly maintenance or something. No need to worry, the files will probably be back up in a day or two.
  24. Great modifications you got there! I've always wanted a LEGO AT-AT (AT-ATs are one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles) with a troop bay, but one that's not too elaborately detailed. This is perfect! If we are getting a minifig scale AT-AT this year, hopefully it will have an interior similar to this!
  25. This week's episode was okay. I didn't like most of it, but I just loved Tera Sinube's lightsaber hilt, which the handle of his cane. Probably the coolest hilt I've ever seen! Also, those security droids were awesome! I always like seeing non-battle droid robots in the series. I wouldn't mind seeing every new character immortalized into LEGO form! Cool, thanks for the link! I always like watching those behind the scenes videos.
