  1. I remember reading somewhere that almost all of the new molds are one-off exclusives to the Minifigures range only and will not make it to the normal sets.
  2. Thanks for the review CopMike! Really cool how we get a new length of lightsaber blade - now we have lots more customizing options for lightsabers! I love all of the new molds we get here! Three-long lightsaber blade, ray gun, white Space Police helmet, and 3 x 4 tile with studs in the middle row; what more could you want?
  3. Cool board game ISC! I like how you incorporated the movement squares into the natural-looking environment. The same goes for the snakes and bone ladders.
  4. Looks like I was wrong about the white Boba Fetts only being available to the VIPs! News on FBTB: EDIT: Comment removed - it was late in the night and I didn't mean what I posted (see below quotes)
  5. Thanks for the review Bricknave! Looks like a great mini set with lots of greebles and useful parts! I might be going to LEGOLAND in April and will order a subscription to BrickMaster if I do go (for the free admission ticket with an adult purchase), so this will be a great bonus.
  6. Actually, the picture sizes are already the larger version. You can tell it is because if you change it to the smaller version, the pic gets smaller. Interesting...not sure if I like it, though. His face looks odd when compared to the 2009 version. I do agree that it fits in with the 2010 sets, though. By the way, is this the 2009 magnet set Darth Vader, except purchased in 2010? Great find! I won't be getting it at normal price when it comes out, but since it includes Kit, I might just have to if it goes on sale or if Borders has a good coupon.
  7. I bought two of each of the Star Wars Easter polybag sets today ($3.50 USD each).
  8. The Target in the NewPark Mall, Newark (in California) finally came through for me today! The Fremont Hub Target (my most favorite Target) didn't have any of these, but the NewPark Mall one did! I picked up two of each; one pair to open, and one pair to keep mint. (There were about 15+ of each set at the NewPark Mall Target, by the way)
  9. I already noticed the 2010 version of The Brick when the 2009 annual report was posted by Front, but forgot to start a topic about it. I requested one copy of each, mostly because I'm interested in reading anything LEGO related. Hopefully they'll arrive soon!
  10. Neat, thanks for the review Oky Wan! It's unfortunate how there are still printing discrepancies between the keychains/magnets and the normal minifigs (most notably the green instead of lime colors on Buzz's hips and legs and how the red and white pattern on the wings goes over the molded line). However, I will still purchase the magnet set and maybe the Jessie keychain since I do not plan on getting any of the currently available Toy Story sets except for Army Men on Patrol. Those minifigs look too cool to pass up, even if they are still lower quality! Also, I like how Andy's wallpaper pattern (the clouds in a sea of blue) are on the packaging for the magnet and keychains! Looks much better than just a one color background. There's another way to open blister packs like these - all you need is an Exacto knife or something similar. You cut the plastic part near where it meets the cardboard, then you can pull out the minifigs without even damaging the packaging! (I can post a pic if what I'm saying isn't clear)
  11. I don't think so, at least not for me. My CW Mace Windu magnet set minifig's head is very tight on the neck pole of the torso. So tight that there's a white stress mark on the lower part of the head (I can try to take a picture of it tomorrow if you want). Also, if you look at the top of the minifig heads, the molding marks are much larger than the ones you see in regular minifigs. The good thing though is that TLG seems to have rectified the bad quality in the 2010 magnet sets.
  12. I've circled in yellow the extra part in one of your pictures: It's not really significant and does not change much on the model, but I thought that I'd point it out.
  13. Lovely bank Batbrick! I don't know much about the Batman universe, but I can instantly tell that this is a Gotham building just by the interior and exterior details. I like the amount of detail you added into this MOC! Cool tiling and stud mixture for the floors - having the tiles on the same height as the plates really makes it look much better than it would have if you just slapped on a couple of tiles on top of the plates. You've also added everything a bank would have - ATMs, a huge safe (well, no one actually knows how large or how many the safes there are ), bulletproof glass teller windows, and more! Also, it's neat how you made the set so playable! (No back, removable walls, and modularity) That's why I like pie! (It rhymes )
  14. We have the pinned topic for anything related to sorting or storing LEGO. Currently I don't sort my loose parts at all. They go in one medium sized tub! I'll probably start sorting as my collection grows, though.
  15. What an breathtaking MOC! I can't even think of what to say. The vehicle looks very cool in dark red, and the greebles and stickers add a whole bunch to the MOC.
  16. Thanks for the small review WhiteFang! I think that this is a great start to the Atlantis theme (although, you can say the same thing for every other impulse set ). You get a fully equipped diver minifig with some very detailed printing, and a neat little vehicle to go with him! Much better than the Manta Warrior set, IMO (the manta warrior is very cool, though). Oh, and I'd like to point out that you placed an extra piece onto the sea jet. See that 1 x 1 light bluish-grey round plate that the light (the black plate, not sure what to call it) is on? That's not supposed to be there. I also messed that part up when I first built the set.
  17. I bought 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter for $19 USD (normally $25) at Walmart.com. The good thing is that there's free site-to-store shipping!
  18. Interesting topic! I myself limit my large set purchases to only one or two themes. This year, it's probably going to be Star Wars and Harry Potter (I'm extremely excited that it's returned! ). I personally count any set above $20 as a "big set purchase", because of my limited budget (I tend to spend about $400-$500 per year on LEGO). With all the other themes, I usually only buy the impulse sets and possibly the $10 or $20 sets (I'll probably be doing that with Prince of Persia).
  19. Thanks for the link!I'll definitely pick one up the next time I go to the LEGO Store.
  20. Thanks for the review dieselboy! As I said in my PM, where did you find it? It looks very cool and I would love to have one for myself.
  21. Another stunning MOC Svelte! :oh: The offset on the tiled roof makes it look very cool, and the details like the foliage growing on the walls and the small amount of red roofing above the gate make the overall building much better. I also see you found another use of the army men bases. Any chance we'll see the interior soon?
  22. Amazon and Walmart have the Droid Tri-Fighter on sale in the US for $19, normally $25! See FBTB for more info and to use their referral links: FBTB thread (Also, the TIE Defender is on sale for $45, normally $50)
  23. I personally hate the 1 x 4 antenna's grip on whatever you stick the bar in. For example, the mini V-19 Torrent: See those two engine parts? Those are the 1 x 4 antennas. You have to push each through two 1 x 1 plates with clip lights, and it's extremely hard to take off if you leave the model built for a long period of time. I would recommend using a rubber jar opener (it's just a thin piece of rubber) for situations like Clone O' Patra's Ron Weasley torso one. It actually works very well! Why not send it to me so I can separate them for you?
  24. I would like it if you could link my picture back to my photostream or at least credit me. (And I would appreciate it if you do the same on the silver C-3PO topic)
  25. Since this topic is (supposed to be) about typos in the forum names, I thought I'd point out that name of one of the forum groups (not sure what to call it) reads "Website, Frontpage and Lego General", with "LEGO" not fully capitalized.
