  1. Haha, funny picture you got there, Oky Wan. Adding Gary was a nice touch.
  2. Great find just2good, and thanks sooo much for the box art stitching endeavor, Oky Wan! (Now you know how tedious it is ) Twitch looks very cool, and I love how the minifigs have different expressions and dirt printings on them! Unfortunately it means I won't be able to get the "regular" versions of the minifigs, but I don't care since it's excellent that TLG would actually go to the extent of making the minifigs look as close to what they probably will look like in the upcoming movie. Oh, and by the way, the price of the set is $44.99 USD according to TRU. Not really sure if it's that good of a deal, but I'll wait for more pictures or a review before making up my mind. There's so many amazing sets coming out this year! It's probably just the lighting - I compared the green to my Squidman minifig and my brick separator, and my minifig and brick separator are both much darker than the green in the picture.
  3. Thanks for taking your time to compile all this information! Before reading this article, I only knew about the modern day numbering of normal sets (0000-9999) and the numbering of BrickMaster sets (I used to think that this was the whole 2XXXX range), promotional polybagged sets (30000's), and seasonal sets (40000's). Thanks again for the interesting read!
  4. The alien mini ship looks great! Hopefully it'll be widely available so we can all make our own claw machines. Actually, the 3XXXX range of sets seems to be for (most) promotional polybagged sets. The 2XXXX range seems to be for BrickMaster sets.
  5. Interestingly, episode 15 is already up on watchtheclonewars.com! I didn't even know. EDIT: Thanks sok for pointing out that episode 16 is a fake on the website - I've changed what I posted.
  6. Very interesting story, clean and crisp pictures, and stunning MOCs! You've really outdone yourself pedro! I especially like how you used modules to work with just one base piece - I didn't even know that the ground and buildings were the same until you showed us at the end! Good luck in the contest!
  7. Wow, thanks for the pictures whung! The garbage truck set looks amazing! I love the dark green container, and the great thing is that it comes with Jessie! Now I don't even need to get the keychain. And Twitch looks awesome! The Pizza Planet truck and the dump truck look even better now, especially with the printed minifigs! One step ahead of you!

    Pie Day!

What's this? A topic all about me? You shouldn't have! (This is similar to what happened to MetroiD ) Just kidding - Happy π Day! I'm guessing that you (Jar Jar) found out because of what was in my sig and what I ended my posts with? For the record, my favorite pie is apple. Nothing beats the classic flavor! Oh, and Google has a cool new logo made just for Pi Day: Ooh, great thought. Bring on 3.1415! Have a great π Day! (Just wondering, which font for Pi do you guys think looks better? π or π?)
  9. I don't think that we're going to get a Jedi shuttle; set number 8134 is a Tiny Turbo made in 2007 - TLG would never reuse a set number in just a 3 year period! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  10. I always love reading your detailed posts! This one is very informative, thanks for sharing Have a great Pi Day!
  11. I've got a question to the people who already went to TRU and got their silver stormie polybag: Do they allow you to buy the polybags separately without buying any LEGO Star Wars sets? I would love to be able to buy 2-3 at $3 each at the store since, unfortunately, I already have the battle packs and I don't want to pay $4 shipping just for polybags (also, Oky Wan pointed out that they're out of stock online). One thing I learned when it comes to items that seem exclusive is to wait - usually they'll be available in larger amounts later on. Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  12. Thanks for the informational review, Rufus! My thoughts on this set are changed slightly from drdavewatford's review - the build model looks a bit better in your pics, but Yoda's head still creeps me out. As others have said, it looks like an excellent parts pack that wouldn't stay built for long in most people's houses. Exceptional pictures as usual! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  13. Great idea Erdy, and fantastic execution of it! I love the look of the storage tower (although it might because of the numerous trans-light blue bricks ), and the concept of Atlantis in space is just very cool. Lots of greebly goodness on all three parts of the MOC (especially the spikes on The Shark's ship!), and excellent use of the Robo Attack egg cockpit! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  14. Thanks for sharing these pics with us Svelte! I especially like the three and four middle floor combos - so much tan! And it's great how you changed the letters on one of the buildings to POSH. For the vote, I chose "don't ever stop" - we need someone to make a 100 story tall GE! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  15. Thanks for the information! I'll definitely have to go and buy something at Toys R Us. And no need to feel ridiculous Oky Wan - I own the magnet set and I feel the same way. EDIT: One interesting thing worth pointing out is that the minifig has a blaster rifle instead of a sniper rifle: Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  16. You should try using a setup that launches the boulder when you press the last moving square down. You could attach one of those strings with two 1 x 1 round plates at the ends to the last square and boulder platform, and find a way to get the last square to be able to be pressed down (maybe something similar to the techniques used on Fighter Plane Attack or Venice Canal Chase). That way you can have even more fun launching a gigantic death boulder at your enemies!
  17. Thanks for the review drdavewatford! I like the black backdrop instead of the usual white - makes it much easier on the eyes! I agree on the fact that sets that are mainly built out of basic bricks are very nostalgic. Building one every once in a while in this specialized parts world can be very fun. When I built the Castle Building Set, it reminded me of my childhood years when I played with a brick bucket's contents all day long. Looks like a very cool set! Yoda's face just creeps me out, but I'll get used to seeing it. Not really much else to comment on, but this set looks like it's a truckload of tan, and I like the gnarled walking stick and the flute thing that hangs on his neck (can someone enlighten me). I actually thought that this review was going to be yours (I keep for getting to read the topic starter's name) when I clicked on the link. Looking forward to reading your review as much as drdavewatford's.

    City 2010

Public Transport's going to be the fan's choice set, eh? Sounds great! Hopefully we'll get a detailed train and station with things like a departure and arrival time schedule, waiting area, that bumpy yellow stuff on the ground (to provide grip so you don't fall into the tracks ) and other realistic stuff. Taxis and a bus that's different than the City Corner one would be nice too I'll post the image of the concept art for convenience: Does anyone think that we'll be getting some baseplates in the set?
  19. Thanks for the funny review as usual Svelte! For $10 USD it does seem pretty bad of a deal, mainly because of the crazy color variation. (I'd also like to point out that my Winter Toy Shop has that problem too) It does look like a neat little set, but I'd rather spend my $10 elsewhere. And the 360 degree spinning head feature is hilarious!
  20. Walmart.com now issued a rollback on a rollback; the Droid Tri-Fighter is $17.54 USD now! Also, Borders has a coupon for 30% off any one item for Border Rewards members - that includes LEGO! Just print out this coupon and go to the kids section of your local Borders to see the selection of LEGO that they have (it's not as much as most stores, but my local Borders has some good stuff). (The Borders coupon expires March 15, so act fast!)
  21. Today I bought another copy of this set for $17.54 USD, with the intent on returning it back to Walmart with the reciept from the first copy of the set I ordered (which arrived today). That means that I'll be able to save an extra $1.50 on top of the $6 I already saved!
  22. Removing legs on newer minifigs isn't as bad as most people say in the first page of posts. All you do is just wiggle the leg on its joint while pulling outward (do not pull downwards at all), and the leg comes off without bending the peg inside. I'm easy?
  23. The minifig isn't even included in the set!(Bricknave used his own minifig in the final pic )
  24. Sorry, I didn't mean what I posted; it was late in the night and I couldn't think of what to type. And thanks for stating that third point Alldarker - I completely forgot that the book was included in those early purchases of the white Boba Fetts. Sorry about not noticing your post when posting what I said.
  25. I would get the Tantive IV, mostly because of the high price to parts ratio for the AT-OT set (14 cents per part instead of the usual 10-11!). Of course, the AT-OT is a very massive set for its price (I've seen it myself in a LEGO Store and it's huge!), but since you already have a copy of it, you wouldn't really need a second one. If you buy the Tantive IV set, you also get a very detailed and exclusive Captain Antilles minifig, and the value of the set may rise in the future because it's the flagship anniversary set. Not to mention, the Tantive IV has all printed parts, while the AT-OT set has a truckload of stickers! I'm not sure whether or not you should get the RAS - it does look very cool, but the height of the interior is way too low. I do like the flick-fire magazine, though. Of course, in the end the decision is all up to you, so good luck!
