  1. Wow! I love the lime green/green/white color scheme. It looks great! Really smooth gas station, and the decals look very realistic. I've faved it on Flickr because of how awesome it is!
  2. 47 miles away?! That's horrible - the closest one to me is less than half a mile away!Your best bet then would be to use the site-to-store shop-n-ship feature at the LEGO Store. There's a computer there that you can use to buy things on shop.LEGO.com and get it shipped to your house FREE (using any other computers won't work, only the store one will). You'll have to wait for the next shipment of Luke's Landspeeders to come in mid-March, but if you really want it, this is probably your best bet. I can't find the online link to more info about this. I remember seeing it before, but I don't know where it is now on LEGO's official website. EDIT: Found it! It's actually called shop-n-ship, and it seems to have turned into the LEGO VIP site... Also, check out the bottom left of the December 2009 LEGO Store calendar (thanks to TooMuchDew): (I had to retype all of this since my browser suddenly stopped responding when I was typing )
  3. Does anyone have any info about whether or not it's they're in Bay Area Targets yet? Also, starstreak found them in a Target in Hawaii: EDIT: Grammar mistake!
  4. Read what I said: If it was going to be also randomly placed in sets, then the Toy Fair VIPs would've gotten a special case to hold the Boba Fett. Hopefully it won't be the next chrome Vader. I hated thinking that I had no chance of ever getting a chrome Vader in my life (I have one now, but that was from correctly answering a question at the LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary event).
  5. This is how the set numbers are organized: set numbers 1-9999 are normal sets set numbers 10000-19999 are exclusive sets set numbers 20000-29999 are BrickMaster sets set numbers 30000-39999 are promotional sets set numbers 40000-49999 are seasonal sets all the six number LEGO products are the "extended line" products like watches, magnet sets, keychains, coin banks, tic-tac-toe sets, chess sets, etc. Not sure what these Racers promos are for. Probably Daily Mirror UK newspaper promos again. I don't really care about these though as they all seem unfinished in some way - whether it be the front bumpers or the weird look of the studs that are showing.
  6. Cute kid, glad that you're getting her started on LEGO! It's really funny seeing her grab bricks from the left side of the bucket and putting them into the right side when both sides are actually connected. Hopefully we'll get another AFFOL to increase the population in 20+ years!
  7. Thanks for the review Inky! I didn't know much about this set, so it was great that you made this! The set looks a bit average for $20, but when compared to a set like Quidditch Practice (the upcoming version), it does seem to be an excellent deal parts-wise. Lots of interesting printed parts, and I like that chimney drop feature! The weird creature-table is cool, too. Overall, if this was released today with updated fleshie minifigs, I would definitely purchase it, thanks to your review!
  8. Nope, the magnet sets are basically keychains without gigantic metal rods impaled into their heads. You can also completely disassemble the magnet set minifigs, where as the hips and headpiece of keychains are glued. The bad thing about both magnet sets and keychains are that they are made of Chinese plastic and have lower quality printing. The Admiral Ackbar magnet set sounds good! Seems to be a cheap(er) way of getting Mon Calamari heads.
  9. Wow! A Pizza Planet truck! The great thing is that it comes with Rex. Now I don't have to worry about not being able to get the Western Train Chase set! EDIT: It comes with Hamm too. Sweet!
  10. Thanks for the review! It really sold me on the set, mostly because of the pics of those stickers. I agree! I don't care at all about the normal Tiny Turbo racers (except for that gold mine of dark blue that is Nitro Muscle ). This pace car is so much more appealing that the other 2009 canister cars. Hopefully more non-racing Tiny Turbo vehicles will be made in the future!
  11. What I meant is that when you click the links on the previous page for the first time, the items are on sale for 51% off. If you click on the link again, the price then changes to only 25% off. If you close your Internet browser and reopen it, then click on the link again, it shows it as 51% off. Hopefully that makes sense.
  12. Huh, I'm noticing something weird. If you click on the links for the first time on your "Internet session," the price shows as 51% off. If you click it another time, the price goes back to 25% off.
  13. I checked the one in the Fremont Hub and the one in the NewPark Mall (Newark). The Fremont Hub is one of the best Targets I've ever been to (and was the one that had both City and Duplo polybags). Usually they have everything all other Targets have, and more!
  14. Thanks for the info! I was wondering why both Targets I went to (I live in the Bay Area too) had City polybagged sets in the Star Wars price tagged spot. Hopefully this will be fixed soon in all the Bay Area Targets so we can get our Star Wars mini X-wings and Republic Attack Shuttles!
  15. I found lots of the two City polybagged sets at the two Targets I visited - both were placed in the section that was reserved for the LEGO Star Wars polybags. The first one I visited (this one is the best Target I've even been to) had the Duplo sets, too. They're $3 and you get either an animal or a farmer figure and three 2 x 2 bricks. I did pick up one copy of each City set, and they're great! If you combine Police Boat with 5612 Police Officer, you get a really cramped two person boat with lots of hi-tech stuff all over the place. Unfortunately the Star Wars sets were nowhere to be found. Hopefully the stock will change in a couple of weeks. The two City sets ($3 each) were: 30002 Police Boat (released in the Daily Mirror, a UK newspaper, in 2009, but officially released in 2010): 30010 (actual name is unknown): The randomized Duplo set (not so random since you can see through the bag) was set number 30060, but currently no BrickLink catalog exists. I'll try to upload pics later, since I'm currently very busy.
  16. I bought one of each of the LEGO City Easter polybagged sets (30010 and 30002) at Target today for $3 USD each. Unfortunately the two Targets I went to had no LEGO Star Wars polybagged sets, the ones that I was looking forward to getting. They has a section for them, but they were both filled with the LEGO City sets. Hopefully they'll have the Star Wars ones in stock in a couple of weeks...
  17. Wow, those stands look great! Really useful for displaying cruisers and other things of the sort. It should be able to hold if you use two or three, not sure about one though as it says that it can only hold two pounds.
  18. Wow! I love your city. It's one of the best city displays I've ever seen! The Pink Florist is great! Lovely use of two shades of pink, and it just seems to work on the Green Grocer design! Also, congrats on getting a Max minifig! I love it when people place easter eggs like that in their displays. Speaking of which, are you planning on adding some funny scenes or easter eggs in your city? Can't wait for the next update! It's really enjoyable to see the progression of your city.
  19. Unfortunately the price of the book has already risen from about $3.50 to $5.84 USD. Still cheap, but a bit disappointing as I was thinking about buying it a month of so before the release. Hopefully the price will drop back to 50% off... There's also an English version of the book with the shark minifig:
  20. Yay, higher resolution pics! Thanks for the info! Great to know that Lotso's Dump Truck comes with three minifigs and not two. Also, we already know what the Trash Compactor set looks like thanks to Toys 'R' Us Canada's website.
  21. Happy birthday Ras! Hope you get lots of LEGO Star Wars related items and more! Happy birthday Rayman! Keep up the good decal work! And since you're both Star Wars fans, I'll post two Star Wars cakes! (Thanks Google Cake Shop! ) I especially like Siegfried's initialized version of "Ras"! (Replenishment At Siegfried)
  22. Wow! Only about $3.50 each...that's like an impulse set! Free shipping too! But the question we're all dying to hear the answer to is: is the quality of the plastic normal or Chinese?
  23. The new server seems slightly faster! Thanks for improving the EB experience!
  24. Over 140 stickers in 8154 Brick Street Customs, picture courtesy of starstreak: I think that I've taken the lead! Always remember that Racers sets have humongous amounts of stickers. EDIT: Medium sized sticker sheets include: 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull 10188 Death Star 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT
  25. You might want to check out this handy dandy stud converter site. I also remember that there was a topic on this stuff. I'll go and find it... EDIT: Here it is!
