  1. John McClane would have approved! Thanks for your kind words. It really is amazing how much difference a little bit of heat and a little bit of pressure can make -- that sounds strangely familiar to the pitch I once made to my first GF....
  2. I like the design of Thor's torso print. The main issue is that there should have been more Gold highlighting (which would also have helped it differentiate from the previous Avengers Thor fig).
  3. The complaint about the printing on QS legs is simple. There are none. And yes, he has patterned legs as others have posted. He's not simply wearing black pants: Another profile pic: There are a few key takeaways from this raw footage shot: 1) The designs on his pants are clear and unmistakeable 2) If the final version has him simply wearing "black pants" they would not have gone through the painfully obvious efforts of designing these pants 3) Ergo, even without seeing the post-production final version, we know for a simple fact that there is clearly a design there (and TLG would have been aware of this design). Quicksilver AoU Figurine Frankly, I feel like whenever possible (as a default) there should always be leg printing on a licensed fig. But back to the point, yes there should have been printing on QS legs.
  4. Still disappointed no leg printing... I mean if they can give Carnage arm, leg and feet printing, they could throw in for some leg printing on QS.
  5. Why, what happens if you touch bootlegs?
  6. Thanks, necessity being the mother of invention!
  7. Totally agree. Very disappointed. Yes, in short, MARVEL / Disney has no incentive to market FF stuff. There is a dedicated "Future Marvel Super Heroes" thread that you can discuss further here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105704&hl=future
  8. Thanks! Simple hair dryer should suffice to give it enough play.
  9. Thank you very much, I will definitely check this out!
  10. Thanks for your comment. This is a great point that never occurred to me until now. Perhaps the ideal way to do this is to cut up the shape and then apply modeling clay...
  11. Hello, I am reaching out to the MOC community for everyone's opinion on the best molding materials / clay? I have done a bit of research and understand that some of these names are the most popular / mentioned: - Sculpey (but so many different variants?) - ProCreate - Green Stuff - FIMO Question / Advice: - My goal is to create / mold a custom hair piece for Scarlet Witch as pictured here: I'd like to attach it to an existing LEGO hair piece (the one pictured above -- over right shoulder) Any suggestions as to which molding clay would work best? (I am a beginner!) Thanks!
  12. Thanks Wow. I don't think I have ever seen that before, is this the first time for a LEGO fig? I really, really hope that this is the new trend. Perhaps it's a strategy to differentiate from Bootleggers? Either way, it's awesome.
  13. Thanks for those links. Do you have a link to the Sandman / Chima piece you are referring to?
  14. Thank you for the pics! Which MARVEL figs did you like the best?
  15. Agree with most of these points. Drooling over those Ant-Man figs. and the Carnage set looks like a must. Sandman and Rhino are huge disappointments for me. I'm glad I have my stand alone MOC versions of those figs. Green Goblin is a bit cartoonish, but I love it.
  16. All the figs look great -- especially looking forward to Quicksilver, Baron and Vision.
  17. Looks fantastic. Why does it have Yellow hands? Does the official version have Yellow hands as well?
  18. Thanks! Happy to do it. I've got a few more MODs detailed in my Flickr photostream that I will try and post later.
  19. [MOD] Thor's Helmet So ever since I laid eyes on TLG Hawkman's (DC) new helmet, I knew I wanted to make this MOD / MOC. Build details: • First order of business was to bend / mold the "wings" back as much as possible without causing any irreparable damage. Those familiar with the MCU helmet know the wings do not flare out on the sides, but lay "flatter" to the helmet. • With a bit of trial and error, I got the wings as best as I could manage. I suppose I could have tried to fold back a tiny bit more, but I was getting worried that it was starting to damage the folds (there was a slight bit of visible "whitening" at the joints when I stopped -- no tearing -- these suckers are made of strong stuff -- but nonetheless decided to stop while I was ahead). • Next was to Dremel the face plate to remove the "mask" and then to shave / smooth down the inner sides. This took a bit of "eyeballing", trial and error. It's not 100% symmetrical, but about as good as I'm gonna get. • Finally, a nice coat of metallic Silver paint -- and boom -- done. Final Version: “Whosoever wears this helmet, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.”
  20. I'm curious as to how the "crossover" Sets will be handled for Spider-Man.
