  1. Yeah, JB's reviews are great because they give such an early glimpse, but they're not entirely thorough. Like in this one with the Queen of Hearts, you can almost see that there's a second face, but then he doesn't adequately flip down her collar and keeps his finger over the face the whole time! Oh well...
  2. A bit sad this thread died off. Maybe people rarely go in this section anymore. I've gotten some good finds on Facebook Marketplace over the last year or so: - that Jurassic World T-Rex skeleton set for $10 (AUD) - Nexo Knights 72002 and 72003 for $30 - and elsewhere, Ninjago Temple of the Endless Sea brand new for $60 (Australian RRP was originally $180 I believe)
  3. Nobody has mentioned JB Spielwaren's video of the CMF, or have I missed it? My key takeaways: - Pinocchio indeed has a standard Minifigure head with a moulded nose, and the hat hair is separate - Pocahontas has arm printing (as I'd previously missed) - The kid from Coco has an alternate head and hair, very confirmed. He also has arm printing (not sure if that was previously known or not) - I love Tiana's hair even more! Wonderful little curls down either side. - I don't like either of Milan's faces. There's just something quite off about them. Mulan is one of my favourite Disney movies though, so I'll probably still get her and replace the head. - Excellent sleepy face on Aurora

  5. Ha ha. That looks nothing like LEGO even. I'll delete the image not because it's a leak, but because it's obnoxious.
  6. Alright, this is getting into a straight up MCU discussion and not a LEGO discussion. Let's drop it now please.
  7. Ooh Merida's orange wig recolour of the Sigourney Weaver Ghostbusters hair has finally been added! (OOS for now) I've been wanting that piece for a long time and always bummed it wasn't available for purchase.
  8. People like this? I see a couple of good figures with a big grey blob for a heck of a lot of money. That darksaber piece is a completely weak effort - hard to be conclusively sure but it looks to me like the white rim line is just lighting, and this pieces should have had some crackling white printing or dual moulding along it. I also call complete BS on LEGO continuing to use the standard lightsaber hilt here, as the darksaber hilt looks nothing like any other lightsaber. They may claim "it's charming for all LEGO lightsabers to have the classic part" - except of course Dooku and Ventress, whose hilts, just like the darksaber, look nothing like and are a different shape from other hilts.
  9. What do you mean? People have been talking about these sets for a long time, including the sets turning up on shelves. Sets found/bought legitimately in a store don't constitute leaks, if that's what you mean.
  10. While most people are concerned discussing the sets that haven't been or aren't going to be revealed or released, the lost tomb set has a legitimately fantastic price - even in Australia, it's only $60 RRP!! With a typical 20% sale (and more if you want longer), that a real steal. I'm looking forward to picking that one up.
  11. Given the number of entries this time, I am changing course with the voting slightly since the single vote method might not be suited. It's now going to be vote for your three favourite entries. @Yoggington @Mandalorianknight @RedHoodPug @MstrOfPppts @Murdoch17 @CDKiii apologies for the change - can you please amend your votes to include three.
  12. It's definitely happened here in Australia before that a store mixes up the prices for two new releases. Our Australian Kmart did that when they first added the Beauxbatons Carriage and Graveyard Duel sets from Harry Potter - $29 for the Carriage and $79 or whatever it was for the Duel.
  13. Voting is open! Help us choose the winners!

  15. Has it been marked as In Warehouse the whole time? If so, that means they've packed the order, likely within days of you placing it, but are just waiting to bulk ship it. That's my understanding anyway.
  16. Yes they were. But they're there, and that's exciting.
  17. New parts dropped! Rest of the Football Table stuff! Yes!
  18. There's something about the gaudy colour scheme and general art design of the packaging that I feel like is doing a disservice to the actual sets here. I bet they'll look a lot better in person / in the lifestyle images. Do I see two or three different heads for Ellie? Weird that she doesn't include the dual moulded boots in any set though, when the part already exists. It surely can't add THAT much to LEGO's costs when it isn't even new.
  19. Yes besides those fluke parts from the police dog training set of course. Thanks - I'm eagerly waiting the appearance of all the new Friends hairpieces hopefully (not to mention the exclusive hairpieces from the football table, though it's weird they haven't appeared by now if they're ever going to).
  20. When are parts from January 1 releases tentatively expected to be added? April?
  21. I thought I saw that it was the Temple of Doom Indy minifig variant that was featured on the side.
  22. Yeah I guess, and LEGO's way of seeing if that still interests kids is tying it into a property. The same can be said about original Jurassic Park sets selling because kids love dinos and the source material doesn't matter, but that's more proven in today's market. Yeah but that was a long time ago now, and at a time when LEGO wouldn't have fathomed the type of adult-oriented products that they do now, and how successful they are. Again, I acknowledge that in acknowledging that the Indy movies themselves had super dark violent aspects but were for kids, but things have changed a lot since then. We're talking kids toys in 2023, not in the 80s.
  23. The more I think about it, the more I am surprised that LEGO decided to go the kid-oriented play theme route with Indy this time around at all given LEGO's success with other types of products for the adult-leaning market. The Raiders temple makes great sense (good display piece + fun little play features which adults will also enjoy tinkering with), but why didn't they just do a bunch of diorama/display sets? I really can't imagine kids these days being into Indy enough to support a playtheme. Yes it was children's entertainment, but children's entertainment has changed a lot since then and swung way more sanitised. I'm personally happy about it since I like playthemes and playsets far more than adult-oriented sets, but objectively it strikes me as odd.
  24. It's on their Instagram story. Picture of him with a green check.
