  1. If it's true, why would you not just buy the cheapest one?
  2. Gotta love TLG's continued bogus "Clone Wars 20th Anniversary" celebration. They have barely touched most of the actual films' milestone anniversaries, yet here they are with 2008+ CG Clone Wars related-ish material (ish because the battle pack wasn't even based on actual Clone Wars but Battlefront), marking 20 years since an inconsequential and later retconned web series. I'm not mad at the actual products at all - the Battlepack and getting some popular Clone helmets for the helmet line are great - but it just continues the feeling that the Star Wars design team doesn't really care about specifics. Anyway, nice to see a RotJ helmet for the RotJ anniversary, given that it's something that actually appeared in the movie. Though, why is the whole top section brown? In the very stills features in the box, it's obvious that the whole top section is metallic/silvery.
  3. Great stuff! Not even being a big Superheroes fan, it makes me sad how much excellent material is out there that LEGO is just leaving on the table for dubious reasons. My only constructive comment would be that, apart from the mechs, all these sets look a bit drab. That's not out of character for Batman sets, but LEGO itself might go for a slightly brighter colour scheme for the building in the bat-pods set, for instance.
  4. All of the other colours of that helmet and airtanks have been available (even the orange airtanks exclusive to the book afaik), so they definitely should be.
  5. Four new pieces have been added to both the NA and rest of world PaB sites, but all the NA stuff is still NA only. Weird. I'm waiting for more to be added anyway, like the hairpieces from the Foosball Table and maybe even more January stuff if that gets added in March or so, so hopefully NA only stuff will be released to the rest of the world by then.
  6. Last year also saw the reintroduction of a couple of hair moulds after quite a long time, for no apparent reason. Suddenly Scooby-Doo's Fred hair reappeared after being last seen in 2015 (7 years) and the Dino Tracker hair reappeared after being last seen in 2014 (8 years). LEGO works in mysterious ways sometimes.
  7. We're back with another 12x12 vignette contest! Licensed Cozy Corners Contest February 1 - March 4 2023 Build a 12x12 vignette depicting a character's personal room/space/home. Think Tony Stark's workshop, Indiana Jones' office, a Disney Princess suite, or something entirely from your imagination that would suit a character's place where they go to relax. Thanks to LEGO, one first place winner will get a 120EUR set of their choice, and one runner up will get a 60EUR set of their choice. Contest Entry Rules One entry per Eurobricks member You can join Eurobricks to enter the contest (but we'd like you to stick around!) The contest will run from February 1st 2022 to March 4th 2023. As long as it isn't past 11:59pm on March 4th on Midway Island, you can still enter. To enter, post just one picture of your MOC in the Cozy Corners Contest entry topic. Your MOC must fit within a 12x12 frame but does not have to be on an actual base. No height limit. Your MOC must relate to any Licensed property LEGO has done past or present, excluding Star Wars, and fit the brief of a character's personal place. You don't have to use LEGO's parts/Minifigures from your chosen License, but the property should be clear. (I.e. you can make your own Indiana Jones Minifigure from other LEGO parts, but it should be identifiable as Indy) All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to being entered in the contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO. No clone brands, no third-party custom parts. Physical builds only for this contest. Your photo can be an Instagram post that you post to the entry topic. (You must tag us @eurobricks_official) Choosing Winners After entries close, a voting topic of all eligible entries will be opened for five days. Some back and forth with Eurobricks staff might be required to select an available prize. Prizes could take 8-10 weeks to arrive but we will keep you updated as much as we are able. This is the topic for discussion of the contest. Let us know in the comments if you have any questions. Post your entry in the Entry Topic.
  8. Still missing three of the six shields on the Australian site.
  9. Unless it's down to bad translation, the quote there says a Hogwarts break, not a Harry Potter theme break? But I see absolutely no connection. Dots just like Art (which also did an HP set) is a completely different team and product portfolio. People love to do baseless, speculative doom and gloom. It's a staple of the online fandom. The line is doing what people want (Gringotts) so that means the theme is ending? Yeah right.
  10. It wouldn't be our Bricks & Pieces topic without you making this comment at least once a week.
  11. Oh weird, when I switch over to the US store I see them, but they (and some other things) aren't showing up at all in the Australian site.
  12. Where do you see something to this effect? Yay Mordo hair though, and his head too!
  13. He is banned and all his posts are scrubbed, so there's no point tagging him now. Let's ignore this kind of rubbish and carry on.
  14. Well I got my hands on one of the new 501st Battle Packs (quite exhilarating to find on a mainstream store's shelf here in Australia), and I've got to say... the holes don't look like much of a big deal in person. When you look at really close up images in reviews and videos, the holes make the shape of the helmet look a bit funky, but in person they don't really. That said, the classic visors do look a bit wide - they work enough for Phase I but the visors on Phase II (including Cody's) are way more tapered. The rangefinder is also a little bit weird when folded down at 90 degrees, but not terrible. The worst thing about all of these figures' designs, as many people have said, is the lack of cloth Kama. If they wanted to go printed, they at least needed to commit to printing the side of the legs. As is just looks so lazy. I still can't believe it's up to $20 US (or almost $30 AUD) for these little packs that used to be cheap.
  15. I think if these two waves do well enough, the theme could definitely resurface when the next film comes out, but might not have any releases before then.
  16. I am only unpinning this thread because we have so many pinned threads in Licensed at the moment, and there is no further Avatar LEGO rumoured for now. If any more rumours pop up for 2023, I'll pin the topic again.
  17. From the outset it was known that boxes would phase in for autumn 2023. The first two series this year will be the last in bags. Completely agree with your sentiments, as I'm sure many others do. I won't be buying any more CMF at retail once boxes come in.
  18. Love classic space themes and building spaceships? Well, this is a reminder that we have a Classic Space Spaceship contest going on right now in the Sci-Fi forum, and we're extending the deadline! You now have until Friday 17 February 2023 to submit an entry. Head over to the Sci-Fi forum for the full contest rules and details here. Let us know if you have any questions!
  19. Thanks Scarilian, if you don't mind I'll try to keep the first post updated with your lists going forward.
  20. I would have said the same about the Beauxbatons carriage, and it doesn't even serve as a place where anything happens nor would I have said it has good minifig potential! The Lovegood House could be done one of several different ways, even as a smaller side Dursley house size set just capturing the shape and having a very simplified interior. I would love to see it in conjunction with a Tale of the Three Brothers scene, or just the latter (though I really can't see that by itself).
  21. I was putting the hypothetical out to the forum too, but since LEGO semi-guarantees the quality of its products (which should theoretically last almost forever), this isn't regular wear and tear (bite or play marks etc), and I bought the set myself new when it came out, I think it is kind of fair. My large brown wedges got smashed to bits just taking the set apart, that's how brittle they were. I could theoretically try to rebuild the set with the pieces of them given how they cracked, but they aren't really usable. I never applied the stickers. We're getting well off the actual topic though.
  22. The old reddish brown thing is a real problem. I was recently moving some of my sets and disassembled my Temple of Airjitzu which had been assembled in a display case since I bought it in 2015. Big mistake, as the big reddish brown wedges that make up the floors cracked right to hell. Is it fair to request new ones after all this time? (The piece did come in a 2022 set).
