Yes, overseas things can take a while (though over two weeks seems like a lot to me). Just be patient, and if it hits three weeks since he sent it then start to wonder. The thing is, if he says he sent it, what can you do if it takes a long time? It's unlikely that the postal service will know.

New (10040) and old (6285) Black Seas Barracuda
Clone OPatra replied to funkybrick's topic in LEGO Pirates
The rerelease has printing on both sides of the sails. So if the old one did too, then they're likely exactly the same. -
I quite agree with Big Cam. We've seen in the CW TV show that there are planets where the people live in huts, or have wagons pulled by big beasts. I think as long as it isn't something recognizable as completely human (like a water tower, or a truck, or bank or something), then you can create an odd figure to go with it, give it a backstory in the SW universe, and it's Star Wars. Besides, space ships don't have to be part of a certain faction, so you can create whatever you want and decide. If you want it to be SW, then just give it a SW story.

We've all seen a pic of the prelim Grevious Starfighter, remember? Interesting to note, though, in the link you provided Eterneo, whoever is listing the set information says that the General Grevious figure is damaged and has his faceplate off. I personally don't believe that, but it is an interesting to call. His head does look strange-ish, but that's the way his mask looks. Anybody else got thoughts?

Since the movie is due out in May (or June), I think it's safe to say that these sets will hit around April. Just like when the newest Indiana Jones movie came out in May, the sets tied to it were released around late March/April.

I fully agree with you def. While this set looks to be nicely constructed and has great figures, there's just nothing telling me to get it. I even put the Rebel Trooper Battlepack back on the shelf and decided not to buy it. There's just something about Star Wars right now, that even though the designs are pretty good there's nothing to make me say "Wow!" like the 7666 or 2008 AT-ST pilot did. Excellent review as well, cralegoboy. The impressive wingspan and curvature on this ship make it quite nice, and your crisp photos show it off well.

Now this I just do not believe at all. An Ice Planet figure could not possibly be in the Res-Q helicopter, it's completely impossible. Ahsoka in the shuttle though, I can believe that. The machines cannot be perfect, and there is probably some sort of statistic out there for how often something will go wrong. It is very very unlikely to happen, but I fully believe that mess-ups do happen and insanerobo just happened to be the one lucky guy to find one.

A nice, recognizable representation. And I just watched this movie yesterday! My only gripes would be that yes, those back engines are far too big, and I think the front engine sticks up too far being just stuck on top of the hood plate. Perhaps you could try using sloped pieces around the engine, but the lower it in a bit. Also, does this fit a figure, or is it not minifig-scale? It looks to me that the seat is awfully high up to fit a figure.

You don't look old and fat. And what you're holding looks like delicious all North-American junk, the food we know we shouldn't eat, but is way too delicious to resist!

Slizers - Bionicle - HERO Factory forum?

"Buildable Figure Themes" "Bionicle and Relatives" - (not too serious) "Action Figure Themes" Just some ideas. -
Looks like somebody had the Discovery Space Shuttle! Your spaceship looks very good. Though I think it is a bit big for a fighter, it makes a very well-armed transport-type vehicle. The reason it doesn't look like a fighter to me is because it is so long and bulky, but length and bulk are great for transporters. Does it have an interior?

Oh my gosh what the heck just happened?

I don't understand why LEGO going bankrupt would kill EB. Sure, in the long run there wouldn't be new fans coming around, but I think most of the people on here have another good sixty to seventy years to live, so we could all hold on to our precious hobby until we're a band of old geazers yabbing about something nobody's even heard of anymore. It's like Bionicle, that died, but the true fans will continue the glory.

I think this would fit better in Culture and Multimedia, would it not?

Thanks! The back really is quite different, I like that new one a lot! Yours: From Bricklink:

Thanks for the review, you did a good job showing off the set. It's a bummer that the mouth on the Clone Trooper helmet is so off, it makes him look very funny. BY the way, since the Clone torso is sort of a redesign, would you mind taking a back picture of it? Is the back slightly different from the last EpIII clones?

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy

You are in what? Does that mean "count me in," as in you want to join the Reviewers' Academy? -
He doesn't look too awkward with the hilt in the clip, he just looks better with the blade in the clip instead. And of course I do think all your shots are splendid, just the intro and ending shots are especially superb. You've always been the best at those photoshopped action shots in your reviews (like the zooming starships). It's really a great way to end!

Thanks for the review, this was one of the many small Ninja sets that I got back in the day. I forgot that this set even came with those rocks, all I remember was the carrier. Splendid intro shot and parting shots. Just as a hint, you do know that you can put the blade of the sword in the clip on the Ninja's wrap, and then the sword won't come down so far? I believe this was the way LEGO intended, since it makes the Ninjas look much better from front and back with the handle at the level of their heads and the sword not almost hitting the ground.

The UCS Star Destroyer looks like an impossible hunk of gray to me. Same with the Statue of Liberty, except that the gray is sand green. I like the look of Green Grocer a lot, but I never desired the Cafe Corner because it lacked an interior. Without an interior, it seemed completely lacking to me. Also, I don't know if this was acclaimed, but Majisto's House was a major bummer. I bought it at a convention a few years back, and it just feels a bit lacking. Maybe it's because I was too excited about it.

What, no King Leo's Castle? Blasphemy! In actuality, I own King Leo's Castle (the castle from KK1) and it suck big time. And I passed up the ninja fortress on sale at TRU and bought King Leo's Castle instead. I've been kicking myself ever since. Thanks very much for the lovely article. I only own the Legends Guarded Inn from your list, but I agree with your other choices, though Kings Castle Siege never interested me. I think because it doesn't even have flat base-plates like the original castle, Kings Castle Siege is just a bit spare and I wouldn't want to be constantly standing figs up on whatever surface the castle is on. I hope the new castle in the summer has plates underneath it, though it is most likely that plates won't be included. Perhaps, though, you could have added a Ninja castle? Or does that not count with Castle sets. I have the Emperor's Stronghold, and though it doesn't have much of an interior it has enough and the look is magnificent to me. The Orient Expedition Oriental castle is also a magnificent palace, but I do know why that isn't included here.

Hello folks, after a tiny bit of prompting from Big Cam I decided to post some cold weather shots. I did post a Clones shot pages and pages back, but that was then. First, you probably never knew that clankers on cold planets wore coats, did you? Sometimes even Snowtroopers can get in quite a fix. Now, with this one, I will show the original and a monkeyed-with version. I liked the original because it was dark and dreary, but the second version does look much more sci-fi-y and unrealistic, which I think also looks cool. Which do you like?

Hello Bionicle forum. This is the first time I've ever posted a MOC right to a forum (I entered two contests a while back), but that doesn't mean you should go easy on me. I've never posted any MOCs before because mostly everything I make is really crappy. I think that's just because I haven't figured out how to get really creative with little blocks, but pegs and holes seemed easier, and so a while back I actually made a few Bionicle MOCs that I think are kind of acceptable. Most of you here in the Bionicle forum probably don't know me, and so may be confused that I have made a Bionicle MOC but just about never participate in Bionicle discussions. WHen Bionicle first came out, I got very interested it, buying all the Toa and Turaga, and all the Toa Nuva. I bought one or two of each new canister series for a while (as well as Takanuva and Ussanui which I hope to review here someday, and Makuta), but about three years ago I started thinking all the sets looked pretty similar and I stopped buying them altogether. My last set was a Barraki, which I was very much disappointed with, and I never bought a Bionicle again (although I'm considering getting a few Stars since I have the originals). Anyway, enough backstory. Here is my MOC, a primarily dark blue and silver good-guy. I was never much into the Bionicle backstory, I just liked the sets, so he has no real backstory and no name, but I'd love if you'd like to come up with name suggestions. All pictures are clickable to bigger versions on Flickr. Here he is from the front. He has no eye color so that his head can tilt straight back for flying, more on that later. Back, with wings folded up. That zamor sphere launcher is a bit large, but it adds a play feature for "flying mode." I'm not sure it's a good idea, though. Side. The zamor sphere launcher does stick out quite a bit, as you can tell. Here from the front again but with wings out. "Flying," this is where the Metru eye-color piece couldn't be used, it would restrict his head. I've never shot a Bionicle before, so I wasn't sure what everyone one would want to see pictures of. The following are detail shots of a leg, the side, and the neck connection: Now then, all that's left is to show pose-ability. Even though his arms have no joint in the middle, the length of the blades allows him to fold them up defensively. Since the neck holder is on a pin, it can turn, giving him a wide variety of head positions. Balance is not superb because of the wings and zamor launcher, but as you will see in one shot he can be balanced. Thanks very much for looking, and I value all your suggestions. Don't worry about hurting my feelings, it won't happen, so say what you think. I will try to modify if I agree with suggestions.

The original intent of this topic was just to say that people under 18 shouldn't post as such. Just keep it to yourself and act maturely, don't go around saying "time to go to bed before school tomorrow," "got some biology homework to do, ugh" or "hey, I'm 13." There's never going to be such a real reason to share your age at all, and if you're under the age it says in the rules, you don't need to tell anybody.

brickme's first customized figs
Clone OPatra replied to brickme's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I really like the Stormie helmet, but I must agree with Commander Flash that the execution of these figs is lacking. Your ideas are good, and the patterns you are going for are close, but inking figs for great results requires taking a lot of time and being very careful so that things come out evenly. I don't think you needed so much blue on Rex's helmet, and I don't completely understand the odd stripe on the stormie's leg. Taking more time to do it, you'll definitely improve, so good start!
