  1. Some people are bound to be cooking up some more ideas, as a few of the quests are nearing their ends in another week or so and there'll be an influx of heroes in the hall again. Perhaps you could find someone willing to do combat in the arena, or there is always the library which is full of useful information on past quests and Eubric in general. Sometimes it takes time and if you show continued interest and involvement even when you're not picked, it generally makes you more likely to be chosen for a future quest
  2. Did I miss somewhere that Hopet can heal two targets at once without being hastened, is this a druid thing or just quest specific, or did I miss him taking a smelling salt at some point?
  3. Maybe I should take up being a villain then
  4. OoC: Please ignore my first post of this round, new plan. Skrall holds his gut, trying to staunch the bleeding, the rebel had lost some momentum since Skrall had been standing behind the line, but he had still done damage. "Haldor you'll be fine with an attack, belay my last order but let Hoke deal with the Captain, he more armored and can take the hit. Accompany Jess and clear us some breathing room, just make sure ya don't double team anyone. We need to keep as many of the rebels occupied as possible." Skrall attempted another shot, this time drawing a bead on Rebel G from the back row. Battle Order: Tensi Hoke McColt Rebel A from Front Row Hans Rebel D from Front Row Gaurd Felton Gaurd E from Front Row Rebel Felton Rebel F from Front Row Skrall Haldor Dyric Jess Sir PoleTad Rebel AA from Back Row
  5. Skrall's already actually been married and is currently seperated from his ogress so he's not looking to be on that list anyways, but thanks for your vote Correct, but Dyric also attacked with a ranged weapon, or has this already been gone through in that he automatically switches to a melee weapon when shield is rolled, which if that is the case then he shouldn't need to retrieve his dagger? Other than that, thanks for the clarification on the other questions, now I have to change my strategy.
  6. OoC: If Tensi took special damage, shouldn't we all take 10 damage? Which means Jess is knocked out and we're all pretty low on health. Also, Hoke takes 0 damage from free hits due to his shield and warrior treads, a combined total of SP:7. Also, Dyrics shield should do triple his weapon power plus level for a total of 22 damage and 21 gold since he would then take out Rebel Z. Let me know if this is correct, otherwise I will change my strategy. After taking so many hits, Skrall watches as Jess goes down. "Haldor, ya need to focus on healin' yerself, Tensi's in a full battle fervor, she won't stop at that Captain until she kills him anyways. I'll make sure Jess is taken care of. Feltons, I need ya to revive Jess and give her back health with one of yer potions. Dyric I'd suggest healin' first then fetchin' yer knife." Skrall then drains a Potion from the back row. Battle Order: Rebel Felton Pheonix Essence on Jess from Back Row Gaurd Felton Potion on Jess from Back Row Haldor Tensi Hoke McColt Rebel A from Front Row Hans Rebel D from Front Row Skrall Jess Dyric Sir Poletad Rebel AA from Back Row
  7. This is too wierd, I was just on that site 5 minutes before you mentioned it I came out as an Lawful Neutral Elven Monk/Cleric I've lately been investigating the D&D game play style and I'm glad Heroica went off in a slightly more simplistic vein to make it more accessible to others. Out of curiousity, I know the influx of heroes has slowed comparitively too the beginning, does anyone think a 6-month anniversary frontpage post might bring some more new players in (not to downplay our 5 most recent additions)? I guess my question to everyone is: How did you find out about Heroica RPG or what drew you too it? Personally, I was already a Mafia player and I saw the advertisement and thought it would be fun.
  8. I guess, you can't I was checking if I wanted to keep my tripple shot ability, I could just stay on as a higher level ranger.
  9. Their first quest was either too traumatic, or they saw a foreshadowing of everyone's upcoming doom as it pertains to the veterans and are now drowning their miseries in ale.
  10. Skrall surveys the battle field, and let's out an ogreish roar that had been building inside of him for quite a while. He had had enough of fighting, Wren, Doppler gangers, chaos beasts, and the like, it almost made him wish he were back home with little Irksall on his lap. "Let's finish this, those with shields take out the heavies. Dyric you and me from the back and try and pick off any that are tryin' to flank us. Feltons, Hans, McColt see if ya can break throough the front of their line. The rest of you, make yer blows swift and true, I'm not goin' to let Wren take pleasure from any unnecessary sufferin' and chaos." <Sir Poletad, yer small of stature and should easily be overlooked, try and circle behind 'em and take them from the rear. Keep yer distance though and don't get squashed. By the time this is over, ya'll have made quite a name fer yerself among yer order, I'm sure.> Skrall deftly withdraws a quarrel from his satchel, loads it and lets fly at Rebel E from the rear of the party. Battle Order: Tensi Hoke Jess McColt Rebel A front row Hans Rebel B front row Rebel Felton Rebel C front row Guard Felton Rebel D front row Skrall Dyric Sir Poletad Rebel AA back row Haldor OoC: For my inventory, I shouldn't have a Pheonix Essence, also I'm assuming that we cannot use a smokebomb in this battle otherwise we fail the quest, correct?
  11. I think this is true, but correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but after a player reaches lv. 15 and return to the hall, they don't have to pick an advanced class correct? Also, one more new mage and one more new knight, and we'll have a whole party of Lv. 1's ready for a quest. it's always nice to see some new faces occupying the hall. Since I can't do it there since I'm currently questing, welcome to all of you new players, some of you have done some great roleplaying thus far, and I can't wait for Skrall to make it back. I'm with you Zepher, so many people to meet and so few quests to do it.
  12. I would say another thinking outside the box quest would be fun to see, but as Brickdoctor's current quest has shown, doing it with a group can be time consuming, since you're waiting for agreement from people in different timezones. I think the individual setup may go quicker since you can answer actions from players as soon as they are made, however this may give an unfair disadvantage to those who are only able to check in on the quest once a day, as compared to some of us who are on EB multiple times. Also, perhaps this would be a question better suited for the Quest Masters Lounge?
  13. Thanks for the feedback, I didn't participate as much in the Day 2 and 3 threads, because most of the arguments had already been presented by the time I logged on, so I know it wasn't alot to judge on, but I'm glad I proved at least slightly useful to the town and a threat to the scum. I am curious as to the reasoning of why I was blocked on night 1, when Flitwick had already claimed as role cop, I would have thought he would be a better target, or were the scum afraid of being watched?
  14. This is why you don't give you're character amnesia, one minute yer a top of the line hero, the next yer reduced to a defeated head gaurd who has to give all his loot to his former questmates as penance for his "wicked" deeds.
  15. Looking real good I really like Sting over the fireplace. I was a big fan of your "Rise to the Wicked" series and I'm glad to see such great quality in your next project. I can't wait for your next addition. My only qualm is the 6x1 tan arch over the window, I would think that a 1x4 with 1x1 bricks on the side would look better from the inside of the house, but other than that, it looks great
  16. I say Scubacarrot get's XP for good roleplaying
  17. Skrall was pondering trying to understand the situation, "Tensi, yer intimidation may be in need in a moment." Skrall turns to the two Feltons, "Now wait a moment, I may not be the sharpest frog on the lily pad <no offense Sir Poletad> but I think we're all fallin' for the witches hocus pocus. Now both of ya want to see Wren stopped right? That's why we're fightin' this war right? Then what's stoppin' us from workin' together to put a stop to her?"
  18. The Southern Dwarf Clans of Kaliphlin Guild have informed me that they are sending their representative to the games. His name, I'm told, is Varin Sandbeard and he has won many a prize in the fighting arenas of his people and now seeks new excitement and thrills in the gladiator games of the Drow. -Captain Hardiel
  19. You can take away one extra hit by targetting two enemies, but when you are facing upwards to 25 enemies, you are going to take twice as many free hits as the rest of your party. Smelling Salts are great if you have a shield or you're only slightly outnumbered, but they can backfire when used in all out wars.
  20. I was disappointed that Tensi, Haldor, Dyric, and I weren't going to have a chance to take Vonnetate hostage (hence the whispering earlier) and bring him into the town as a sign of good faith, but this is just as good
  21. I don't think Skrall is ready for Warden quite yet Can Jess and Hoke now post in the thread again, or do the rest of us have to make a decision of who we're fighting with first?
  22. One thing I found interesting was how Smelling Salts can end up working against you in larger battles. They're great when fighting bosses, but when it comes to hordes of minions, you are more likely to take more damage then the rest of the Party due to taking two free hits for their every one.
  23. Could you perhaps clarify your question a little more? Generally if it doesn't fit Skrall's character, I'm not going to do it, even if the reward is high. I guess my question is more what is your definition of balanced? By it, are you asking do we try to keep our characters in the light of plausible reality by not seeking after every upgrade available to us within role-playing reason or do you mean are we more focused on playing our character as compared to playing our power-up hungry, XP ravenous, gold hoarding selves I'm assuming you are more curious as to if the way we craft our NPC's as balanced characters effect how we craft our own character in game?
  24. "Well if this ain't a big happy reunion. Ablesword, Jess glad to see yer all in one piece and you too Hans and Sir Poletad. I'd offer more hospitality, but as ya can see we seem to be in quite a condundrum. Anyways, the cat's now out of the bag. We were just on our way to take Vonnetate as a hostage anyways as a parlaying gift fer the guards. Chaps if no one else is opposed, we're joinin' up with the guards, beside if this here smartly uniformed Felton is really working for Wren, then I'm in for settlin' with the winnin' side as it were. If ya can't beat 'em join 'em." With that Skrall unshoulders his crossbow and steps to the side of the guards. "I'll wait fer the rest of you to speak yer peace, but my mind is decided." In his mind Skrall thinks to himself, hoping that Wren could hear him, "Nice to hear from ya again, young lass. I'm sure ya've been enjoyin' yer view of the battles from the peanut gallery. We'll be seein' each other real soon, I ensure ya."
  25. Skrall looks at his companions and nods to Felton, "I have no pity for a man who has caused us so much pain and has taken our friends to who knows what end. I will not kill him in cold blood but I do not think Vonnetate will have any quams in the manner." With that, Skrall hauls McColt, still gagged, out of his seat and drags him with the rest of the Party to go find Vonnetate, but he will speak with the Pog before handing McColt over.
