When did Maurice become such a green skin hater. I thought he and Jensen were on good terms, or did I miss something

Read the first rumor in the Heroica Hall thread.
-
Not that I know RPGer's reasoning, but I'm thinking this is going to be a case of mistaken identity. Though when it comes to actual harm agianst another player's character, I believe that that should be discussed ahead of time.

I'm sure, if he was willin' to borrow a few hundred Gold from me I could fix him up with a lovely cosmetic cleric.

Skrall's teeth begin to chatter, as he lets out a loud sneeze, "Achoo! Great now I've gone and cought a cold. Scheherazade, you wouldn't happen to have anythin' warm or such would ya? Hmmmph, that's the last time I ask a magic beast for help." Skrall turned back to his mug of ale, sniffling from his cold and sneezing periodically.
-
Skrall called over to Hoke, "I don't mind the beast, I just prefer a little wanin'. It's rather large to be inside though. Wait Just a moment." <You there, frost drake. My name is Skrall, do you think you could spare a couple of ice cubes for a poor ogre's throbbing skull? I whacked my head on the door frame coming in, you know how it's like being big and all.>

Skrall ordered a mug of ale and smiled as Scheherazade returned with two. Skrall passed one over to Nur and commented, "Sounds like ya've had yer fair share of adventurin'. I've yet to had to deal with the undead and I ain't looking forward to it." Skrall took a draft of his drink and settled himself in his chair. "Wren's ain't a thing but a whom. She used to be a hero of this very hall, till she woke up on the wrong side of the bed one mornin'. Believe it or not, but I actually ran into her when I was just gettin' started in the highway-ogre business. She and her party whooped us good, but her tinklin' laugh was burned into the recesses of my brain. Anyways, turns out she's some sort of Zoot fanatic, that supposed God of the Void and such, and these days she's spreadin' chaos and corruption here and there, all over these lands. My party and I met up with her on our last quest. We finished off her beasties but the witch got away in the end. That's part of the reason I'm sort of anxious to be goin' again. I've been in the trainin' room and suited myself up as a hunter, I'm meanin' to set off soon to track her down, I've got a few bones to pick with her." Skrall jumped as an icy chill pervaded through out the room as a full grown ice drake appeared out of thin air. He turned to the owner of the drake, "Watch were yer lettin' that thing go off mam. This is a hall not a menagerie."

That is also a possibility.

The NPC index is regulated by Zepher, but its entries are supplied by the respective QM's. Thus if there is a missing entry, it may be that the QM hasn't had time to craft a bio for the NPC or may have chosen not to submit them.

I really like Haldor's new avatar. If only ogres weren't so hard to customize :P

Skrall watched as Nur unsuccessfully solicited his scroll to Tomas. He called over to the sorcerer, "well now, aren't ya the opportunist business man. Plop yerself down on this bench next to mine and fill me in on yer latest undertakin's, it seems like it's been an age since our last quest together."
-
Skrall walked in through the doors of Heroica Hall and once again knocked his head against the top of the frame forgetting to stoop. Rubbing his skull as he tread up the stairs, he nodded to some of his previous acquaintances and took a seat close to the bar. "Anyone here got an opal they could spare for a little ice?" Skrall turned to Scheherazade, "Evenin' there Mam. I hope business has been good since I last left. Any new ogre hatin' heroes I should be wary of? How 'bout a bowl of stew if ya've got any." Skrall waited for his stew and surveyed the crowd. He knew his time was precious and although he was looking forward to a quiet evening with the bar maid possibly, he knew that every minute he stayed, was a minute that a certain individual got further away from him.

Skrall walked into the Training Room taking in the scents of wood and metal, sweat and blood. He bumped into a gentle man wearing a copper breast plate. "Perhaps you can enlighten me my good fellow. I've been told this is the place where one can go to freshen up ones skills in certain, what do you call them, occupations. Let me cut to the chase, I know you of the Hall don't take as kindly to those of my color skin, or at least yer bosses didn't a few years back, but I'm wantin' to track someone down and see that they get what's comin' to 'em. I'm not cut out for sneakin' and hidin' in the shadows, I want my prey to know I'm huntin' 'em down and that I will find them and it looks like this is the place where I learn how." Skrall listened to the knowledge that the man could impart to instill within him the skills necessary to become a Hunter. Skrall Level 15 Hunter Power: 24 (+4 against beasts) Health: 28/28 (+2)

First off I want to say thank you Zepher for letting me in on this quest, when you first asked for some more higher level questers I really wasn't keen on joining up, but I'm glad I did now in retrospect. Thanks for picking me and for putting up with all my back-seat QMing. One last one for old times sake OoC: Skrall did not actually complete his dream quest, he accepted it, but didn't make it all the way for 8 battles, so I didn't add the reward to my signature. I had a great time and it allowed plenty of opportunities for Skrall to grow, once I learned that I would be able to hit level 15, I started thinking up scenarios that would lead Skrall down one of the three etherless classes and it really depended upon what was going to happen in the quest. Thanks for the comments it took quite a bit of work to figure out the battles and plan for what could happen 4 to 5 rounds down the line, but it was fun though frustrating at times knowing the battles were designed to make winning them out right very unlikely, though it doesn't help when you forget that a Phoenix Smoke works even on KO'd heroes and the total power of a group of bombs isn't what you planned on. I actually slacked off in the later battles when it came to planning 7 rounds ahead and just let the battle orders go with what seemed like the semi-logical best choice, though I was completely unintenional about where in what order I put the Feltons. Now for my feed back: Great job on handling player OoC's in the quest, you handled yourself professionally, with patience, and a good attitude Superb job in adapting your storyline to how the players interacted within the quest. You took the cake with making Poletad an NPC, I originally was just going to have him as a companion to add to Skrall's character similar to Pie or some of the other characters from the hall. Also, thank you for tying in a little of Skrall's back story at the end. The battles were tough, especially as I said above when they felt like they were designed to prevent us from achieving victory. I know that that was the point, but it kind of pulls a little of the fun out of clobbering through ranks of minions. My suggestion: Keep doing it The story line was good and interesting, though I would have liked a little more freedom when it came to interacting in certain situations instead of getting into a fight without any warning or other things we could do leading up to it, though the instance where you let Tensi scare away a guard in one of the factories was a good touch. I guess I think a little more freedom outside of just chatting before going to sleep would have been more appreciated. We didn't let on, but when we had to decide whether to kill McColt, we started a PM to prevent you from hearing our plan, in which we would take McColt to Vonnetate under the pretext of having him kill McColt, but we would actually kidnap Vonnetate and then defect with McColt to the Town Guard, but you had us bump into the other Felton before we could put our plan into action. I know as a QM though how hard it is to get your PC's to stick to your story while still providing them with Independence. On the subject of story line, you did a good job in delivering a fine tale and while I would agree that I would have liked to see a little more NPC development or interaction between themselves or the PC's, you did a good job with the time you had to work with. As a matter of personal preference, I do enjoy innovative battle descriptions and pictures even if it means waiting for a little more time, but I can understand when a quest seems to be dragging a little. I'm glad to see that Hoke and Jess had a little more to do this time around compared to the arena quest. My first thought was something like, great I've sentenced to of my party to do nothing but sit around and wait for the rest of us to rescue them, but I figured out a little later that you were keeping them occupied probably and didn't have anything to worry about. I think that's about it for now, I may write a few more comments as they occur to me, but I'll wrap it up here. Good job, once again and it was a pleasure questing with all of you.

It's quite an interesting direction you have Atramor going, I'm curious to see how any of the paladin's angels may interact with McCafferey should she ever reveal her true nature.

Skrall relaxed, "What now troop? Do we turn fer the hall or see if we can catch and snare some Wren hide?" OoC: I think we're all finished here Zepher, thanks for the great game. -

Skrall eyebrows raised, as he watched Hoke unsheathing his sword and confronting Tensi. He sidled over to Rone and whispered out of the side of his mouth. "If things get out of hand, I want you and Haldor to get a hold of Hoke, I'll take care of Tensi." OoC: I'm not opposed to the duel, unless someone is dying to get back to the Hall for Scubacarrot's quest. If PepM agrees and Hoke wins the orb, then Skrall will cough up his cookies so Tensi doesn't have to take the Amathyst, as I'd like to keep the loot fairly distributed. -

Skrall looked uneasily at Tensi, he had noted her steady shift into her darker persona but had shrugged it off as due to the stress the party had been under. "Hoke speaks well Ms. Hightribe, I dare not keep the blasted thing myself. Therefore..." at that moment Skrall stumbled on an exposed root and missed his catch of the black orb as it plummeted down to the earth and rolled nonchalantly toward the irritated Berserker. "Well mate," Skrall turned to Hoke, "If ya want to tussle with her for it, be my guest, but why don't ya console yerself with this here dark gem for the time being. Oh and I forgot I owed ya this 26 gold from earlier as well," and with that Skrall handed the Amethyst and 26 Gold to Hoke. "Haldor, here," Skrall tossed the Diamond over to Haldor, "don't let that rogue of an elven beauty swipe it off ya," he chuckled. Skrall turned and hand Dyric 2 of Zoot's Cookies, "Dyric, seein' as how ya kind of got the short end of the stick with bein' conked out half the time, take two of these here biscuit cookie things, perhaps they'll cheer ya up. Jess here's two cookies fer you as well and yer portion of 26 Gold from earlier too." Skrall turned to McColt, Felton, Hans, and Sir Poletad with his mouth full of 2 Zoot's cookies boosting his health and vitality. "Well now, [crunch, crunch] shall we give chase? The witch couldn't have gotten [crunch, crunch] that far." -

Skrall hauled himself to his feet after the exhausting fight collected the treasure and his arrows before returning to the group. "Well now that was quite a scrape there wasn't it? As to the spoils, I'm goin' to let Rone get his say in, before I get to divyin' the lot up. Tensi, I know ya've already got yer two choppin' cleavers, so I ain't as keen with ya totin' another, but if no one else speaks up, this spawn of these creatures is all yours," Skrall commented, tossing Zoot's Plaything up into the air while the party waited for Dyric. <Vipera, the knight, Hoke Ablesword, bids me thank you for your assistance. He offers his help in return, should you be in need of anything at all.> -

Skrall watched as his party took quite a beating from their heavily damaged foes. Drawing himself upright he barked out a quick series of commands to the party as he prepared to finish off the Chaos Beast of Elements from the Back Row. "Felton, stick to the back use yer potion if you need too. Hoke, Tensi, keep at 'em up and close and don't let those minions get to near the back with yer shields. The rest of ya try and score and mortal hit if ya can." Skrall was in good spirits, the horse like beast had released an explosion that had damaged the rest of the party, but the battle was turning in their favor. Tensi continued to beat unrelentlessly against her opponent who refused to yield, "friend or foe," he thought, "I wouldn't want to stand in her way. If only there was a way of bringin' these beasts down quicker." Skrall reloaded his crossbow and took a shot at the Chaos Beast of Elements from the back row hoping that the battle would soon be over. Please note that this is all conjecture at the moment

Maybe the Bonapartes could have a Swashbuckler class

I was in edit mode while you were posting, I didn't feel like double posting But great minds think alike. If this is the case I guess one's best option is to stay neutral when it comes to reputation and just stick to quests that don't offer it.

Well I had at least 3/6 already going around in my head before this: Monk, Bard, and Shifter (Beast Master) I'm glad to see they're going to become a reality. Now we've got to figure out a way to get someone there quick, anyone seen any V-cards around lately I theorize it's going to be involved then in someway with your standing amongst the Houses. i.e. Alchemists: Guild of Invision, Necromancer: Ziegfrieds, Monk: Ji Pei, Beast Master: Shadeaux, Bard: Hinckwells, ??: Bonapartes, ??: Wolfgang. Thus if you have really good relations with the Guild of Invision you can't be a Necromancer but you can be an alchemist etc.
