  1. The Mafia Wiki actually has one here it's just a little hard to find. Concerning the write boards and PM's you can sometimes find links to them in the conclusions of the games if you're willing to scan through the entire thread for it.
  2. They could, but then you're shifting more into the role of a ninja at least when it comes to pop culture I beleive, as opposed to a hand to hand fighting Kung Fu master. I actually was theorizing about it as another character class, the mechanics would be slighly different when it came to figuring out attack power and they might actually have negative effects when wielding a weapon. Scubacarrot's character was talking about this type of character in the letters thread and I was wondering how one would make them a reality.
  3. Let me guess, made in Ennon? Is it machine washable? On another note, if a player does not have a weapon suitable to them or no weapon at all, can they still attack an enemy? Just wondering in case someone was dead set on playing a monk type (as in the Shaolin variety) character.
  4. It won't fit on Skrall's head
  5. All right then, bidding for Zoot's plaything has now opened please place your bids, Skrall accepts Gold, Gems, and Phoenix Essences
  6. OoC: No problem Zepher, I didn't want Hans attacking the Minion due to its special and since we didn't have to worry about free hits, I wanted the minion left alone until we had killed all the beasts. So be it, we can afford to not have anyone be on the minion these next few rounds.
  7. "Same plan. Hans, leave off the minion, we need you against these beasts." Skrall once again shot a bolt off at the Chaos Beast of Elements from the Back Row. Battle Order: Hoke Tensi McColt Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Jess Skrall Dyric Hans Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Felton Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Haldor
  8. "Keep at 'em. Same targets and battle order!"
  9. OoC: Given that we're all at full health, I'm assuming we'll all run the same attacks. Except for some minor changes in the NPCs' targets. Battle Order: Tensi Hoke McColt Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row. Skrall Hans Minion A from the Front Row Felton Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row. Jess Dyric Haldor
  10. Feeling quite refreshed and ever grateful that a cleric was accompanying them, Skrall at long last let fly at the Chaos Beast of Elements from the Back Row. Seeing the incorporeal minion joining the battle Skrall shouted over at some of the Party, "Hans, Felton, McColt, take care of that Minion! Dyric if ya feel up fer a run, why don't you go pick up that tonic and yer knife while yer at it." Battle Order: Tensi Hoke Dyric Skrall Jess Haldor McColt Minion A from the Front Row Hans Minion A from the Front Row Felton Minion A from the Front Row
  11. Unfortunately not which it why it is much harder for outside classes to advance into a magic role. Yhis actually makes sense quasi-realistically making those with magical skill more of a rarity.
  12. OoC: Haldor can't attack and pass an item on the same turn and are you using the potion or passing it? "Keep at 'em all."
  13. Knowing that the battle was going to be a long one, Skrall drained one of his potions from the back row and prepared to engage the enemy. Battle Order: Tensi Hoke Skrall Jess Dyric McColt Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Hans Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Felton Chaos Beast of Zoot from the Front Row Sir Poletad Chaos Beast of Life from the Back Row Haldor
  14. I've got to admit, the whole Bluto scenario was well thought out and really forces the heroes to make a tough decision where neither outcome seems desirable. Oh, and I think I've found a way to finally stop Wren, assuming the theories of physics and thermodynamics work in Heroica. We just need a whole bunch of ice bombs. Since Wren claims to be a follower and now presumed claimed overlord of Zoot, whom is the characterization of thermodynamic entropy, we just need to lower the temperature around her to 0 degree Kelvin at which point the system will no longer tend toward disorder satisfying the second law of thermodynamics. Wren won't grow any stronger she'll just be held constant at her current level of disorder Better yet, someone go get that Frozen saber from Boomingham, that should do the trick if it's ice elemental, perhaps if we plunge it through her heart vampire slaying style
  15. Even if you hadn't said anything we knew the end of the quest was coming up and it would have been out of character for Wren not to monologue
  16. Skrall watched as the Rebel Felton turned to ash before his arrow reached him. Wren was talking, but Skrall wasn't listening, he had just been cut short on a little piece of satisfaction and he wasn't going to allow the monologuing witch to deprive him of anymore. He had to agree with her view on the world, but that did not sway his mind into granting her mercy. Before he could fire off his next shot however, Wren was gone and had left them with their old advisaries the chaos beasts. Skrall snarled at his foes, but noticed that Hoke and Jess stood unmovingly before the beasts defenseless to any open attack. Skrall decided that the time for philosophy had ended. With heart pounding, he hustled over to Jess uncorked his Remedy and poured the substance over her from the back row. "Jess, see to it that ya unfreeze Hoke, we're going to be in need of his shield in a few moments I think!" Skrall moved from Jess and looked to the rest of his party. "Friends, I dispaired as much as you did, what ever the witch said may have been right, it's feels like fightin' against an avalance is her chaos. But, we shall not let such words blind us to the action required at hand. She may work with this world, but we shall work for it, and we shall work toward its betterment come death or destruction or the utter rending of the foundations of this reality! To that end let us fight, fight I say until we make such a name for ourselves that even the corruption of this land stands in respect of those who strived so valiently against it!" "Haldor, patch Jess up and then you two get yerself into the fight once Hoke is back with us. Dyric now would be the time for that smelling salts of yers, you're goin' to be on fetchin' duty as I expect those beasties to be droppin' plenty of useful items. The rest of ya surround the beasts, but watch yer selves. Tensi finish off that holy bony beast, Hoke will deal with the hammer wieldin' chap. Now forward!" Battle Order: Tensi Skrall Jess Hoke McColt Chaos Beast of Zoot from the front row Hans Chaos Beast of Zoot from the front row Felton Chaos Beast of Zoot from the front row Dyric Sir Poletad Chaos Beast of Life from the back row
  17. I knew an evil monologue was coming up and I wanted to do my best to stymie it a little This is one of my favorites Darth's and Droids and I always wanted a chance to do it. I actually like the character development and wish that Skrall's arrow had struck the false Felton as it would have made his progression a little more interesting, but ah well, the villain always gets the last word .
  18. I'm slightly confused, could one of the arena masters enlighten me? If both heroes attacked from the back row, wouldn't they each receive half the damage or is this only the case when they roll "damage"?
  19. "Haldor my friend, I think we know why. Were you not listening to the story, tis the "way of the world". You've seen it yerself, Heroica may shine and sparkle like the outside of a king's crown, yet inside may be found corrosion and decay, I remember too well how the Vetrens sparked a racial war that led to the enslavement and inhuman treatment of my race these many years past and that is but one of it's many vices. Most of the heroes here work for the gold and the prestige, not once have I heard of a hero turning down a reward in a show of pure selflessness, all is vanity for those who would attempt to believe that there is some sense of justice or morality that governs these land. I thought coming here to this town would be an opportunity to do somethin' good for the world, but look how easily we were fooled by some cheap trick of a dopple ganger. We may be heroes my good Nord, but we are just men, women, and orcs, nothing more, nothing less. In this cacophony of ineffectiveness we now find ourselves and there is nothing left but the randomness and chaos of the life that swirls around us mixing with the screams of the dying and their blood that pours out upon the ground. We came here to end this chaos, but all we have done is add more to it." Skrall hung his head, but then slowly lifted it, "But, I will be sodded if I don't get one ounce of satisfaction from at least puttin' an arrow through yer gullet miss for all yer high to do mightier than thou attitude, it may not be justice or righteous satisfaction, but it will appease me none the less. I never liked mages and you've just jumped to the top of my most unlikeable persons list. We know who the real Felton is now, so let's finish this up shall we?" With that Skrall shoulders his crossbow and fires a shot at Rebel Felton and then levels his crossbow at Wren.
  20. Skrall looked at the group, he thinks he had figured it out, but he still wasn't to keen on killing an innocent man, even if he happened to simply be a puppet. Skrall turned to his companions, "Well chaps, I've made up my mind, but I think I'll wait until everyone's had a chance to ask a question and now that I think of it the riddle is quite simple. Haldor remember that you can ask the delightful little lady anything."
  21. As I've said before, no problem on the length Zepher. I'm actually starting to enjoy the quest and can't wait for feedback from you. Keep up the good work Points to Chromeknight for keeping Player knowledge seperate from Character knowledge
  22. OoC: Sorry I'm still slightly confused by this statement, I think you mean she should have frozen someone who was voting since Hoke is not voting and we have an even number of votes and I'm assuming we need a majority vote? In any case, in honor of Scouts, I vote: Wren (NPC) Something in Skrall's brain finally clicked as a curtain seemed to raise on a dormant memory. It had occurred in his younger days: Skrall had joined up with a small roving band of brigands in order to supplement his ordinary highwayman habits. It was during this time that his band had stumbled upon a party of heroes on a quest. It was your normal party, an elven ranger, a dwarf, a few humans, but one had stuck out to him. She had seemed to be the mage of the party and a rather inexperienced one at that. Skrall remembered almost killing the mage several times with a shot from his bow, but she her magic always seemed to assist her. The fight had ended quickly when the mage's magic overflowed in a fear-inspiring burst of darkness magic that devastated the band of brigands, like the low level minions they were. As the party looted the brigands belongings, Skrall remembered the slightest tinkling of bells in the mages speech as the party finally moved on to whatever the goal of their quest was and Skrall blacked out. Now many years later, here stood that very mage, as dark as ever and as annoying as ever with that tinkling bell of a voice. Skrall attempted some small talk, "One question ey? Alright then, I wish to know how a chaos beast is summoned to battle. Oh and how is the 'way of the world' treating you as of late?"
  23. Zepher has just turned quest 19 into a mafia game Alright who's the investigator, we need to figure out which Felton is Town.
  24. Skrall senses the battle drawing to a close and lines up his next shot with Rebel U from the back row. Battle Order: Hans Rebel A from the Back Row Skrall Haldor Tensi Hoke Rebel Felton Rebel K from the Back Row Guard Felton Rebel J from the Back Row McColt Rebel R from the Back Row Dyric Jess
  25. I've been toying around some ideas and game mechanics and hopefully should have a quest available early Marchish.
