Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot
Waterbrick Down replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Skrall glances at the anvil, he had had experience crafting his first weapon, but a bow was a far cry from forge work. "I'll join ya Ms. Hightribe, I don't think any of the tools would suit my size anyways. Rone take care yer strikin' on that iron I don't want ya rousin' whatever beasties or gaurds are bound to be loomin' around here." -
So Skrall actually started out as a character for a lego comic I had had very closely to the style of Sandy's Princess Quest, where in he was a Robin Hood of Ogres who assisted the main protagonist. So when Heroica came up, I decided to pull him out of the closet, dust him off and throw him into the race conflicts of the present history. I wanted to model him as a rebellious baby of the family who chose his own path in dealing with orcish prejudice. More recently he's turned into a picture of the modern day working man, separated from his ogress, paying child support, dealing with orcish prejudices, not much into politics or higher learning, just trying to make a living for himself. I don't have any big plans for him as of the moment, he'll probably end up becoming a Hunter unless events in quests nudge him in a different direction. I must say that reading through everyone's back stories is really interesting and I'm interested to see how some of them develop. Question Sandy, if someone in our Party throws a retrievable item, can someone else from the Party fetch it back?

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Confirmation & Discussion
Waterbrick Down replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
At long last I can get some schoolwork done Thanks for letting me play Pandora and Rufus, it was a blast! Go Innocents! -
Skrall was supposed to be an ex-thug/bandit, but the sneaky rogue type didn't seem to fit him well and I wanted him to use a bow, so thus my only choice was a ranger.

EB Mafia Awards for 2011
Waterbrick Down replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's like walking down memory lane, congratulations everyone. I look forward to this upcoming year and all it's hilarity, stupidity, and awesomeness in the next Mafia games. Might I suggest a peoples choice award/poll for most Memorable/Best (Questionable) Mafia Moment Ever, though Cornelius Murdock is definitely one of the highest candidates and I'm sure a ton of thought went into it. -

Skrall who does not know norse adresses Haldor, "Leave her be mate, she was put on this quest more fer her intimidation factor not, diplomacy." Turning back to Haddock, "Now, then I take it our business is done here, we shall expect yer troops when we commence our attack on that witch's castle. By the way, any ideas on the weaknesses of those sodded chaos beasts her factories have been producin'? I'm sure yer warriors have had to deal with one or two of 'em." -

Good find Mr. Ettaq, a man after my own heart. While I wasn't completely convinced by Ms. Murgatroyd's reasoning, I think this new piece of evidence puts the nail in the coffin so to speak. Additionally I'm sorry to have not contributed more, it seems most of the action took place while I was at classes preparing some tea, if there's still time, I'm going to go try and do some more meditation and bring up some more discussion points before the day ends. In the mean time, I will vote: Mustafa Nidia (Brickdoctor). -

"Sounds like a plan to me. Haddock! I'm afraid we're goin' to be turnin' down yer offer of killin' Samuel. He may be a bigoted fool, but we need his troops as much as we do yers. Right now, we need ya two to work together, you can settle yer differences after we take care of the witch." -

"Unless you have some bright idea about fakin' one of their deaths Rone, I'm sayin' we don't kill either of 'em, even though I'd love to bash that Samuel's head in, we need those troops." -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day Three
Waterbrick Down replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Good morning all, at long last we have taken out one of those pesky Cultists, but at the loss of the helpful Fitzwilliam it would also appear. However, now that we know some concrete facts about their allegiances, we should be able to determine more about those defending or attacking them these past two days. I am going to reflect on the previous conversations and will hopefully arise with some more evidence, though it would seem that Nadir is already under the gun for his previous actions. Also if I might mention, and if Ms. Taylor does not mind, I think we should have the dear Captain give us his say on her virginity, as it may clear up some of the din caused yesterday and keep us from straying into useless finger pointing. -
It would seem more probable, but then again couldn't one just move all the air away from the Elven troops and suffocate them? I guess it's more a matter of how seriously people play their roles (i.e. would a medieval mage know about the science of combustion?) But good thought.

"If ya'll excuse us for a moment my good orc," Skrall comments to their host. "I'm all ears Rone, it may be easy to pass an orc of to any old human, but deliverin' Samuel to Haddock ain't goin' be that easy. If we can't fool either of 'em it looks like it comes down to either 5 troops plus the potions, 40 troops, or 25 troops. I ain't keen on killin' either of 'em, but I certainly ain't killin' Haddock to satisfy Samuel's prejudices that's fer sure." -

Skrall speaks aside to his companions, "I ain't about to go killin' another, based solely against one human's prejudice. I'd be willin' to knock some sense into this fine chap should he continue in such a bigoted matter, but I say we first go give Haddock a visit and see if we can get a better grasp of the situation." -

"Alright let's set out for the last of the rebel camps. Haldor, ya think ya could spend some ether patchin' me and Dyric up before we head out." <Sir Poletad, why don't ya accompany us today, it's always a help to have an extra set of eyes and ears in matters of diplomacy.> -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day Two
Waterbrick Down replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well I finally finished listening to all of everybody's conversation and here is my two cents too hopefully seal the case. Now that we have a positive role claim on the part of Ms. Tools I can reveal this tidbit. After Fitzwilliam first revealed his virginity I thought I'd go back and do some reflection and lo and behold I remembered this statement. If you will turn your attention to the second to last statement you will notice that Ms. Tools seems privilidged to the fact that the Cultists needed to feed only "some" of the innocents to the statue. Now, as has already been discussed, only virgins and cultists were privy to this information, the former by deduction and the latter by matter of default. Thus it would be impossible for her to make this conjecture given her most recent role claim, thus she is most probably a Cultist taking on the advice of some of our group in not claiming to be a virgin. With all that said I will vote: Malaena Tools (CallMePieOrDie). -

Let the match begin, this time I'm not stepping in the middle Seriously though, this is quite a puzzle. I think the common consensus is Fitzwilliam is an innocent given the win conditions revealed earlier today, but we've got Mehmet's erratic behavior the other day when it could have been easy to eliminate either a flavor cop, a virgin, or myself at some points before settling on the Tomato. Maybe a risk assessment is in order: If we lynch Mehmet. -Mehmet is an innocent, we lose a virgin (which we're assuming since he claims he didn't do anything the during the night) but all those on his list now know that he was speaking the truth and if he passes the list on, then we're still good to go. -Mehmet is a cultist, we eliminate a Cultist we can discard his list as false and move on, not to mention we gain a true investigation result (are we convinced that a Cultist result was obtained or are we still calling it a conclusion reached by Fitzwilliam). -

Not too much to add, going to review some day 1 and day 2 again. Ms. Taylor, your thoughts concerning the cook have been duely noted, I'm not to keen on this whole reveal everything to one person who has yet to be confirmed himself and may be possibly converted at some point felling the whole house of cards. -

Skrall unshoulderes his pack and glances around the fire at his quest mates, "Well I've a mind to visit the last of the rebels tomorrow, that way Felton can attend to the Pog. Hans you should get that nosed looked at, or avoid tree branches in the future. Anyone care to theorize on the next bit of the tale, not exactly bedtime story material, but I'm curious why we're havin' to play the audience for it." Skrall looks around to see if Sir Poletad had returned and if he bare any news concerning their missing quest mates. -

Well as it seems the train may be coming my way and I have to leave for work in 5 minutes see to getting lunch, I'm going to have to make my last statements probably now. If we are all not voting for Mr. Fitzwilliam's conviction because we are presuming he is innocent (or at least too important to kill now) then I would ask that you review my earlier defense for my previous actions as this actually strengthens my defense (i.e. the point being that if I'm a Cultist you need to assume that I'm looking for virgins to kill/sacrifice and thus why again would I step into the middle of two potential virgins when they could just kill each other off.) Oh and if it is any convenience, I am not a virgin but my abilities are also useful if we want to go to roleclaiming that, as now the real Cultists have a chance to block either the Captain or myself, but as I don't have time I have to make that claim as well. So there, both the Captain and I have made ability claims so I would ask you take a look who has made a better defense as so many of you have commented. If you don't want to take down either of us I still suggest that we look at voting off one of the quieter ones, or even Ms. Taylor as if you will remember some of her past comments/stratagy, she has been trying to avoid taking blame whom ever she votes for. I'll try to be back before the end of the vote and say more but work lunch is calling. -
I don't think it should as rogues do it all the time, switching from ranged to close combat.

I still fail to see your reasoning here Mr. Janus, if the "specific sacrifice" refered to earlier is what the Cultists need to win, then it is pertinent that we the Town keep him alive or at least from being sacrificed by our own hands this first day. This is true and as someone has already pointed out, the virgin claim would be a perfect disguise for a Cultist, however it would require revealing their win condition, which potentially helps the Townies.
