  1. I think it’s the back being shown in the new green picture
  2. Well as a Chartered Engineer who helps designs expensive cars for a living I think the Ultimate series are great. Some colour vomit to help orientate the models is sometimes needed especially on models as complex as the Chiron.
  3. Problem is they’ll have to make new crankshaft pieces too
  4. Perhaps getting new engine parts could be (in addition to a unique wheel) the uplift in this model? If they could thin an engine block even by half a stud it would make large engines more compact.
  5. A small car Contest (corvette scale) would be good. especially once we have those arches in lots of colours
  6. @Jim should be able to clarify but it should look like a Technic model and not a Model Team or System one. So think of System content for little bits of detail and not the main part of the model. Use models like the Land Rover Defender or Mack Truck as examples of what is Technic
  7. @MarkyMark42 I think you’re just reading too much into the phrase. We’re not literally “rebuilding the world” with Lego at the moment
  8. If they’re doing a F&F car it should be Dom’s charger as he often has one in the films.
  9. I’m officially pulling out of this trip. It’s a lot of money for me and the TLG involvement that if heard about in past Billund trips was the big sell for me. Also I’d been there 2 years ago on my own so I feel it’s too soon to go back to house and land. So perhaps another year

  11. I’m just hoping for a nice box and cool looking model like the current 2 ultimate cars. Seasider, CEng MIMechE ( @nerdsforprez as you mentioned it )
  12. In the 2020 thread someone is saying it’s green, but not which one. You have to remember 2 tone blue is very classic Bugatti
  13. I’ve been told they’re actually Dump Truck wheels, used on a few models supposedly
  14. Just shown a mate the pics of the Volvo and he’s just shown me this ... also launched at same toy fair! https://tamico.de/Tamiya-58676-Volvo-A60G-Hauler-6x6-G6-01-1-24-Bausatz
  15. If that was the Sian teaser for the motor show when it was launched then that’s the answer. I still think the metallic green we’ve had from long ago is a good chance. Lamborghinis are bold cars, they won’t want to use a colour already used so that rules out orange and blue. also the 2016 Gt3 RS was revealed in Geneva in orange (orangey red) and the 2 tone blue is classic Bugatti and was revealed in this colour scheme (also in 2016 Geneva). the Sian has been launched in the metallic green so I think it’ll be this colour and not red
  16. So are pics of the other sets available ? I’m guessing not the Lambo as this will be a special reveal
  17. That looks great. Love the detailing on it and big like for Landy arches in a common colour
  18. Lambo doesn’t do gullwing doors it does what’s called scissor doors
  19. We’re all still assuming it’s the Sian. As I pointed out the three line graphic is used as tail lights on all their current lineup and the Aventador is due to be replaced, so could be that. but a Sian in metallic green / lime would be great. I’ll just wait for all the people to complain about the gold wheels we’ll then get as well!
  20. I don’t think we’ll get anything powered in a UCS supercar, I don’t think there’s the room to build the sort of car TLG and the OEM would want ... and think of the cost this would make the set!
  21. Just a minor update from me for today. Managed to spend a few hours on this and it may not look like much progress on the surface but the doors and rear quarter panel are all new and now hopefully coherent. And for a tease inside to show you where the motors are going and my start for the front suspension. I’m thinking the springs may end up attached to the lower arms and I think may need spacing out a bit, at least to get some decent turning circle. So I think the next point in time I can worK on this I may start to build this in physical brick to check a few things out. Not sure what wheels to use yet either, either “standard” technic or the defender ones.
  22. @vectormatic I’m still hoping for another VW group brand to be the 2022 car but that’s because I’d also like to work on the project :)
  23. The 3 line design is actually a common theme in the modern Lambos, the Huracan and Urus both have a version of this graphic too. the Sian takes it a stage further and uses it for the front lights too. Aventador is due for replacement and could be this year, but has also been rumoured to slip to 2022 or 2024
  24. Looking forward to seeing the Lamborghini in all its glory. I’m not too bothered if there’s nothing “new” apart from new wheel mouldings for it. it does mean the UCS cars are all VW Group so far :) as to the rest of the list, I’ll wait for the pics before I decide
