  1. Someone didn't listen to my gentle warning...
  2. Sorry, I'll clarify. Let me start by saying that yes, KlodsBrik is a productive and respected, positive member of this community and I know that. When I say respect the community I'm generalizing. I say it to everyone with "bad" grammar habits. Yours, as we discussed privately, are culture–specific. But my point in saying that to everyone is that you respect yourself when you communicate to the best of your ability and your respect the community by doing the same and posting with proper grammar and capitalization. When you communicate to the best of your ability you respect yourself and everyone else around you. If you treat this like a text conversation with abbreviations and no punctuation or capitalization, you disrespect everyone, including our Site Guidelines. I don't mean that you are a disrespectful member. I only mean that we should all do our best to communicate clearly and respect the English language to the best of our ability. You agree to do this when you sign up and agree to our Guidelines. This I direct to every member, not just KlodsBrik. If I think your grammar habits are disrespectful, I don't mean that you as a person have overtly disrespected anyone. I hope that's more clear now. Let me look into this video issue now... America is not a country. Have you looked into your IE 10 settings or googled the problem to see if anyone knows of a fix?
  3. Please do not bump an old topic unless you have something significant to add. Thank you. This is, however, a beautiful MOC.
  4. Guys, please read the Site Guidelines concerning required age to join. Obviously we don't enforce the age limit but we do enforce the maturity level. Please don't post blatantly disregarding our Guidelines. Thank you.
  5. Please refer to our Site Guidelines regarding punctuation and capitalization. This is not your phone. It's a discussion forum. Please follow the Guidelines. Thank you.
  6. Play nice! Don't make me turn this car around...
  7. How are you embedding the picture??
  8. Can you link me to a post where you are trying to do this, please? And keep in mind our Guidelines about punctuation and capitalization. Respect yourself, respect the community, communicate to your best ability.
  9. It's at 350, actually. I know I kept raising it in order to post Mafia games and perhaps someone raised it even higher for indices.
  10. The max is set ridiculously high like 200 or something like that.
  11. Maybe some nice mod will fix it for you...perhaps one that hates all caps.
  12. Make sure to read the part about proper capitalization and punctuation too. Thank you.
  13. Why are you using comic sans in your signature?
  14. I'm glad you like it. Welcome to the site. Be sure to read our Site Guidelines. Specifically, one of our Guidelines is that your post should read "Hey, chill. Dum fits me." Yeah, we're serious. This isn't a text chat, it's a discussion forum. Please let us know if you have any questions. I know I've given you a hard time on your first day but we really do want you to have a good time here...and follow the rules.
  15. There's a three character minimum, not a limit. I've fixed it.
  16. I hate this topic.
  17. Life advice: here's what you don't do. When someone is already offended with what you've said you don't push it further. You don't say something like what you've said in any case, but I'm especially annoyed you weren't more sensitive to another member's feelings. I don't think what was said originally was offensive but this is. If you don't know why think about it or send me a private message and I'll explain. Don't let it happen again. This thread is about LEGO set rumors and discussion, if you guys wish to continue discussing the show and the strength or weakness of specific characters do it in this topic or I'll suspend your account. Thank you.
  18. I didn't take his comment as saying it's bad for females to become fans of Star Wars. I think he is saying that the addition of that particular character violates the Jedi code. The fact that she is young and somewhat angsty makes her a weaker character, in my opinion, than Leia or Rey, who are two of my favorite fictional characters ever. I can't tell you how amazing of a character I think Rey is. But I can understand his opinion that Ashoka was created to appeal to a certain demographic. Even if I couldn't see it, he's only expressing his opinion. He's not saying women can't be Jedi or Star Wars fans.
  19. Sure, just thank me in your Oscar speech. Ugh! It burns my eyes!
  20. I'm a Gen–Xer. I don't meme. Now that should be a meme...
  21. Typically, Train and Technic have the least amount of problems as they tend to attract the more mature and adult builders who have serious things to discuss. I think I've said it before in this thread, but both forums will typically have less "i want a funktchinning hoper car alreadyz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " or "the leggo trainz show on cn is so lamez i cant believe it duz any1 else watch it its stupid"
  22. I've heard the term snafu but not as an acronym. I'm sure I'll hear it three times in the next week.
  23. So, I looked at this like a puppy discovering a new sound and while I understand each individual word, they don't make sense together.
  24. We trust our staff to do things without discussing so that particular instance was not discussed by the staff. I can see how it seems like an over–reaction to you. But, when the staff is volunteering and trying to keep order in the forum being told to "lighten up" instead of answering the staff member's question can seem combative. And we only have a few headings to choose from for warnings. Maybe that was "Other" maybe it was "Abusive Behavior" but it was only a warning after all. The staff did not suspend your account. "Lighten up" though not vulgar (you don't have to use the F–word for something to be abusive) does seem flippant especially as it is not an answer to the question "Why did you post it?" Furthermore, did you answer the question? Once again, your thread wasn't locked, a staff member simply asked you a question as to your intention in starting the thread. We have a lot of members who join just to sell and if that staff member didn't understand your joke then they had a good reason to ask as we try to keep an eye on posted sales and auctions to make sure people aren't trying to scam our members. Again, you weren't being accused of that, suspended, or even having the thread locked. The staff member just wanted clarification. This is a tiny skirmish amongst staff/member interactions and really not quite worth this much discussion. And I haven't even looked at the thread in question yet. Also, keep in mind, the other staff member may have been responding to a report if another member looked at your response and found it disrespectful, they could've reported it to us and that could be why the other staff member got involved and used the warning system. At the end of the day, if you are not typically giving the staff a hard time, nobody will even notice you were ever given a warning. And now I have taken a look and I have this to say: And while I see you did answer the Train Moderator's question at the same time as telling him to "lighten up" I find your response to the warning came from a viewpoint that I don't see. You say it's not OK to post things "obviously meant as fun", which is discrepancy one. I don't believe it was obvious to JopieK or he wouldn't have asked. And discrepancy two is that you're saying we said it wasn't OK to post that. JopieK asked you to clarify your intention and seemed satisfied with the answer considering the topic was never locked. So why did you think it was "not ok" to post a thread that nobody told you was wrong and the staff left open for people to discuss? Perhaps you might consider that you over–reacted to the Train Moderator (who does a great job moderating that forum, time which he volunteers). And in the future, I encourage you to discuss any negative interaction with the staff, with the staff before making a public issue out of what was really a simple issue to begin with. In the end you were asked by a staff member for clarification which you responded somewhat flippantly to and another staff member asked you to be more courteous. You are more than welcome to continue a discussion when a staff member asks you to be more courteous. In my opinion, none of our staff has been rude to you.
