  1. And what have you found? A bed and a pillow? Napping away since then? Annoying post. Come back and tell us more, oh great day-looker-througher... Great, let's. Where you been? What are you doing to help get our act together? Making any progress? Frame you and covering palathadric? I don't understand your logic here. What would they benefit in framing you? Why would that much effort go into it? From all the energy that went into yesterday's thread why would they focus on the one vote against you? Is this WIFOM? Are you just saying it because I quoted Peanuts' vote and legitimate suspicions? I think (as has been discussed in private as well, and much better worded by Butch Cassidy) that Palathadric could be the Godfather. So he sent out a bunch of weird PMs joking wildly about being Scum and using phrases like "we're going to vote you out" in other PMs. Perhaps he was trying to rouse suspicion and lure the investigator to target him. If he's the type of Godfather that shows up as "Town" in investigations, then the investigator would trust him and he could make an in-road with the investigator and whatever Town block was formed and have access, potentially to all the power roles. Down with Pewter (palathadric) immediately, I say.
  2. I'm un-categorizeable! By now it should be clear to you that you shouldn't have changed anything. Why do people still believe the things you say? Crystal. I'm un-categorizeable!
  3. See, the quote even verifies that he means Robbins was killed by the vig. You should know that you weren't killed and there were two instances of Mandel and you only replaced one with your name. Why didn't you replace both?
  4. Other folks we haven't heard a lot from: Lieutenant Richard Francis (AwesomeStar) Lieutenant Zachary Jones (Masked Builder) Ensign Samantha York (Flare) Ensign Allison Williams (swils)
  5. The "Ouch, my moral compass" thing was laid on rather thick. However, to metagame, is that typical? I've never played Mafia life with Rockford(dardkdragon) before. Even if not, I wouldn't expect anybody playing Scum to twiddle their handle bar mustache and snicker in an evil fashion while talking either. The reluctance to post the PMs on moral grounds should, by no means, exonerate her from suspicion. In fact, perhaps we should keep a closer eye on her. And yes, I do realize it's rather sloppy for three people to blatantly defend a fellow Scum. However, to put my metagame hat on again, those three have gotten away with much more blatant and brazen Scummy behavior in other games lives. I'm rolling my eyes at my metagame qualifiers, not at the players themselves. In my experience, especially that of playing on the same Scum team as them, (Harper and Horny) they make their moves and rely on their ability to talk their way out of the suspicion later. Cite a holovid we all starred in (under screennames since there was nudity) called Fraulein Bloodbrick where we were a bunch of megablocks and somehow talked our way out of blatantly backing each other. We bandied about strategies of splitting votes and not appearing to all be together and voting for the same person (even in the infamous Hinck vs. Sandy case) and erred on the side of keeping our numbers up, by hounding people in private to trust us. I should stop now as I'm making the Admiral cry. I'm not saying Horny (Shadows) and Harper (Draggy) are definitely Scum, I'm just saying they're hard to read. They're very valuable assets to the Town...when they're engaged...and not showing up halfway through the first portion of a day to check if they're alive or not. Again, in my metagamey opinion, (based on an early staged reading, called Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum, I did with these people) when Harper tries to sway attention from a person, you may want to look at that person even more closely. I'm very happy to see the two of you engaged and talking more.
  6. "I'm not Scum, that guy is Scum." Close, but not exactly looking at the big Town picture... A for effort, though.
  7. The bomb could be the deciding vote too, so why don't you take that vote? The 11th? Again, I seriously doubt there is a bomb. Secondly, this is another reason I say we vote Pewter (Palathdric). It's easy to say that you'll vote first if you both are Scum and you know he's not a bomb. Also, it's possible the real Scum are laughing at us for fixating on two Townies. However, Dakar and Palathdric are both defending themselves from a place of getting themselves to the next day, not furthering the cause for the Town. I see no other attempt to help sort out what's going on in their responses. They're just plain defense posts. Usually, when a real Townie is accused, they can be seen to help postulate and figure out what is really going on. Scum, on the other hand, tend to just put up a self-centered defense and offer little else in the way of advancing the cause for the Town.
  8. I really don't think there actually is a bomb. I really don't think there is one. If it was done on purpose, it doesn't seem to benefit him too much. Unless he wanted to start a case against Pie or something. It is just plain weird. I'm still somewhat surprised by the number of people who seem to be so sure that Pewter is town, though. We have two people who have behaved strangely. One is condemned for it; the other is let off with 'no scum would behave like that'. I can't find it, but someone said it somewhere and I agree: The fact that the ever-absent George Harper (Dragonator), Thomas Hornby (Shadows) and Michael McAndrews (Tammo) all seem to be defending Pewter (Palathdric) and Harper and McAndrews didn't vote for him yesterday (Harper couldn't be bothered to vote at all) is worrisome. Let me break that down: 1. I'm suspicious that Harper (Dragonator), Hornby (Shadows) and McAndrews (Tammo) all are coming to Pewter's (Palathdric) defense. 2. They seem to be dismissing the case against him way too easily. 3. Harper and McAndrews were two of the players who didn't vote for palathdric yesterday. I say we vote Pewter (palathdric) out.
  9. So you honestly thought it was you who had been killed during the night phase?
  10. Same here. And I can't figure out which wine I was drinking! Was it the wine in front of me or the other glass?
  11. Then let's make palathdric vote for him. Actually, I'll vote first if that's the way we're going to go. Yo soy vanilla...
  12. Those are the two things I thought of as well. Surely, Pie would know what he said. Palathdric must be the Godfather or something important. Do we get two lynches since we squandered yesterday? We'll have to kill one and hopefully block the other one.
  13. _______________________________ OK, but it's really weird, right?
  14. No. He literally replaced his name in the quote. Why would someone do that? Ensign Campbell (Dakar A), You blatantly re-wrote the wording of what you quoted when we still have the original post to reference. The arrow in your quote leads back to Pie's original statement. I don't even understand what that would accomplish... Some reason to seem like an obvious lynch choice because palathdric is more valuable? Let's just start with that. Why did you change the quote, Campbell?
  15. But for that split to mean anything, we'd have to know if palathdric was Scum or not. If it was split to save someone, it was palathdric who would've benefitted. Now I know you are Scum. We can easily trace it back to me saying something like "What strange choices for targets. Are there two Scum teams? I was simply demonstrating that I wouldn't think Town would kill either one of those people. Any mention of 2 teams since has been panic and an odd fixation on it like it was ever brought up legitimately. WIFOM. Not to mention, we have the split vote from yesterday. Plus, in addition to the private conversations with Toby Rockford(darkdragon) he also sent a weird "threatening" PM to someone accusing them of being Scum because of their hair. It's just weird behavior for Day One, and while it may be considered "obviously joking" do we really need it around? Isn't there enough hinging on his loyalty for us to want to be sure? Is he providing some service to the Town that it's worth sparing him for? I think it would make a very good lynch as it could tell us a lot about yesterday's voting pattern.
  16. I mean, maybe a watcher, investigator, something or other targeted palathdric. Maybe we shouldn't rely heavily on the simulation. God damn, can we use both names until we're all sure of who we're talking about. I'm so freaking lost. I'm tired of keeping two windows open to play matchy-matchy with the names. OK, Campbell is Dakar and Pewter is palathdric. OK, you think we should lynch palathdric. See, kids, how trolling the game doesn't help anything? Considering we couldn't get a lynch yesterday, I'm interested to see if the people who wouldn't vote for him or spread votes further just wouldn't because they couldn't give up one of their own Scum-mates on Day one. It should have been easy to get rid of the guy who was being a jackass and, supposedly, joking about being Scum and killing people. If we don't get rid of him, we'll always wonder. Focus, people. And people who site their gut as a reason for doing things should be heavily scrutinized. That was a waste. We'd never assume that dick would be stupid enough to make such an obvious kill. WIFOM. So, all he has to do is claim a role and he's off the hook? Then, he should probably claim a role when he shows up, huh?
  17. Nitpick: traditionally, the affiliation is listed by the dead's name and avatar. It makes it easy for reference.
  18. What is causing this certainty that we're seeing a vig kill. There are three options. A vig, a Scum kill and a serial killer (or second faction). I don't see anything that gives any indication either way. Serial killers usually choose middle-of-the-road players so they won't be protected or watched. Peanuts seems like he would've been a good serial killer target. This is true. With a possibility of three killers, one still could've been blocked or an additional target protected. Nothing really clears any suspicion I had from the three people I mentioned. I have a gut feeling about them, but nothing concrete. Nothing anyone else is thinking should be based on my opinion. We can only go off solid night results...of which I have none to share. Hopefully, those who do have Night Actions will find a way to communicate their results to everyone else. Maybe our buddy palathdric/Campbell was targetted by one of our Townie actions last night...
  19. This is where my mind has trouble reconciling things. I still don't trust you but I think palathdric would've been the logical lynch yesterday. Maybe with danny dead, those who were so gung-ho against him will vote for palathdric. Who did vote for Mandel (Dannylonglegs)? There. I've highlighted our two known town roles in green and the ones who voted for Mandel or split the vote (some very late in the day - eyes Tammo - ) in red. Scum rarely lacks the knowledge of foresight to all vote for the same person. If palathdric is Scum, maybe one of them even voted for him, but the rest spread it out to avoid him being lynched? Lynching palathdric would be the best way to find out. Let's not waste this chance to learn from the voting record, let's lynch Ensign Pewter (palathdric) today!
  20. You mean Dakar or the vig? You say the gun belongs to the vig and then say "his" suspicion and place in my play. The vig wasn't in the play, but when you continue, you are clearly referring to Jack Campbell. Are you a neutral role cop that investigated Campbell last night and found him to be a vig? What the hell are you saying? Could the gun belong to a serial killer?
  21. I have him down in my notes for "dividing the votes further at the end of the day." Maybe that has something to do with it. Although, the vote was for Ensign Jack Campbell, who is the person I found the most suspicious. Perhaps the Scum wanted to silence Peanuts for something he was right about: I agreed with this, but didn't change my vote since I was planning a sting. I agree with the dearly departed Peanuts and would be happy to vote for Ensign Jack Campbell (Dakar A) when the time comes. No worries. I'm glad you're not upset. I wanted to make sure it came out immediately as I knew the real investigator could pop up at any time. Also, if I tried to keep the ruse going it could backfire on me, if the Scum have a role cop, and they would turn the focus to my lie if they somehow found out. I had to come out and admit it first. It would've gotten harder and harder to get away with the ruse. There's absolutely no reason for the Scum to go after me now. And our protector can focus on better targets as well. What if Scouty or Tammo was a protector and wasted their Action on me? And then we lost the real investigator. Besides, I learned a lot about the two of you and feel my suspicions against Dakar A were well founded, so it wasn't a complete loss. I do wish the two of you were anonymous in the play, but I wrote it very fast... It's just as valuable to keep the people I trust anonymous as it is those with Night Actions. Anyway, I wrote the play as a possible post for someone to put up if I had died. When the day went up, I hastily posted it without thinking of removing the names. So, hi there Ensign Jack Campbell. How's it going?
  22. I told Butch and Sundance that your reactions to my fake investigator claim seemed Town and I now highly doubt you are Scum...if that's any consolation.
  23. Are there two Scum teams?? Why would a vigilante go after either of those two? Oh, I may as well get this out of the way... Ensign Jason Falcon Flipz Out A play in two acts by Harriet the Slut Act One Scene 1 Science Officer Lieutenant Michael McAndrews (Tammo): Hey Jason Falcon. Jason Falcon: Oh, hi. Michael McAndrews: I know it's not even Day One, but we're playing together! Yay! It'll be fun to play together again! Should I claim bomb? Jason Falcon: Like you did when you were Scum in IMHOTEP? Michael McAndrews: He hee... I'm not Scum. Jason Falcon: Then why are you PMing me so early? Hey everybody! Michael sent me a PM during the confirmation thread! Seems a little odd, doesn't it? Michael McAndrews: No, it's not odd. Everyone's doing it! PMing is the new meat shield! Jason Falcon: OK. First Officer Commander Cameron Walters (Scouty): Hi. Jason Falcon: Hello. Cameron Walters: I am PMing you too. Jason Falcon: I see that. It's a bit early in the game, right? Seems a little Scummy. Cameron Walters: Maybe, you're Scummy! Ensign Jack Campbell (Dakar A): Hi. Jason Falcon: What??? Jack Campbell: Want to share suspicions? Jason Falcon: We've barely started Day One, I don't have any suspicions yet! Jack Campbell: OK, want to see a baby picture of me? Jason Falcon: No! Scene 2 Jiminy Cricket: Hi Jason Falcon. Jason Falcon: Are you an alias for one of the characters? Jiminy Cricket: No, I'm your conscience! Jason Falcon: Oh good, I need someone to talk to so this is a scene and not a monologue. Jiminy Cricket: O-Kee-Do-Kee! Jason Falcon: Three people PMed me early and I think that's really odd. But, I'm a vanilla townie and I have no way of telling if any of them are Scum or not. Jiminy Cricket: Gee Willikers! Jason Falcon: I know. That's what I thought. So, I guess if I really want to make something happen in this game I have to make up a Night Action. Jiminy Cricket: Make one up? Jason Falcon: Stop interrupting! I will make up a Night Action. I call it "Lying to the suspicious." Jiminy Cricket: Lying is wrong. It'll make your nose grow. Jason Falcon: Shut the megabluck up, Jiminy Cricket. Now, if I send each one of the suspicious people a PM and tell them I'm the investigator and one of them is Scum, they'll try to kill me. Jiminy Cricket: But then you'll be dead. Jason Falcon: True. But at least a real power role won't be targeted and if I tell someone else what I did, they'll know who to suspect! Jiminy Cricket: But who are you going to tell? What if they're Scum? Jason Falcon: WIFOM! I'll tell a few people, I guess. One of them is bound to be Town. This game is nerve-wracking! Act Two Scene 1 - the end of Day One Jason Falcon: Hi Jack, Cameron and Michael. Jack, Cameron and Michael: Hi. Jason Falcon: If I were the investigator, hypothetically of course, who do you think I should target tonight? Scene 2 Jason Falcon: Hello Butch Cassidy. Hello Sundance Kid. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: Hi! Butch Cassidy: How many consciences do you need? Sundance Kid: No, we're aliases. Butch Cassidy: Oh, these plays give me a headache. Jason Falcon: I'm a control freak without a Night Action, so I told Michael, Jack and Cameron that I'm the investigator. I'm telling you in case I get killed, you'll know who to suspect. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: Scene 3 Jiminy Cricket: You shouldn't have lied! Jason Falcon: Technically, I didn't. I never said I was the investigator. I only said "if" and "hypothetically". They inferred. Jiminy Cricket: That's a lie and you know it. Jason Falcon: Maybe I should tell one more person in case Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid are both Scum. Jiminy Cricket: Oh, what the hell? If the next person you tell is Scum, then you've given them five people to blame your murder on! Jason Falcon: If I survive, I should write a thorough play to explain what I did, so it doesn't come back and bite me in the megablocks. Jiminy Cricket: No! If the Scum think you're the investigator, maybe there's some benefit in keeping it going for another day. You could just tell the people you've lied to that you were blocked or better yet, the result was unsuccessful. What a mess you've made. But, in for a penny, in for a pound. You should definitely hold some secrets this time instead of constantly playing your cards all the time. What is it? Do you like the attention? Does your ego need to be constantl... (Jason Falcon stomps the life out of Jiminy Cricket. Jason Falcon's nose grows.) The End. I know there are never clues to people's affiliations in the pics, but what is Dannylonglegs holding? Is that some indication that he had a Night Action? I hope not. I also wonder why he turned into a skeleton and then into a black leg and two black arms. Was he a post-death shape-shifter? Is that a Night Action?
  24. Is this some joke from the simulation?
